  1. Meh, I’m ok, β€˜lovely’ might be pushing it a bit. Stop trying to sook up to me, despite McTeeko trying to ruin my wholesome image I am still no interested in your iron.
  2. πŸ˜‚ that actually makes me sound rather alluring. Certainly more-so than stomping up to you and yelling β€˜ ARE YOU McTEEKO ??? The truth is always less interesting isnt it πŸ˜•
  3. πŸ˜• I was hoping no one remembered that, it wasnt up very long. I didnt even know you were on here then . Damned board staying alive and spoiling my grand exit 😑 For the avoidance of doubt, and as nosey as I am , I dont actively β€˜seek out’ anyone on here . That would be just TOO weird. But if I saw Big Ramy I would say hello to him. And I know what Slasher looks like now that he is a famous author, so he might be next on my hit list . πŸ€”I will take his book to the next match and see if he will sign it for me.
  4. Lets hope your seamstress isnt dyslexic . β€˜ Big Mary β€˜ wouldnt have the same impact πŸ™‚
  5. I agree, but this is a Rangers thread not a Celtic thread. FWIW I dont think that you or Rangers club condone it, but IMO the club does not go anywhere near far enough to stamp out sectarianism and I have no reason to think they will make more effort on racism. Its a pity as they probably could kill 2 birds with one stone. You have said yourself that you dont mind the ( sectarian ) singing , and thats part of the problem, some people seem to think its just a laugh. You will never eradicate it with that attitude. Rangers go on about being a big family, well I dont know what kind of family they are. If anyone was singing that pish in my house they would be out on their arse. Rangers are the Dot Cotton of football. Totally unwilling to recognise and deal with the rotten apples in their family.
  6. I have never worn my name on a shirt , apart from anything else β€˜Tidy’ is probably not the best name for a middle aged woman to identify herself with in a bar. However, if I was sitting with people and it was clear they posted on this board I would be very interested in who they were. Wtf how could you not be interested , I would have extracted every minute detail of your life from you before you were on your second pint. When I was in Israel I saw MCTeeko in a bar , I only knew as he has his picture on here . I went over and we had a chat. Also met Doontheslope for a nano second, funnily enough he left the board not long after that.
  7. Makes a pleasant change that Rangers β€˜talk β€˜ in Europe is about their football rather than their fans behaviour , which regularly embarrasses the country not make it proud. With regards to the statement, its better than nothing but words are cheap. If action against racism is dealt with in the same way as sectarianism is then little will change.
  8. I was at my dentist a couple of weeks ago and they said they thought the SG was going to try and push towards privatising dentistry. Received this email from them today. They are no happy..... 15th July 2020 IMPORTANT NOTICE – THIS CONCERNS THE FUTURE OF NHS DENTAL SERVICES IN SCOTLAND Dear Patient, We hope you and your families are well during these testing times. We wish to update you on the current situation facing all Scottish dental practices that provide NHS services: The Scottish Government (SG) announced it will allow dental practices with registered NHS patients to provide β€˜routine’ dental care from 13th of July 2020. However, SG have forbidden the use of Aerosol Generating Procedures on NHS patients within the practice. This is any treatment involving air and/or water – 95% of what we do involves aerosols. The SG have failed to acknowledge that a check-up requires use of aerosols to enable adequate inspection of your teeth and to plan your treatment properly. As an NHS patient, if you require an aerosol procedure such as a simple filling following a check up, we will then have to refer you to an NHS Dental Hub. Our clinical staff have been fit tested for enhanced PPE and have undergone further cross infection training to comply with updated protocols and procedures. This ensures your visit to our practice is safe and reduces the risk for COVID-19 transmission. There is worldwide evidence supporting the safety of routine dental treatment with these measures. The SG department Health Improvement Scotland (HIS) also supports these measures therefore allowing us to offer private aerosol treatments in a safe manner. Subsequently, the only effective non-aerosol treatments we can provide on the NHS are extractions and temporary fillings for teeth. There is no such restriction on providing aerosol treatments privately in our practice. We follow GDC standards which means we offer private treatment as part of your options when consenting to your treatment plan. NHS dentistry has been underfunded for years and is only feasible through Government subsidies and contractor practices such as ours, running an efficient business with a high number of patients and short appointments. This is no longer sustainable as the COVID-19 pandemic means we cannot see enough patients to make our businesses viable without SG support. Currently we are only permitted to see 10 patients per day. We have written numerous letters to the SG to express our concerns yet they have imposed the closures and restrictions without proper consultation with the dental profession. Lastly as it has now been 4 months since we have carried out any dental examinations (which includes an oral cancer screen) we have decided to set up a private examination clinic for anyone who doesn’t wish to wait any longer. This is for your peace of mind. Should you wish to book an appointment for this – the cost is Β£30 and you will be given a 15 min slot – we are still adhering to social distancing so are limiting the footfall in the practice - if you need any further treatment you can decide to have this done privately or go onto our waiting list for NHS treatments You are also welcome to contact the practice for all your emergency and urgent dental needs but we regret that the NHS treatments we provide will be restricted for the reasons stated above. If you feel in any way concerned about the situation affecting you as an NHS patient we would encourage you to write to your MSP to express your dissatisfaction.
