  1. Some really decent performances, in a game we controlled from start to finish, but still look incredibly vulnerable at the back. Could easily have conceded 3. How the lad missed that header in the first few minutes I dont know. It would concern me less if we were scoring plenty ourselves and killing teams off with a second or third goal. Still, it was a huge improvement so got to be happy overall.
  2. Totally agree. I'm not Traynor's biggest fan but how many times do the fuds need to be told?
  3. I enjoyed Steve Paterson's book. He is at least honest, unlike a lot of the other, self indulgent Mince. Paul Merson's was much the same and well worth a look.
  4. It didn't really get ruined. Warburton was back minutes later to discuss tonight's game.
  5. That would certainly Trump us owing money to a facepainting company.
  6. Cheers to those who advised about courses in Portugal. We ended up getting a twilight deal on the Victoria. Worked out about €115 each, which included club hire, buggy and transport. We were between that and the Old Course but decided against it as it looked like it was lined with trees. Macy - Palmeras couldn't accommodate us the day we wanted to play but will defenitely be going in future. Seems it is very highly thought of out there. Well impressed with Victoria anyway. Back 9 was a real test with the amount of water on it. Some truly stunning holes.
  7. When you consider how many people associated with Celtic are tax experts, it really isn't a surprise......
  8. Ffs what are you wittering on about? This isn't about me, of course it was despicable. I never, at any time, said it wasn't. I'm chuckling that you hold Terry Butcher up to be some kind of kindred spirit on this subject, and simply pointing out that you don't have the slightest clue what you are on about. The guy is a hypocrite and a liar. The fact he stated certain things in his book doesn't change that. On the contrary, it just makes him look even more of a tube than he already did.
  9. Who mentioned other players? I said you were wrong, and I meant, about Butcher. To say he has 'never hidden his sheer disgust' is complete nonsense, to the point it's laughable.
  10. Not surprisingly, you are completely wrong, on both counts. Just stick to the 'ra peepul' and 'ranjursmeeja' quips. You are doing really really well with them.
  11. It was defenitely before they flew out. Why would he ask them to travel if he had no intention of using them? That's the whole point of it. In Mackay's case it was confirmed by Rangers that's how it happened, which I thought was fair enough.
  12. I'm not even convinced that it will sell out. I actually thought that when I was weighing up whether to renew my membership or not. Now that we have started like this I think it's even less likely. Certainly anyone that wants a ticket will get one, there will be no huge clamour imo.
  13. Surely the fair thing to do, would be to strip them of all those runners up medals......
  14. Easy to act the khunt when things are Rosey sir. As you are currently proving
  15. Erm. Aye. That's sort of the point. But then you already know that.
  16. Given the way we have set up to play (balls out wide to deliver into the box) I really can't fathom why a) Snodgrass is playing wide left and b ) our most instinctive and natural finisher is sitting on the fecking bench. We were the better side there no doubt. We should also be 3-0 down.
  17. Aye. Clearly decent enough player on the ball but the first time I seen him at this level, I immediately thought he looked out of his depth. I've never seen anything of him that changes that opinion.
  18. Aaaaaargh. 9 of our players in the feckin box there and it still falls to their lad in acres of space. We really do the basic things so so poorly.
  19. Mackay was because Strachan said he had no plans to use him. Fair enough tbh. He is fortunate to be in the Rangers team at the minute, never mind Scotland. I wonder if Robertson has had a knock? One of the better players on Saturday and Wallace was also kept in, when he is obviously third in line for that position. Barry Bannan's inclusion always baffles me.
  20. I'm not sure anyone is 'winning' here, from what I've read
  21. Isn't he suggesting Tierney coming in at LB with Robertson pushing further on? Or am I reading that wrong?
