  1. So too many clean sheets negates him from being Scotland's number one? Who would you have in goal then? Who passes your clean sheets test?
  2. He's first choice on the basis of his current form, though. Which is what I'm judging him on.
  3. No worries - been travelling back from Glasgow yesterday and today, so wasn't up to speed with the fallout. It was a genuine question in the wake of that utterly bizarre yellow card.
  4. BB King at the Pavilion on the Saturday night that McAvennie, Butcher, Woods and whoever else had their set-to at Ibrox in 1987. Some tosser threw an ex-club scarf on to the stage. BB picks it up and proceeds to wonder why he got booed for the rest of the solo to 'The Thrill is Gone'. Said scarf got ditched pronto at the end of the number.
  5. OK - I'll bite, and this is not aimed at you specifically Paulo, but to all who have contributed. Leaving aside club stuff, please highlight Craig Gordon's 'clangers' for Scotland?
  6. Pity you stopped reading - you might have been able to add something to the debate.
  7. The second goal was Stuart Armstrong's responsibility, pure and simple. Make the pass or boot the ball into the corner flag and we win that game. No keeper on earth should come for a cross unless he is certain of making it, and there is no evidence that says Craig Gordon made a wrong decision not coming for Sterling's cross. The angle from the North Stand showed that he absolutely made the correct decision not coming for it. What hasn't been acknowledged too much is that it was a damn good finish from Harry Kane. The jammy barsteward.
  8. Y I agree the first England goal was a disgrace. But that was fundamentally due to Keiran Tierney's idiotic hesitation on the pass back. No throw-in = no attempt on goal from them. If you want to cast blame then start at the root of the problem and not the culmination. Keiran Tierney gifted them that shot on goal.
  9. They do - twice a week. But their connections to/from those flights to Scotland make them a non-starter.
  10. Craig Gordon is Scotland's number one by a country mile and for a reason, although McGregor and Marshall are highly able alternatives. That cannot be questioned. Craig is also a major reason why we beat France twice in 2007. Can't remember any Scotland goalkeeping performances since then that come close, although happy to be proved wrong.
  11. Sorry for the late response Adam, just back from ten days in Glasgow during which I've been offline. Yes, the Mladost game will be played at the national stadium on Thursday. As an aside, the Partizan game is the first time a Serbian club has played in Montenegro since independence in 2005, so that makes Wednesday's game even more tasty.
  12. Tivat is fine but my choice would be Kotor. It's a beautiful ancient town and the bay is stunning.
  13. Just spent the afternoon with a family from Glasgow, who are having a great time in Budva and who took time out to come up to Podgorica. Currently there are so few flights from the UK. I believe Easyjet Manchester - Tivat is the only regular flight. Montenegro is a great place. Love being here.
  14. Great question mate, and no problem with you asking it. Facts are that I work for one of the European institutions, and after 7 years in Albania, I've been 2 in Montenegro. Brexit and Mrs May will ensure my early retirement though, as the Vienna convention states that non EU nationals cannot hold Diplomatic posts if they are non EU members. Ask away if you need more.
  15. Wonder if Rossy thinks that was worse than the Celtic's result in Gibraltar last year.
  16. Here you go. Petrovac is on the coast between Bar and Budva, so that would probably be your best option if you are around on the 23rd September. Round 8 23.09. 17:00 Buducnost KOM 23.09. 17:00 Decic Sutjeska 23.09. 17:00 Grbalj Zeta 23.09. 17:00 OFK Petrovac Mladost Podgorica 23.09. 17:00 Rudar Iskra Round 9 30.09. 17:00 Iskra Decic 30.09. 17:00 KOM OFK Petrovac 30.09. 17:00 Mladost Podgorica Grbalj 30.09. 17:00 Sutjeska Buducnost 30.09. 17:00 Zeta Rudar
  17. More great stuff from Archie - Niall Keown commits to the Jags for the next two years.
  18. Local fixtures for the new season still to be announced - I'll keep my eye on it and let you know once they are out.
  19. You'll be absolutely fine, have no fear. It'll be cooler than high season (25 or so, today is 36 and too sticky to think), but still lots of sun. There's plenty to do and see on the coastline (Kotor, Porto Montenegro, Budva and Bar), with Podgorica and Kolasin easily rechable inland. There will still be a fair amount of tourists about then even though you'll be in the last few minutes of the traditional holiday season.
  20. In theory it should be easy to get tickets on the night. I'll be going along myself if you fancy meeting up for it. I'm expecting a full local derby atmosphere (think Sevco v Newcastle) with lots of cops around as the Partizan fans have previous for misbehaviour. Also the political scene between Montenegro and Serbia is a little tense just now after the election last year, so it could be tasty.
