How should people become politicians? This is a genuine question I am not being narky. Should there be a ‘path’ to follow? Most politicians dont just appear as a cabinet ministers ( its at this level the big decisions are made) from nowhere so they should have some general political experience before they make the bigger decisions. Are we saying that isnt good enough and to get a cabinet position they need to have had some sort of experience at a lower level within that area and demonstrated competency to a high level ? Or have worked at a high level within the NHS before becoming a politician and taking on a position in health for example? Or be a teacher before getting education? And as far as becoming an MP/MSP in the first place , do they need to have been for example a councillor for so many years and obtained some sort of qualification ? I don’t think politicians are any different to any other job in as much as there will always be shirkers and those who are not up to the job. You get shite call centre workers/ builders/ mechanics/ etc etc. All these people the public are paying money to in some way or other, its not just politicians. You are always going to get some that are only there for a wage.

Thats some interpretation of ‘support’. They were as hostile as hell and their ‘song sheet’ was 90% provocation . I suppose thats what happens when you are a wee extension of England. I personally wasn’t offended in any way, as I mentioned earlier, it just made them sound like fannies. I was more irritated, the constant ‘ Scotland getting battered’ song was like listening to those vuvuzelas for 90 mins. Or Doh a Deer. But if I ever do get offended I will take your sound advice and join a wee sewing bee or something equally suitable for women and those of an easily offended disposition 👍

Oh , do not associate ‘ he hates politics’ with ‘taking a step back’ . He thinks they are ALL crooks . You are not wrong. Our support was truly honking last night . Folk can go on about the team giving them nothing to cheer about but there was not even any build up in a stadium where a reasonable crowd were in early . We have qualified for the Euros, I would have thought that was some sort of justification for atmosphere at the start . Away fans will always bring some noise , it’s often a hard core of dedicated support and they have usually been drinking all day. It’s not so much fun jumping on a bus from work or driving on a freezing Tuesday night, but jeezo we were pathetic . As far as your support goes, I have never really bundled NI in with the ‘England’ rivalry, but the twice I have witnessed the fans has not been particularly pleasant . Might be a home nation thing but I think its probably a bit more bitter than that, no doubt fuelled by royalty, politics and some fans of a certain Scottish club. I would personally rather leave that at home. On both sides. Your team deserved to win, you did what you had to , but I will not be rushing back in the future to witness our revenge 🙂

I can categorically say I will never be back at another NI game. I thought the last one was maybe just a bad experience. Was laughable right enough hearing them singing almost continuously about Scotland being ‘ battered ‘ everywhere we go when they are up just 1-0 in a friendly yet we have qualified from the group for the Euros. Kinda actually lends weight to the ‘thick Irish’ title that is jokingly bestowed upon them 🙄 It would probably not have been so irritating if we had performed better but there is definitely a nasty side to their support.

Its not particularly clear in the ticket information link. The final paragraph in the ‘members without a smartphone section’ makes me think that this is the only transfer situation where you will get a point , as it doesn’t state this anywhere else, but I am not sure.

I couldn’t think what it was that the design of the top reminded me of , it is of course a Playstation type design. Great pic below of McTeeko and his wee boy. I think the top looks good on kids, probably because of the Playstation connection. I know adults play it too but I definitely think its more a kids design. I think you could do either of these ways. I think your ticketless pal just has to download the Hampden ticket app, then your holiday pal transfers his ticket to him using the ticketless pals email address. ( first pic) would be good if someone could confirm this though incase its only another ssc member it can be transferred to . If so , treat it like holiday guy has no smartphone ( second pic.) as these can be transferred
