  1. I recommend Imitation game... really enjoyed it, knew bits of the story but Benedict did a grand job... good bit of social history as well
  2. aye I agree, ( even tenth in English championship probably) but this aint about profitability its about Ashley getting his Sports Direct name shown in European football either by shirt or stadium sponsorship and what is the easiest and cheapest way to get a team into Europe...
  3. surely its easier and a lot cheaper to win the spfl and get into the European cup than it is to get into the top 4 in engerland..and ito the European cup... rangers and celtic have both done it over the last ten years,.....
  4. If the SNP don't win an overall majority in Holyrude in 2016, very possible, ( current poll lead cant be sustained) do u think there would be a Better Together alliance taking over.. ? Murphy will be desperate to be in charge. he didn't leave Westminster to sit in opposition to Nicola... So Jim with Ruth as Deputy ... a UK alliance ..
  5. although you were nt really.... Football is part of sport , but all sport is not devolved.. not all bits are devolved, as you well know..
  6. that would have been an amazing set up this season with the 3 bigger teams in first division....
  7. did u read what I said... if it is completely devolved why are we asking fot permission to have our own athletics team....
  8. I am not sure about that... if it is devolved why don't we have our own athletics team.... why cant we enter athletics competitions (except commonwealth) we had to ask the Smith commission if this was ok, ( they haven't replied) so if we had the power we would do it, don't let the press fool u into thinking we were given lots of power last month.... ps 55% with total population is around 47...
  9. PARTICK THISTLE only let HOME KIDS FANS in for free.. don't let this myth continue.... 32 quid for me and my two kids last, and only , time I was there, Will never go back. The Pictures on an Sat, is 150- 350 if you Sat am or lunch time.,.. Cinema season tix costs 15 pounds per month compare like with like. Football is overpriced and Thistle treat away fans like sh!te....
  10. sorry can u explain the %ages here please... did Inverclyde vote 35% yes in the DE sector? if so 65% voted no... please explain to a dummy like me .. ta
  11. a lot come up here to get away from the Imperial British Mindset.. I even convinced a right wing English Tory in our village to vote YES ... , of the three English guys I tried to convince I got two of them. I have around 4-5 English YES voters at my work ( out of 35 staff) and a few Billy Brit English as well.
  12. yes, also the Northern Irish vote,, people who were born in Scotland voted YES by 53%...... English YES ssers were around 27% , don't know NI number.....
  13. the last figure I read is they have 60,000 members. so I am presuming that their partners are of the same viewpoint, and I added in one off spring for half the members... maybe a bit high, but I don't think far away...
  14. ok, you are making me sound like a miserable Phukkker, but 32 quid for 1.5 hours of entertainment is not worth it for me and my kids, the pictures for example is 7.50 for the same time. soft play is 8 quid for more time, this is some of the competition. I would go most weeks for 15 quid for me and say ,max ,5 for 2 kids... There comes a point where it is TOO much.. and over 20 quid does it for me. What the clubs don't realise is the add on sales of having kids there, they eat and drink and buy shite,,,, so with proper marketing, proper merchandising they could easy get a fiver from each child and that makes it easy up to the 30 quid you state. look at what you spend at the pictures.... popcorn, juice sweets etc.. Fitba doesnae do that and cannae see that... they live in a bubble.... I repeat PRICE is a major issue.. The empty seats prove that.... Competition is needed and is healthy and so is less familiarity, playing a team once at home and once away keeps it interesting.
  15. is Japan worse than we are? I also thing politically Interest rates wont go up much, a wee bit after the election but that will be it. far too many people in 'middle england' will be hurt by an increase. I am benefiting from low interest rates, so long may they continue, I can take a bump up, but would rather not.
  16. I don't doubt that, but the Orange vote was around 150,000, mostly working class, it only needed 192000 votes to swing the other way..... so Orangeism played a massive part,
  17. I have 2 kids and for me to go to a game it is over 30 quid, so I don't go, if it was 15- 20 for me and free or a pound for kids we would go much more often so they lose out on my cash lower prices is a basic economic tool to get customers in..... plus the kids will get hooked and they will have them for the future... how can a business survive with 5- 10000 empty seats every week............... Look at how successful the Rugby is with their pricing... Pricing is the no 1 issue with football in Scotland..... They also need to improve the experience, non football bit, a lot, Football lives in a bubble..
  18. agree, Japan went through the same recession thing in the 90's and had low interest rates for around 20 years....
  19. PHUKKSAKE.... I got a fixed rate of 0.5% ABOVE base rate 7 years ago when it was 5.5%.. laughing now as I have a 1% rate,,,,
  20. bigger top league, 18 teams.... playing twice... Lower Prices ,and/ or kids free, Lower prices will bring bigger crowds, Scotland u 21's at st Mirren park 5 quid for adults 1 pound for kids, 8- 10000 were there... simples...
  21. The Working Class were also YES, although there is a large Orange working class who voted NO, obvious reasons here, but no mention of this.
  22. so you missed all the goals.... LOL, bloody weans.....
  23. They could have said they were surprised that Shite burns.......... The great thing about this is, the guy doing the burning had put his name forward to stand as the Westminster candidate , ... he wouldnae have won, but he is a big hit for himself.... suspended and then deselected in 2015 methinx..............
