  1. I went for the middle option, which was sometime between 9.30 and 10.30. My thinking was that if there's a few of us getting off that flight, and were booked with them, then they'll fill a vehicle and hit the road.
  2. I booked two on the Go Opti straight to our accommodation from that Stansted flight. We'll probably all be on same minibus or couple of cars, and hopefully get on the road quickly.
  3. I just emailed our accommodation in Ljubljana, as they offer an airport pick-up. Cost is €90 one way from Trieste airport to Ljubljana for 2-4 people. I noticed the Go Opti is a bit open on timings, but if another two want to share a transfer that'll get us straight off the flight and direct to Ljubljana, then let me know. £20-£25 each is pretty good I reckon.
  4. 2 more just booked on the Trieste flight from Stansted on Saturday night and home same route on Monday night. I've been looking at the travel options, ie Trieste, Koper or just heading to Ljubljana. We could be interested in sharing a minibus to Ljubljana if anyone has something booked. Other than that, the Go Opti shuttle looked good option.
  5. Whilst I don't disagree with the anger felt by fans on 5 points, who may miss out, where others on less points may gain; what's been overlooked in this argument is that a number (we'll never know how many) of people of 5+ points that have been asked to collect, have mysteriously had to hand the ticket back in. I appreciate that some of those handed back will have had genuine reasons for not travelling, but there are others who simply applied (harvested) with no intention of going. Now if those folk had not done that, some of the 5 pointers who are rightfully aggrieved at the moment, might have got one at the first time of asking. There's no straight forward answer to the problem, but for people complaining about fairness in a 4 pointer getting a point for going, there are undoubtedly folk on 6,7,8,9 points who are also getting a point for watching the game in their local pub.
  6. We get into Brno on Sunday 9th and are staying the night, before heading onto Bratislava on Monday. I was going to book tickets via Trainline Europe and the price was around £23. If it's definitely just 10 euros at the station, I'll hold off till then. Every pound a prisoner and aw that.
  7. Just booked... Sunday 9th GLA-STN-BRNO Stay overnight in Brno then train to Bratislava. Stay there Monday. Out to Trnava on choo choo on matchday. Stay there Tuesday. Wednesday 12th VIE-DUB-GLA Flights just over £200.

  9. Three of us going.... Wednesday 23rd Glasgow to Berlin 1355 – 1705 Train to Dresden (arrive 9pm) - Stay overnight. Saturday 26th Prague to Dublin 1535 – 1715 Saturday 26th Dublin to Glasgow 1850 – 1955 Flights, trains and 3 nights hotel = £230 ish
  10. It wouldn't be a trip without a march. Freedom Square to stadium is about 50 minutes...
  11. Never too hot for a kilt, but might be too hot for Cat boots and kilt socks. It's the era of the sandal......... FASHION POLIS ALERT... FASHION POLIS ALERT...
  12. You may be right, and it's only a handful. What I'm saying is whether it is 1 or 101, it is wrong if these guys are being moved up a waiting list, which should be first come, first served.
  13. I was 66th on the waiting list, and have 0 points. If it is true that people with higher number of points will jump the system again, then that sucks farts. If people had 3, 4, 5 points, whatever it is, then they had a window to apply. Like many others, I'm trying to get back on the points ladder, but it's increasingly difficult.
  14. Never mentioned it, but to be honest, I never asked.
  15. I phoned the SSC earlier, and they're having a meeting about the tickets this afternoon. There have been "a number of cancellations" (fancy that??), and if you're on the waiting list and are successfully allocated a ticket, they'll be in contact shortly.
  16. Personally, I'm more hyped up about this game than any in the past. A few reasons.. Most obscure destination (previously held by Macedonia) The turnaround in the team. So much positivity. God Bless WGS. Position in the group. Chance of qualification. Bring it on.
  17. I'm down to nil pwoi these days, but absolutley sure anyone going to Tbilisi will get an official ticket. No problem.
  18. A good read about Georgia here. Really looking forward to this trip. Just hope the 3 points are in the bag too. http://www.gotravelyourway.com/2013/11/12/8-reasons-to-travel-to-georgia-and-tbilisi/#.VZG9Ur1wbqD
  19. Two of us in either the Cristal Palace or the Crystal Palace (all depends on how my complaint with Expedia goes)
  20. DINGI, were you in the same hotel as me, or was it a similar experience with Expedia in different hotels. I've had to e-mail Expedia three times and phone them four times, and getting nowhere. The customer service is attrocious. I'm expecting a call back on this later today. If I get any news, I'll let you know. When did you book up though. I booked in November, they're telling me that they can't check back that far and see whether their website had the wrong address. As far as I'm concerned, the address is Javakhshvilli Street, but the website now shows Bahktrioni Street (something like that anyway).
  21. We get into Dublin around midnight, and looks like most pubs are shut by then. Might need to have an early night, or alternatively.......
  22. I booked my hotel through Expedia back in November, and a mate asked me this week, what hotel I was in and where it was exactly. When I checked my hotel address on Expedia, it seems to have moved about 3 miles. A quick e-mail to Tbilisi tourist board, and they've confirmed that there are hotels with very similar names (Crystal Palace and Cristal Palace), so it looks like I'm getting moved from one to the other and they hope I won't notice. They're still in a reasonable location, but this still fels funny. Looks like we're being played here, and there's not too many hotel rooms available..... kerrrcchhing!!!!
  23. Two of us booked up yesterday.. Thurs 3rd - Edinburgh - Istanbul, then onto Tbilisi for 3 nights. Sun 6th - Tbilisi - Istanbul (overnight stop - hotel near airport, but hope to get to Turkey v Holland game) Mon 7th - back to Edinburgh £425 all in.
