  1. Yeah, I like him too. You know if Marty finally loses his shit then the game is up , as he is holding it all together. But from an entertainment point of view I find Ruth/Darlene and Wendy the best, and in that order 😊
  2. The layout is different. There used to be a separate heading in bold for Anything Goes, on the front page, Non TA just related to the NonTA football did it not ? Now it is all lumped in together and in grey which makes it look a bit like it is unavailable, like on Microsoft products.
  3. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/boris-johnson-jimmy-savile-starmer-speaker-b2005010.html%3famp ‘The Commons Speaker has slapped down Boris Johnson for his Commons claim that Keir Starmer failed to prosecute Jimmy Savile, amid a growing backlash. Lindsay Hoyle said he could not intervene after the prime minister made the allegation on Monday – because it did not fall foul of parliamentary rules.’ So, if Starmer had replied and called him a liar would he have been chucked out the house too ? They may want to look at overhauling parliamentary rules as well as Downing Street. A retrospective slap is pathetic.
  4. ‘’’Dominic Raab initially claimed Mr Johnson’s remark was simply “part of the cut and thrust of parliamentary debates” – but when challenged to repeat the claim, admitted he could not.’’ It would seem that lies are now simply classed as the cut and thrust of parliamentary debates. They dont even try to disguise it anymore. Why on earth should anyone believe anything that is said.
  5. So, the great Tory revolt has run out of steam and here we are with potentially the worst PM in history sniggering up his sleeve after yet another Houdini escape. I hope I am wrong but I fully expect him to wriggle out of the police enquiry too. Never have I felt so dismayed at living in the UK. People have suffered immeasurably over the last 2 years and that smug bastard simply says he will fix it like its a leaky tap. Even if you gave Johnson the benefit of the doubt, how on earth can you rely on a guy to fix something when he didnt even have intelligence the to realise that what was happening was wrong ? Its not like he didn’t know it was going on. And fellow Scots criticising Ian Blackford for calling him out. FFS Scotland take a good look. Surely we can do better than this.
  6. Has the layout been changed again? I thought Anything Goes had been abandoned until I noticed the greyed out ‘ Non TA ‘ box. Its not exactly obvious. Must be the same folk running this as is running the SFA ticket website. In other news, I totally forgot Orraloon used to be a black square.
  7. As deflection and whataboutery goes this is off the scale even for a politician : ‘’ Johnson accuses Starmer of talking “tissue of nonsense”. He claims Starmer is trying to prejudge the police inquiry. And he criticises Starmer for not prosecuting Jimmy Savile when he was DPP.
  8. The website crashed my bloody work pc. Had to use my mobile. Went onto website at 9.50 am just to log on , and I was in an hour queue to log on. Got tickets eventually but almost the entire north stand and part of the west stand was single tickets only by then.
  9. Ruth is the best character by far. Infact, at the risk of sounding sexist, the best parts are all played by women 😬 Wendy has gone batshit crazy.
  10. Would they hell. But I honestly think a lot of people dont care who the figurehead is so long as the conservative party remain in power. I work in financial markets and the pound has been totally unaffected by the political situation, in fact sterling has strengthened against the Euro the last couple of weeks and its only weakened against the US dollar due to the Russia Ukraine conflict and the soaring US inflation. The reason sterling has been unaffected is because there is very little chance of a new government ( ie Labour) and therefore UK economic policies will remain unchanged. Importers and exporters just want exchange rate stability and Boris Johnson is not adversely affecting this in any way.
  11. I think it may end up the latter. He will limp on for a while. My view of opinion may be clouded though as I mainly speak to business people and they are probably more bothered about keeping the Tories in power than who leads the party. Whilst they think Johnson was wrong I think they hope it all just blows over like every other problem he has been involved in. The general voter however may be more critical and his days numbered.
  12. Are you in a huff cos you never got my email invitation to the garden party ?
  13. Or maybe not. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/politics/2022/jan/28/sue-gray-report-fears-indefinite-delay-met-intervention-partygate
  14. I dont know anyone who is complimentary about him either but another leadership contest so soon after the last is not something Tory voters want as it suggests a government in disarray . I think the Tory MPs will think the same and if it does come to a vote of no confidence i think he will win it. For now. I see the 1922 committee have decided to keep the time required between no confidence votes at 12 months instead of changing it to 6 months . Funny that.
  15. Despite the fact that I do not know one person who hasn’t condemned him for partygate , if the people in England that I speak to on a regular basis are anything to go by then scarily enough there are a number of people who will be prepared to let it go if there is any chink of exoneration in this report. If he gets enough support down there it wont really matter what happens up here. You are right though it will linger , a slow lingering death no doubt as his time will eventually come, he is just not cut out for this level of government . I cannot believe people will overlook his numerous failings because ‘he got Brexit done’ or ‘got the vaccine done’. Have they seen the state of Brexit and do people really think the vaccine programme would not have happened without Boris Johnston ? The Scottish Conservatives really will have a big decision to make if he stays as a large proportion of them have displayed their discontent. I have no doubt whatsoever they will simply roll over as they are stuck between the devil and the deep blue Conservative and Unionist party , and they just cannot be seen to do anything that may jeopardise the union. You would think their flip flopping would piss off conservative voters up here but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
  16. I have only 1 episode left , its going to take a pretty strong ending to heave it up from a 7/10 😁 Even having 2 of my heartthrob actors in it , James Nesbitt and Richard Armitage 😍 , still hasn’t done it for me. I have read a few Harlan Coben books, I may have just become too familiar with his plots. What on earth are those 2 left field characters all about. They look like they have been parachuted in from the People’s Postcode Lottery adverts.
  17. No reference to any of the points made by Blackford , just a cheap jibe at his weight. That prick is going to survive this fiasco, he is far too relaxed . The report will stop short of sufficient direct blame and even if there are enough letters of no confidence submitted there are more shitebag Tory MPs who will support him.
  18. I must admit that was the first thing I thought.
  19. Things ramping up a gear … https://www.google.com/amp/s/inews.co.uk/news/downing-street-met-police-investigation-lockdown-rules-boris-johnson-cressida-dick-1421464/amp
  20. ‘Any Conservative and Unionist Prime Minister will be better for Scotland than the Scottish Nationalist Party ‘ . Meh, you still think that Theresa ? The warnings were there all along with Johnson. How on earth did anyone think he was capable of holding this position? The racist fooker orchestrated her downfall yet she was still prepared to support him against Blackford’s comments. And what is it about Tory Prime Ministers that they struggle to even grasp the name of the SNP ? Their disrespect to Scottish democracy is beyond the pale.
  21. Happy New Year Britain. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/features/2022-01-20/rising-energy-price-cap-tax-increases-high-inflation-coming-to-u-k-in-april
  22. 😬 Despite his fine lyrics it would appear heaven actually couldnt wait any longer 😞 😂 I am most definitely a case of you can take the girl out of Paisley etc…. We were in the Grosvenor cafe or whatever it is called now. It is lovely but it is also pretty big , I imagine it could seem a bit soulless at times . There was a DJ and he was playing loads of retro type music , it was a great laugh. There was 9 of us and we were on a long table just below the DJ, there was a group of asian guys at the other end and another group of really young guys across from us. They werent giving a damn up dancing to Abba despite the group of cool chicks sitting near them sniggering. We were all dancing away at our tables, then Paradise by the Dashboard light came on ! It was like I had been transported back to 1985 😁 I was a baw hair away from hauling myself onto the table . Turned out a great night. Hope you got your karaoke !
  23. Fantastic. I am getting it on before I go out tonight.
