Don't know if they still do it, but Inveralmond's Homecoming Scotland ale is lovely. I'm also quite partial to Brewdog's Hardcore IPA, under it's cheaper guise of Tesco Finest American Double IPA.
Theakston's Distiller's Cask is also a very good shout: "Theakston's finest Masham ale, warmly acquainted with the flavours of Speyside malt whisky."
Not sure if they're technically craft beers, but well worth a try.
One stat which is particularly good going into the remaining games, is that we've scored in each of our qualifiers so far. If we can keep that going, and be solid defensively, then we're laughing.
Heat is one of the worst things. Sun was bearing down for most of the Prague marathon this year, I was so ill after I'd crossed the finish line. New PB though, seems as though post-Edinburgh recovery is going well.
Did a couple of 10k runs on holiday in N. Cyprus, an easier one out towards the coast and back and a much tougher one out towards the Kyrenia mountain range and back. Both were very rewarding and the heat conditions along with the undulating hills should make the 'home' races seem easier.
I'd already planned a trip up to see my mate in Glasgow this weekend, a journey which always goes via Edinburgh. It was only because that and the fixture date coincided that I decided to go.
Just come back from a 6+ hour flight from North Cyprus, on a cramped 737-400, legroom was bad as it was, thankfully the person in front didn't recline - didn't see many passengers reclining at all to be fair.
Seems to be the case with a lot of currencies compared to the pound. Was getting close to 40 CZK for Prague last month, compared to the sub-30 it was when we played the 4-6-0 there. Turkish Lira for my next holiday is looking good too, over 4 to the £ if I change it out there.
not quite as bad as the increasingly common 'seat for their bag' approach so many people seem to think they're entitled to.
Edit: I see I'm not alone with this one
or factor it into the weight allowance of the baggage, it all contributes to the load on the aircraft. If I weigh less than them, give me more allowance for my luggage than they have
I got mine made by John Morrison kiltmakers, based in Edinburgh: 63 High Street, Edinburgh, Old Town EH1 1SR
Was a complete custom job, as it wasn't a common tartan (Kirk) and the end result was very, very nice.
if there's an empty seat behind me, I recline. If there's someone there, I'll ask if they mind me reclining. It's not as if the seats go all that far back anyway so it's not going to bother me if I'm not reclining.
