  1. If Pedro Caixinha honestly got the chance to pick any Saint to turn out for the Huns in Daniel Candeias's place I believe he'd turn the offer down.
  2. It's not a case of whether he's good enough. Rangers and Celtic are expected to win every game. Some very good players aren't able to succeed in that environment. Your man didn't do enough to prove that he could.
  3. Again, solid stuff. It's why I said what I said on another thread. I think most people had/have an idea of who most of the mods and admin are and I think I've met quite a few of you. It's easy to see why the board was run in what I think was a business like way. People that had different strengths, good communication skills, technical skills, a sense of fairness, completer finishers. Diverse skills and an appreciation of the part each other had in the running of the place. It's what every successful business has. This is why I'm surprised at how it's seemingly ending. Surely the team can still see that the board is still of great benefit and interest to many Scotland fans, if not them. It might not be financially viable and their interests may now lie elsewhere but... ... Where's the succession planning? All good business have succession plans in place. @Flure Where's the succession planning? Why no earlier communication about the financial problems? Why no requests for new mods and admin? Apologies if there were and I've missed them. I hope for the people that will miss this place that there's a team as thick skinned, talented and committed able to take over.
  4. I've missed you FE For what it's worth, I agree with you.
  5. I'll be sad too if this place closes. I mainly came on initially to get travel information and find out where people were meeting at away games but quickly found it a humorous, lively, colourful and diverse place to be. Flure, Mario, Flat Earth, Parklife, Pistonwibble, Cove, Chaff, Thplinth, Scunnered, Wolfy, Orraloon, G-Man, Donny, Reeky, Bzzz, Rossy, GlasgowUddy Jon. Just a small selection of the people who's posts I'd enjoy reading. Some of them really prolific too which naturally helps keep a board alive. Where did it go wrong? Probably different reasons for different people. I'm sure some people don't think it has gone wrong. For me it was the whole Rangers thing. Funny for a short while but then it seemed to me that the same 2 or 3 conversations would be repeated again and again. Round and round in circles. The same conversation. I went from interacting with the board 6 times a day to scanning it maybe once a week. I never posted much so I can't complain. A message board needs posters. I think the mods and admin did a good job and I thank them for the amount of time they undoubtably put in despite some of the nonsense they had to put up with. I hope the board somehow continues but it will need their support.
  6. You're new to this board aren't you? Either that or a cockwalloper has made a right twat of you.
  7. When I wrote my post I was thinking who's going to be the numpty who thinks I'm being serious... iainmac1 is the winner. Did you no see the reference to TartanJon at the bottom? You've been on the board long enough to remember him. Mind you, I'd rather sing a whole Rick Astley album than some of the shite posted on here!

  9. I hope Rooney plays for England against us. We can see who can boo our own players the loudest.
  10. Good to see you back. Loving your work. You are my best friend, my soul mate, my rock. We go again.
  11. He talks to Parkie here about the Hull lads from Yorkshire! (35:30 in)
  12. I mind the days when record shops had little booths where you could listen to something before you bought it. Albums were expensive so it was something I'd always try to do except with a Bowie release. I'd buy it regardless then spend the rest of the week in my room playing it over and over. Good days. I can't get away from the obvious Hunky Dory and the Berlin trilogy but there's so much there. Young Americans, plastic soul? Not with Luther involved surely.
  13. King shouldn't have sacked him, he should have resigned. Let's be fair, the tweet wasn't sent when he was employed by Rangers and unless they in some way support this clown, they shouldn't be see as 'the Charlie Hebdo of Football clubs'. I agree though, the more publicity this is given... I don't think anybody wants that. Do they?
  14. Rangers ask Walter Smith to take over the team until the end of the season. Little to no pay but a bonus if they go up. If they go up, try to get McInnes in.
  15. Thanks Dillinger. Was beginning to think the staff at Richer Sounds knew more than the TAMB for a while there. What's the zoom like on it? Most seem to project larger than I need from the distance I'll be using with very little adjustment. Also, I've been told that DLP is better for films and games than LCD. Any more advice?
  16. Anybody know anything about home cinema projectors? The stores I've been in have been rubbish. I'm looking to put a home cinema projector into the spare room for the kids. Already got a PS3 and iMac in there so if I hook up some speakers and an amp I'm ready to go. They'll use it for watching films and gaming so decent quality needed but I don't want to spent a fortune. Maybe £500. My problem is I've got to sit the projector 12ft (3.6m) away from the wall but I've only got a max screen width of 60" (155cm). Most projectors project a bigger screen size from that distance so I'm looking for one with a decent zoom but that still retains the quality. Grateful for any advice given. Cheers.
  17. This album sold by the bucket load. Good album but no doubt the cover (great concept) helped with the sales. I read somewhere that the whipped cream kept melting so they ended up using shaving foam.
  18. I worked on the Boddingtons Cream of Manchester campaign with her. She was/is a lovely lady. No side to her at all.
  19. Interesting for a while but the repetitiveness of these threads has bored me. Bored off the board so to speak. Now I'm not saying that I personally think this but... If folk were honest, I mean really honest, would they say that Celtic are the one and only team that are suffering without Rangers?
