  1. Turns out you can pick your seat, got one in row Z, section 40.
  2. Prague route map by the way, for anyone interested: http://www.runczech.com/file/edee/2015/maps/fm/fm2015.pdf Good course, and they kept it central pretty well - plenty of bridge crossings too. I'm not a big fan of 'out and back' sections of races though. Glad I did it despite not enjoying it as much as other races I've done.
  3. Yeah, basically he wakes up in 2011 Berlin but he is the same physically and mentally as if it were still 1945, written in the first person as Hitler as well which adds to the humour too I think.
  4. Currently reading Look who's back. Quite an amusing read and sometimes a bit "no holds barred" satire on the taboo subject of Hitler - I'm certainly enjoying it so far.
  5. Congratulations Stuart, cracking final.
  6. Entered the London ballot too. The way my legs are aching today im not sure they think its a good idea though.
  7. Found prague a bit of a struggle today, finished in 4:01:27 despite hitting the wall going into the last 10k. Not sure I like km markers rather than mile markers in a marathon either.
  8. Might be of use, the Garmin Forerunner 610 (with HR monitor) is on the Amazon lightning deals today at 6PM, it's currently at £149.99, so on the deal maybe £130, £120. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Garmin-Forerunner-Running-Watch-Monitor/dp/B0050HKOXQ/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
  9. Peanut butter works better on toast I reckon, let it melt a bit. Though wouldn't turn down a PB sandwich either.
  10. I noticed that too, does that mean that the previous 1 in 7 chance of getting a place is going to be even slimmer? It's a bonus, though, for the folks running Belfast Marathon on BH Monday, as they can enter the ballot.
  11. That's a fantastic time, well done him. I'll be entering the ballot when it opens next Monday, fresh from running Prague on Sunday.
  12. Got a cracking sandwich with me at work today. Pastrami, pulled pork and wild boar salami in sunflower seed and honey bread.
  13. Glen Garioch founders reserve on Amazon lightning deal at 6 o clock, could be worth a purchase depending on how good the deal is: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00JZJPM64/ref=gb1h_img_c-2_8707_178d6801?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_t=701&pf_rd_s=center-new-2&pf_rd_r=0PDEEYYVCSNKSBNJ110F&pf_rd_i=20&pf_rd_p=577138707
  14. Would imagine so, the fixtures are already here: http://www.uefa.com/MultimediaFiles/Download/competitions/General/02/09/59/58/2095958_DOWNLOAD.pdf Just need some teams in the groups.
  15. Could also promote that tedious standing around the corner flag shielding the ball timewasting tactic then though.
  16. Origin's good, you may want to try Elixir if you haven't already - quite a nice one. I'm not a fan of Superstition, the peaty taste of it seems a bit synthetic to me.
  17. In a similar vein to the referendum though, it seems the leaders are panicking and grasping at straws closer to the date when things start getting real - this time though, they're not all fighting for the same cause.
  18. Anyone tried the Mackmyra Swedish whiskies? Quite intrigued and may be tempted if the price is right, this one is on Amazon deals at 6pm: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00IXL8F46/ref=gb1h_img_c-2_8707_d9dd6746?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_t=701&pf_rd_s=center-new-2&pf_rd_r=1X0FF7RBBYCJDKGXA0YA&pf_rd_i=20&pf_rd_p=577138707
  19. York Outer - currently a Tory seat and looking like staying that way, only competition really coming from Lib Dems. Stupid constituency though to be honest, a donut shape that surrounds the York Central (Labour) one. Reckon I'll vote Greens though myself, for me it's between them and Labour in my area.
  20. Up & running shops offer the same sort of analysis service, as will selected asics shops, though the latter will only give you the option of their own brand of shoe (though I run in asics and love them).
  21. I actually prefer getting a run in before work if I can - I find running more enjoyable/easier even in the morning than later on - also helpful because most races are in the AM too. Good going today by the way, Cove, looking well on track for Edinburgh.

    York

Star Inn The City's supposedly a good place for food, nicely located near the river.
  23. November 2007, Scotland 1-2 Italy, was 21, living in Sheffield at the time, managed to buy a ticket from someone. Had no idea the atmosphere would be anything like that, what a first game to go to - in spite of the result and that decision, got my SSC membership in time for the next campaign.
