Cheers to those who advised about courses in Portugal. We ended up getting a twilight deal on the Victoria. Worked out about €115 each, which included club hire, buggy and transport. We were between that and the Old Course but decided against it as it looked like it was lined with trees. Macy - Palmeras couldn't accommodate us the day we wanted to play but will defenitely be going in future. Seems it is very highly thought of out there. Well impressed with Victoria anyway. Back 9 was a real test with the amount of water on it. Some truly stunning holes.

It was defenitely before they flew out. Why would he ask them to travel if he had no intention of using them? That's the whole point of it. In Mackay's case it was confirmed by Rangers that's how it happened, which I thought was fair enough.
