  1. Aye I agree re: Evans mate. Mental to think he was around 180th in the world little over a year ago. His patience and quality during the longer rallies is what impressed me most. It's something that really does set the top players apart, just waiting on.their opponent making the unforced error. Not a bit of it from him though. Murray was simply sensational last night. As good as I've ever seen him play. Fastest serve of his career too.
  2. Cheers Lads. I dont want to book as we dont want to be tied to a certain day. Tbh we are prepared to be paying £100 - £120 a head by the time we factor in club hire and a buggy so anything cheaper will be a bonus. Looks like there are plenty of very good courses to choose so I'm sure we wallet something.
  3. Magic, cheers for that. Again, because it's only one round, we dont mind travelling either. Do you generally pre-book, or just sort it once you are out there?
  4. Hmmm interesting. So you can't 'choose' to finish out, even if you say it to the other player? What I mean is, it would be up to your opponent to grant you that? Another rule I've been applying wrongly for 20 years then
  5. Great, cheers for that fella. Will defenitely give it a look. What about if you had to pick one of the Oceanica ones?
  6. Fair one. I've no knowledge of the Faldo courses I just preferred the look of the Millennium, Old or Victoria. Out of the ones you mention, what one would you say really stands out? We will only be playing once.
  7. Game over, Stan leads 4-0. Unlucky for Evans, I thought he had him there. Warwinka, serving an ace, on a second serve, with the tie break at 8-8 was quite something. Fair play to him.
  8. Racism and bigotry is despised on here.....apart from when it's directed at Britain, England and No voters, so you'll be fine mate Don't think I've seen Evans play this well before. You get the feeling he needs to get it done in four though.
  9. Cheers for that mate. Did you book before you went or just wait until you were there? I take it that's the Sir Henry Cotton one you are on about? Does look cracking. Probably a bit too far to travel. The Oceanica ones are only 10 minutes from where we are staying. The Faldo one is one of theirs and isactually just called 'The Faldo Course'. Don't think I fancy it anyway.
  10. Anyone able to offer any advice on playing golf in Portugal? Going on a family holiday to Albufeira at the end of the month so me and my mate are gonna get a round one day. It's only one day so just going to take, balls, shoes, glove etc and hire clubs out there. Been told to wait until we get there before booking anything, although person that told me that couldn't really give specifics, just that he seen advertisements. We are probably going to play one of the Oceanico Courses. Had initially looked at Victoria or the Old Course but a mate of mine has said he much preferred the Millenium or Laguna. TBH all of them look excellent so don't thin we will go wrong. Anyone have experience of picking up deals whilst on holiday? Most people you speak to, it's been a proper golfing holiday they have been on so don't have much experience of club hire etc. cheers.
  11. Must admit I'm pretty underwhelmed by it, although I've seen little of Senderos the last few years to judge properly. I HAVE seen enough of Hill though.
  12. Whilst, I dont wish to inflate the, already monumental, egos of our resident Dandies, any further, I would say Aberdeen. European Final success over Real Madrid, under the best/most well known manager in modern time Football, would catch the attention of a lot of football fans. I suspect St Mirren are better know than Hibs for similar reasons........
  13. Haha that is a good one. My instant reaction, would be to say that, I am entitled to finish off, so no rule has been breached by me finishing it. However knowing how wanky we golfers can be, I'm going to guess that it is a rule breach, because I didn't declare what my intentions were?
  14. Can you not just steal it like the rest of u.....I mean, loads of people I know
  15. Ffs a golf rule and you don't know the answer.........:) Have to agree with your comments btw. Knox is unlucky, but can feel very pleased with himself, for how he has progressed. If he continues like this, there will be other Ryder Cup places there for him. As was said in previous posts, you could have made a case for 5 or 6 guys getting wildcard spots.
  16. Aye in fairness I know a couple that would accept 3Rd as being a successful season. I don't know any that think we will win it.
