  1. On that basis you will never qualify again !!!!
  2. Dirty business sometimes i dont doubt but if the yanks have got him fair play to them. I dont think too many people will be mourning his loss and to be fair, if jihadi john was/is Emwazi MI5 were clearly speaking to the right sort of people !!!
  3. Theres one drone strike that definitely did the world a favour !!
  4. Could I be as bold as to suggest if you get a really nasty one headed your way we call it "Maggie" ?
  5. Youre right I woudnt have and fair play to them. It will probably be as long again before they do it again. With the league set up Scotland has you should be qualifying on a regular basis. you havent now for 20 odd years and this time round you even fecked it up with an expanded Euros !!
  6. Nope you pick the wrong manager time and time again. I cant see Strachan getting you out of that group next year either. With the best will in the world on what ive seen this qualifying and the last friendly we played against you Scotland will hold no real fear for England. the games will be hyped no doubt but quite simply you really shouldnt be beating England they are a much better side. Im not saying that it wont happen and you may well get a result but even if you did youd lose the following game to Slovenia ! You need the right manager and from a purely selfish point of view I hope you keep strachan because it will probably be more of the same next year. That said, genuinely sorry for some on here as I know what it would mean for you to qualify. Next summer is going to be painful at least you can be happy when England balls it up again. I have this really scary vision of Gareth Bale collecting the cup !!!!!
  7. I think your're my favourite poster but as a non-scot that voted tory last time out does this rule out a relationship ?
  8. this one always makes me smile. Imagine a league of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Athletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Borussia dortmund, Ac Milan. Inter Milan, Juventus, Man U, Chelski, Man city etc. only one team can win a league and like all leagues it would settle over time to a top 3/4 teams. I would suggest that those teams wouldnt like mid table mediocrity for too long and thats what most would get !!! It would never happen just like Celtic etc joining the EPL . Turkeys dont vote for xmas !! especially when the EPL is currently enjoying record revenues. The only possible way those two would join the EPL would be if it imploded financially which I cant see happening just yet. Its possible, but it would require an extreme set of circumstances
  9. Would suggest you take a look at list of winners of European Cups/Champions league, English clubs record isnt too shabby unlike a certain countries ;-) You can also probably look forward to supporting ABE next year once again ;-) just pointing it out like
  10. To be fair if you listen to Ian Wright and take anything he says seriously I would suggest counselling !!!!
  11. It does indeed, I would agree that there are more than a few shocking games in terms of quality across the whole EPL. But in terms of surprises theres always a fair few !!
  12. Sorry disagree in Rugby that is a factor, the celtic teams are effectivley franchises with no fear of promotion or relegation or an overly competitive league. they actively prioritise the european games. The recovery time after a rugby game is massivley different from football.
  13. True but in terms of overall package comptetitiveness/quality/teams etc I'd say that the EPL is up near the top. the fact that we are having a shite time in the champions league is neither hear nor there in my opinion . english teams will bounce back. With the money that get in the next few seasons they can probably sign some of the worlds best. for the record I only support English teams in European finals unless its the Arse whom i really want to lose !
  14. Regarding the national side that hasnt been the case for a fair few years but dont let thr truth get in the way ;-) As a league I would say that possibly only the german is better as an overall package but that has turned into a one horse race. Each to their own i say
  15. If i were you I would concentrate on changing the perception of what is often called the the Scottish Pointless League, because whether you like it or not the EPL is probably the most popular league on the planet. And for the avoidance of doubt I probably enjoyed arsenal and Chelski getting turned over just as much as you ;-)
  16. To be fair Im not sure what id rather, the pig or Diane Abbot !!!!!
  17. I stand corrected !! And to be fair it's only the rebellious ones we want to crush, the rest are alright ;-)
  18. Its not a sham youve had your say and you voted to stay in ;-) and who are the facist murdering scum you speak of ? I dont believe Her Majesty has "offed" anyone recently either personally or by design !! As for the song i think its a cracker i sing it every morning the full version and I really belt out the "crush the rebellious Scots" bit
  19. Because if he doesn't he will win feck all in 2020. I find it equally amusing you find this difficult to process ;-) he's got the entire media after him he can stick to his principles and play the game they are not mutually exclusive.
  20. Which makes you wonder why he didnt turn up in a matching suit with his tie done up and sung the song, because the people who read the book you mention wouldve had feck all to complain about, and maybe, just maybe he might've started to win a few doubters over ! because as previous when you are in the soptlight, perception matters ! He should give your Ms Sturgeon a call about how to up his game because there's a lady that certainly has !
  21. I would agree but its the great unwashed and the media he's playing to and its the "fools" he has to win over
  22. Whether you like it or not the great unwashed generally expect their political leaders to play the game. I admire the bloke already as he seems a deeply principled man but if he turns up to an event like that and doesnt play nicely they will go after him. I would add that i'd never vote for him in a million years but I do still admire him, he's too left wing, even for my working class roots ;-)
  23. Any right minded individual should be appalled at that image im not ashamed to say it moved me to tears. As a father to three boys i couldnt help but think what if that was one of mine. I dont know what needs to be done but the British government doing sweet fa about it is not feckin good enough. That image should be on the front page of every newspaper unedited.
