  1. But why should the focus only be on footballers have to give money to the NHS and not the other millionaires throughout the country? They're an easy target because they are in the main, young and working class. Footballers are not the problem here and it seems indicative of this country as a whole that they are taking slack, including from the Health Secretary himself demanding that they play their part for something which is entirely out with their control.
  2. There's a couple of things here, why are you specifically targeting footballers? There are plenty of well of individuals and companies who should be incurring the wrath of the public before we even get to footballers. Like Tube Drivers, they are that rare breed of mainly working class individual that are paid well and have excellent union representation and people just cannot seem to accept that. Your beef should be with the owners of the club's, not the footballers. As for Liverpool, it is a myth that they are this socialist and community club. Their support is riddled with Northern Irish loyalists, they defended racism until blue in the face and ask the people that they forced from their homes in Anfield whether they're a community club. They are just another shell that farts money and has been slowly removed from the community that started it.
  3. A smoke with a beer is one of life's great pleasures.
  4. YOu are allowed to visit parks that are within reasonable walking distance of your home. In Glasgow alone there is Queens Park, Linn Park, Kelvingrove, Rouken Glen, Victoria Park, Pollok Park and plenty others that will be local to a number of people, you can't stop individuals walking to these places for a stroll. The issue is what we saw at the weekend with plenty of people getting in their cars and travelling to Strathclyde Park, that then becomes a problem.
  5. He's getting support from his pals in the media but the reality is he and his government have handled this whole thing horrendously. We're still no closer to finding out when staff ill have the right equipment to try and tackle this virus. A mate of mine works in The Royal and told me that he is petrified going into work everyday because they are not protected, thats the reality. I also wonder what will happen with the NHS once this is all over as i suspect a lot of NHS staff will chuck it after this.
  6. I don't think there is as big a gap but i think him and Messi are the best ever by some distance.
  7. A lot of patronising shite, no doubt plenty of clappers who's vote at the ballot box goes to parties that don't give a shit about the NHS.
  8. The very same thing crossed my mind as well. I haven't owned a console for about 8 years. The final Straw was LA Noir and after sifting through another murder scene I decided modern games were too detailed but I'm starting to think otherwise again.
  9. There will be plenty of clubs all over the world that will be in trouble. Barcelona are reportedly looking at asking players to take a 70 percent pay cut, so no one will be exempt.
  10. To be fair, it's a quote from her mother and her aunt on social media, I'll wait until a medical professional confirms that someone has died without any pre existing medical conditions before panicking.
  11. The other issue which was completely inconspicuous by it's absence last night was the issue of NHS staff and the lack of protective gear available to staff. This is an absolute scandal and we are not providing those on the front line with the bst chance to defeat this virus, that is unforgivable.
  12. Rail services being nationalised for a period.
  13. The problem we've got here and why no one listened over the weekend is that the Governments and specifically Boris Johnsons message is full of ambiguity. The reason that they and particularly he is so hesitant to close everything down is because he is so aware of legacy and history. In years to come when people analyse this crisis he doesn't want to be remembered as the PM that shut Britain down and removed peoples basic freedoms, it's utterly selfish but that is who he is as a man.
  14. I said the same to my wife yesterday, again only half joking.
  15. Jesus, just another example of how quickly utter bollocks is spread throughout what's app groups and the likes.
  16. I'm no expert but as I understand it Golden Eagles don't cut about the southside of Glasgow.
  17. I went to see in the GFT in the summer and watched it again last night, it's an incredible movie.
  18. Seen two Buzzards this morning hovering above the gaff. I've been hearing them for months but never seen them and then this morning there were a huge amount of crows going mental with a couple of buzzards just scoping things out above.
  19. Are we in anyway likely to gain an advantage at combating this as its peak comes in the warmer months?
  20. I had to go to the Pharmacy to pick up some medicine for our new born kid and couldn't believe the amount of gaffs that were still open. Few coffee shops as well with people sitting in as well, utter madness.
  21. It's the least they could do and let's be honest, they're systematic dismantling and under funding of the NHS in the last 10 years is about to come home to roost in the next few months. The NHS can barely cope with normal winter pressures for fuck sake, the next few months are going to be on a scale we could never have imagined.
  22. How quickly were they out the traps to announce the exact same? Completely incapable of independent thought.
