  1. Well all I can say is you do not vote (I am presuming) then you do not have the right to complain.
  2. And the Tories? Winston Churchill and genocide against the Indians and the Irish. The future king who met Hitler and was a known Nazi sympathiser. Ted Heath and his multiple child sex offences brushed under the carpet. So can the Tories fuck right off too Rohan?
  3. As long as we increase seat share then it is one in the eye for unionists who are peeing their pants believing 2017 was some sort of a trend that will continue in December.
  4. Note how she uses terms like 'we'. Sorry but this fruitloop speaks for herself only not the whole of Scotland. Somebody should ask her why the SNP have been the biggest party in Scotland for the last few years and that won't be changing anytime soon.
  5. Sadly, it looks all too likely now that the Tories will win a majority as polls continue to put them 10% (or more) clear in all polls so far. I put that down to people obsessed with this 'getting Brexit done' crap. The Tories are the only ones portraying themselves as pro-Brexit and the Brexiteers will leap onto that bandwagon and to hell with the rest of their plans. If I lived down in England I'd be voting Labour as at least they are taking a more balanced view on Brexit and stuff like re-nationalisation of companies I support. Where does a Tory majority government leave independence? Up shit creek considering the current Tory government will never grant another Indyref on their watch. Even if the SNP did the impossible and win a clean sweep of seats at the election the Tories would not grant one. Unless the SNP get hard and take legal action to get an IndyRef then I would say we are stuck in this union until we have a new government or new Tory PM who is more giving. The only thing that it will benefit the SNP with is perhaps a strengthening of support for independence in polls with constant refusals from Westminster. If the unexpected happens and Labour wins a majority what happens with regards independence? Well Corbyn is certainly refusing to say he'd never allow an IndyRef2. He keeps going back to the Scottish Election in 2021 so it is quite possible if the SNP win enough seats there it will be taken as a mandate and he'd grant IndyRef2. I see that as the best case scenario at present. If there is a hung parliament and Labour wants the SNP support to form a government then what? I'd say Corbyn would not grant an immediate IndyRef2. He may very well hold strong on his 2021 stance and the SNP may back him in that case.
  6. Those saying SHOULD we reach the final we have no chance well just recently Norway and Serbia have struggled to beat lesser teams than us:- Serbia 3 Luxembourg 2 Lithuania 0 Serbia 1 Malta 1 Norway 2
  7. If we reach the final I'd say we have a better chance against Norway. For fans though who want greater amount of tickets available then Serbia offer that. Their national stadium holds a fraction over 55,000 whereas Norway's Ulleval Stadium holds just over 28,000.
  8. First things first - we couldn't have hoped for a better semi-final draw at home to Israel . Get that job done and another injection of confidence going into the play-off final. I'd feel more confident about us getting through against Norway more than Serbia but will cross that bridge when we get to it. At the very least we still have a vested interest in the tournament AFTER the main draw has been made next week.
  9. https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuro-2020/draws/ On live now.
  10. They aren't in the same league as the likes of Belgium and Russia though. Reasons for hope? Well in this campaign in the Euro Qualifiers they had this far from inspiring result:- Malta 1 Norway 2 In the 2018 World Cup qualifiers they had from inspiring results such as: Azerbaijan 1 Norway 0 Northern Ireland 2 Norway 0
  11. It was pure winding up for me. That is what he was doing. I mean 0.002% chance of qualifying? We will be playing teams no better than us (or perhaps) even worse in tge semis. If we reach the final it is a one game shoot-out against teams slightly better than us. If Luxembourg and Malta can run them close then we cannot be ruled out.
  12. There is always reason for optimism somewhere. Malta 1 Norway 2. I know we have fallen far but I would certainly say we are better than Malta.
  13. Even rankings do not ordain what a result will be in an international football match. I would hazard a guess that during every round of Euro Qualifiers a lesser ranked team has beaten a higher ranked team.
  14. But you never explained away them labouring to a 2-1 win against Malta? I could run through tonnes of matches in international football where supposed stronger teams have struggled against lesser teams or sometimes have even drawn or lost. That is evidence in itself that Scotland has far more than the chances Dark Knight is giving us. Do not get me wrong I think we will probably just miss out in the final but Dark Knight is very clearly on the wind-up with his so called 0.0002% chance.
  15. As for Norway they are only ranked ten places above us. In their group they fsiled to beat Romania twice and laboured to a 2-1 win against the might of Malta. So if Malta can almost get a result against them then Scotland are in with a chance too.
  16. Lets remember Serbia laboured to wins against teams lower ranked than us and worse than us. Only beating Luxembourg 3-2 at home and winning 2-1 away to Lithuania who earned one point throughout the campaign. That only points out that they can be pushed hard by even lesser nations than us.
  17. Hmm well in the Spain instance it would seem that is just another piece of evidence that countries in the EU are independent. It is Spain and Spain alone who have jailed the Catalonia independence movement for 'sedition' and Fanny Adams to do with the EU. The EU's inaction is just another piece of evidence to prove they are not a dictatorship and do not weigh in and try to order countries in the EU how to run their own internal affairs.
  18. Lets remember that Palmer has been pulling on Scotland shirts for eight years now.
  19. But that's the point. Where does he fit into the side? The most logical slot is right-back but for me that just does not work.
  20. Okay but he is not lambasted for non-Scottishness is he?
  21. Okay so where does Tierney play in a side containing Robertson? And where has he played in previous Scotland matches with Robertson in the same team?
  22. You do realise that in order to fit both Robertson and Tierney into the same starting line-up it means right-back for Tierney? Unless Clarke finds another solution.
  23. Well he was, like Palmer, born in England. the point here is about commitment. Being born in Scotland does not automatically mean he is more committed to playing for Scotland. Look at those that have retired way before their time or who chose not to make themselves available for us and a lot of them in recent times have been those born in Scotland.
  24. Ironically, Palmer being attacked for his Englishness was only playing because a player born and brought up in Scotland (Kieran Tierney) couldn't be arsed.
  25. And did you throw a paddy when Morrison scored against England?