  9. πŸ€” Did I forget to mention they are also often sensitive to criticism ... Might be a bit exaggerated for effect, but I will eat my Sunday best hat if a large percentage of older folk flying just now dont have that attitude. X
  10. To some extent I can understand older people thinking β€˜fook it’ I am old, I may not have long to live no matter what, so I am going on this holiday. That relaxed attitude however does not really resonate with someone who is frightened about having to fill in a couple of forms. More like moany old gits who think because they have survived the war they are immortal and that nothing is getting in the way of their karaoke and bingo in Benidorm. Probably the same folk who moan at kids for kicking a ball outside their house after 7 pm.
  11. πŸ‘ Canny tell the difference between all those damn costas, eh πŸ™‚
  12. I thought you were flying back from Alicante ? Is that not Costa Blanca ? The point is the situation can change at at anytime . Costa del Sol has seen a resurgence of the virus since holidaymakers started returning. If I were in my 70’s and 80’s I dont think I would be taking the chance.
  13. Have watched a few episodes of β€˜Dark’ , its very good so far. German sci-fi , its like a more adult version of Stranger Things.
  14. Strange priority. I think people in their 70’s and 80’s who are travelling abroad at this time might have more to worry about than filling in a form.
  15. Petty politics aside , there is a serious sense of privilege or vanity by anyone who makes a fuss about wearing a mask at this time. Really, how difficult is it ? Obviously apart from someone who has a respitatory problem which was aggravated by a mask, but I doubt people in this category would be going out much anyway at the moment. My daughter and her boyfriend were in Glasgow yesterday returning some clothes they had bought online, they said everyone in the shops were wearing a mask which is great to hear.
  16. Was in the car with Mr Tidy the other day and we stopped at an M&S food outlet. I went in and got a loaf then got back in the car. He says β€˜ you do realise you just ignored that massive queue and walked straight in the shop ?’. I said what queue ? He then pointed to a queue of about 15 people, one of them of policeman. I never even seen the queue. He said the folk were all rolling their eyes.
  17. πŸ˜‚ anyone whose heard of Victor Meldrew is old. I dont know, my supermarket is pretty busy and I am pretty certain there isnt a system apart from the checkout aisle. They need to mix up a bit, I think it would be quite scary walking round a supermarket , everyone with masks on walking in the same direction. Asda in Linwood is scary enough at the best of times.
  18. Ok, can someone explain to me why this is allowed as I think I must be missing something. A furloughed person gets 80% of their wages paid by the government, but cannot work for the company during that time. Yet they are allowed to take a job in another company so long as that company does not have staff furloughed. So they are effectively getting 2 wages, one being 80% of their salary paid by the government for doing nothing. Can someone pleaae tell me its not as simple as this ?
  19. πŸ˜‚ listen to Victor Meldrew , the aisle polis . I didnt even know there was a system, I just walk any direction in Morrisons.
  20. I remember it. I can understand why you were offended if you took his words literally but no way was he being serious , I am sure you know that. Dave78 is a good poster and I am pretty certain there is mutual respect between you. Its hard to know the boundaries sometimes as people react in different ways and often on how they are feeling at the time. Still everyone at least has the right to a response if they report something and there does seem to be some blatant inconsistencies. Might have been better to just to bypass the Mods, PM Dave and sort it out. Or get yourself over to Ireland and have a pint with him in The Morgue πŸ˜‰ Yours Myra Hindley
  21. Thanks for the info Lobey, I have to say I am still a wee bit concerned as I am lazy with passwords and tend to use the same ones. I was totally distracted when I did it , felt like an idiot. I did report the email to Amazon so hopefully they can do something with it. I dont know how sophisticated these scammers are.
  22. It was YOU thplinth reported. He PM’d me to tell me . πŸ˜™
  23. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ GTF , this is exactly the type of thing Ramy would believe !
