  1. Should also take the 'X' out of 'XL'.....that's what I'm banking on anyway!
  2. John McGinn, captain of 21's and stand out player for both the national team and for Hibs. Yet to see him look anywhere near out of his depth in a match - although Hibs have only played half a dozen matches outwith the Championship. Clearly his time will come - not concerned whether or not he is fast tracked now. If he is improving the team - then that is another thing. Good to see Darren Fletcher back enjoying football and playing well.
  3. Oh....you mean the top??! Sorry - not got mines yet but faintly remember it is red. A bit slow there!
  4. All sorted now!! Maybe something to do with the renewal process being online and accessed through the very same log-in route as you would normally use - but original membership numbers AND POINTS retained!! Relieved is an understatement! My penalty of course was the extra £5 (or tenner compared to early bird offer). It would have been heart-breaking! Just scrolling down the list of previous purchases amounts to a fair few quid and adding in travel/hotels comes to tens of thousands. I have never been one to criticise the team in the SSC (quite the opposite) and actually have liked meeting them at the odd ticket pick-up but to go back to zero due to missing a deadline by a couple of days would have been hard to take. Sorry for doubting any of your posts but I had seen conflicting info and was (obviously) a bit anxious! Here's to the next trip!
  5. The 42 minute trains are French TGV's. There are also regular regional trains that you can just pay on the day......these take around an hour so slightly slower but are only around a tenner single. Google Luxembourg rail for times.
  6. Just not the definitive answer to the question. SSC tweeted someone already saying he would KEEP his point. That was a Tweet from 3rd March.
  7. I hope your aware that you'll have lost any away points which were accrued and will start again at zero? I've just found deadline date at the bottom of email relating to specific away games - a separate email would have been nice - or urgent reminder. I had it in my head that it was 8th as this was a month after (extended) early bird offer. I have done it now and hope extra fiver is my penalty! I was really worried about losing points, but just found a tweet and answer from the 3rd March asking SSC the very same and they replied you will keep your point! We have 6 points x 2 so is a biggie! Hope there is no difference in their treatment between 3rd March and 5th March! Incidentally, I was able to log-in and buy membership using my normal log-in credentials.....so hopefully all ok. Do you have definitive proof that I would lose all points......I'm not doubting you but keen to know and at the same time not sure SSC tweet is definitive!!
  8. I didn't take advantage of the early bird offer but can't for the life of me find a deadline date for renewal!! Appreciate it if someone could let me know or point me in right direction. The FAQ section on the supporters pages in SFA website mentions ''after this period' (being the early bird deadline......but no end date! #aweebitanxious!
  9. Hey Letherby Your probably sorted and I am replying a bit late in the day but you can get direct train from CDG to Metz. It does include a bus from Lorraine, but it is not too much dearer and probably works out cheaper (and quicker) than waiting for train to Paris Nord etc. There seems to be one around an hour after your flight lands - 1 hr 10 mins train to Lorraine, then 30 minute bus journey to Metz - all included on one ticket. Should get you there at 2:40'ish. Probably time for a beer before the train.....you will certainly get one on the train. Looking like around 39 euros single just now - not sure about returns, but then you will have more time and could consider the Metz - Paris Est - CDG option for this. Bon voyage!
  10. Hey Zander Looks like you're already on top of this judging by the revised waiting list but just to confirm that I got a seat on Watershed's coach.....so please remove me if not already done so. Thanks again!! Rik
  11. 2 seats on bus two reserved for you Thanks Watershed!
  12. Two seats needed......Like Dundee Dave was - I am also on Zander's waiting list so if I get seats with you then will remove from that list. ScotsRik x 2
  13. Just received email to say unsuccessful for match in Marseille on 30th June (Quarter Final). It's the only game applied for and the only game I can get to.......needless to say, if anyone has tickets f(x 2) or this one and end up not being able to go.....please give me a shout!
  14. 4.50 euros return from bus terminal 5pm every 30 mins. Just seen a leaflet for this. Beer cheap as chips!
  15. The SFA are bringing our tickets to Portugal with them.
  16. Didn't think the Faro had rooms available.......also thought it was dearer than £52/night??
  17. To be fair - the tweet Deecie refers to didn't really give a timeframe - I called today and they were HOPING to get them sent out today or tomorrow. I would suggest anyone leaving this weekend (like the guys you know) phone SSC and opt for ticket collection.
  18. SSC haven't received tickets yet....apparently expecting to receive them tomorrow and will start procesing immediately. They have sold 'just under' 8,000 tickets, so could take them a wee while! As bonzo said, you would get an email if you were selected to pick up - not sure if that would have been done by now or after they have received the tickets, but there would be a few opportunities to pick up wherever you were staying.
  19. Any news on when SSC tickets being sent out? Took a chance this time and didn't choose special delivery.
  20. I heard the commentator saying that he and Brown were great holding midfielders and knew their role like the backs of their hands and was thinking the same. Surely James Morrison is an attacking midfielder who can shoot, score goals and get involved in attacking play??
  21. Glad you agree - this was a game I was anxious about a year ago.The disappointment factor all to familiar! In terms of performance level going downhill, you could probably say the same just about tonight's 90 minutes too - not just the campaign. Why did we stop pressing the ball and let the Georgians play there way comfortably up the pitch? Far better than Scotland were managing after about 25 minutes. When Hutton and others looked for a pass and there was nothing on, they had to go backwards. Brown pretty much did this anyway to save time! No more Robertson/Hutton going down the wings, no more high line and keeping the ball at the back on the half way line. I hate it when we don't press - do you thnk they were told to press for just 15/20 minutes or told to stop at some point......or ran out of steam in the heat?? I'm probably not qualified to see where it went wrong and maybe didn't recognise the genius tactical switch that the Georgians made??
  22. It does when I said 'apart from'.......also - they actually played much better tonight in defeat than they did winning in Warsaw. Germany had one of those nights - I think it was 30 shots for the Germans and 6 for Poland......or close to that. Watch Poland's second half in Ireland too - they are clearly capable of slick attacks, but can be pretty woeful too.....sound familiar? They DO have a Lewandowski though! They kept it 0-0 in Georgia then scored first in the second half - I think in that position maybe even an average Scotland would have taken care of business. That one goal tonight.....one lapse killed it for us. They haven't really done 'anything wonderful' which was what I replied too......of course, we the fans would take it and think beating the world champs was wonderful even if it was a backs to the wall win......let's hope!
  23. Neither have Poland - apart from taking care of the second bottom seeds away from home (Georgia) quite comfortably. Other than that they beat Germany at home......but they were absolutely battered and it was just one of those games for the Germans. In comparison, all Scotland have done that is any worse is lose away to Georgia on a stiflingly hot evening and let themselves down in one game.
