  1. i think it will be 3-1 to them. BUT there is a wee niggle in the back of my head that is telling me we will sneak this 2-1. I don't know if this is just me hanging onto something to make me go to the game or you just never know. i just think we can raise our game but think they are crap and they can't do any better than there last 2 games.
  2. i like the look of this team except i would play McArthur instead of Naismith. I think GS will go with Marshall Paterson Hanley Martin and Anya MIDFIELD Forrest Brown Fletcher McArthur Ritchie and Fletcher up top.
  3. We need to play the likes of Burke Forrest or Anya. It will give us pace for the counter attack and it will stop them coming forward in numbers as they know we can counter attack. going with such a negative formation like we did in the last game will make an almost impossible mission, totally mission impossible. GS needs to sort things out and go at teams as we are that bad at the back we couldn't defend against an under 10 team let alone part timers or even a team where most of there players play in the top tier. the injuries are not helping us 1 bit. Trying to find some positives for this game and it is just getting harder by the day. Not like a normal big game where I usually start to get up for it from about 2 weeks before. Working in England with guys that go to there games all the time they have been going on about this game for weeks and all I can think is I wish we can come off the pitch with are heads held high.

    Park RUN

Parklife most people are there to get there own times and as the clock starts for everyone at the same time people who do 15 or 25 mins want to get on with there run. They don't go to the front to get in the way all they want is to start at the start time. On your Attitude when you post the things on here that you post (i don't know you outside of here). it maybe a harsh way to look at it.

    Park RUN

Sorry for the delayed reply. Would just like to thank the guys for there help and the information you gave. i did the Victoria park run and got a new PB by 8 seconds doesn't sound a lot but I think it is good. i also met some lovely people and the next time I'm up we plan to meet up. Had a great start to the day sadly the paid sportsman couldn't match this. Parklife you want to try enjoying life and stop thinking everybody has the same attitude as you. Some of us do things to have fun and we are happy with our simple lives. Pool Q got it spot on. again thanks for the help.
  6. I listened to Charlie Nicolas and I think he hit the nail on the head when he said GS should play to our strengths and play players in there best positions. When GS took over he did this and we played some good football we got at teams and scored goals we closed teams down and started defending in there half. I thought we had the right man for the job. Since the ROI game at home when GS thought we might make it to France he has started playing to the other teams strengths playing far to deep and given them far to much time on the ball. He would rather draw than get beat even at home to poor teams. They then grow in confidence and instead of us being on top we are then on the back foot. GS has to go if he can't go back to how he started and I don't think he will. I have changed my mind as looking back over the last 5-7 games and forgetting the early games I just don't think he can change back. Looking at the CB pairing we all know they are not good enough and we know we don't have a lot of choice but to just stick with them and not try anything different is madness. The team he played on Tuesday was to get a draw ( but how do you play for a draw ) GS words. That team was there for the taken if we had got at them and played the right players they would have crumbled but we didn't and we never even tried. Just look at the last 20 mins on Saturday when we do try. we have been through a lot over the past 20 years but I still believe this is the best squad we have had in that time and if we play are best players in the right positions and go at teams we still have a chance.
  7. as usual there is not a lot to do with kids before the game. i am taking my boy to his first game and have got tickets to the Ferry gig. i know there will be a lot of people getting drunk but i hope he will enjoy the atmosphere and have a great day.

    Park RUN

i think i will do the Victoria Park run nothing to hard as it will be a long day. Do you know what time it starts at? nothing on the website and the Tollcross starts at 9.30 not 9.00 like most do. Thanks again for the help guys. Brian
  9. who said we are going to get a chance to hear it? got to score first.
  10. well i'm taking my boy to his first game and so is my mate so that will put it back up to 38,939.
  11. i don't know what game you watch when we played Malta. You say you are positive?? We created a lot of chances in the first half and missed 2 almost sitters but all you can mention is they had 2 chances and they should have been 2-1 up?? The last campaign you say we through it away after the 1-1 draw in Ireland. What about all the games before that that got us in that position in the first place. i forgot you are positive but you don't mention any of the positive points. we all know Georgia was a shambles but that is what we do most campaigns. i still don't think we can qualifie but i think we are getting a lot better and most of the players will be around for a few years.
  12. You ask if i am drinking when you say you are positive but you still go and watch CRAP ?? There were a lot of positives about 2008 and about 2016. we didn't make it but we have on both occasions made improvements in a big way. I have followed Scotland through some very bad years over the last 20 years. The Teams we have put out in that time have been utter rubbish. Players you never new or players that didn't get on the bench for a championship team. We now have a few youngsters and a few older heads that can play together and this is the best squad of players we have had in nearly 20 years. We actually have more than 1 player in each position bar the centre backs. We played some good football in Malta and we created a lot of chances in both halves. We should have been 3-1 up at half time.I think this team will only get better. not sure if they will be good enough to get us to Russia but we are on the right road for once.
  13. i don't think its about failing. try to be positive and take the good out of it and relay that to everyone and stop being so down. if you change the attitude of people maybe more youngsters would take up the game giving us more talent to choose from. i know there is a lot more than this that is wrong with our game but this is something we can all do and it costs nothing. just try being Positive
  14. got tickets for this and looking forward to it. we have been saying we will try the Ferry for years but never got round to doing it for 1 reason or another.
  15. Looking at booking this flight and back the next morning at 9.30. are there enough wanting to share a taxi to and from the game?

    Park RUN

Looking at doing this the day of the Lithuania game. Does anybody do the Park run in Glasgow? what is it like? What is the best way to get to it from Glasgow Central? Cheers for any help
  17. LOL How did Leizig do at the weekend?
  18. you are not getting me to bite on this we all know what you are up to in Corby you have people with a Glasgow accent that have never been to Scotland work that out....
  19. If i was any good at Football i would be the same as Burke. Born in Scotland moved to England and went to School here. i have and always will be Scottish. As others have said there are a lot in Corby who feel they are Scottish because there parents are from there and they grew up in an area full of Scots.Burke grew up a few miles from Corby. if you counted the number of people on this board that live in Corby or born here there would be quite a few that would give there right arm to play for Scotland. I hope the same is true about Burke.
  20. Snodgrass does not play in the center he would be further forward just behind the striker.
  21. I'm a bit mixed on this. Great Payer when fit and has done a good job for us. He had a bad year for us but if he was playing through the pain barrier i can understand why and that shows commitment. He has never had the play maker beside him and has had to do both jobs. we still don't have a player to do that job maybe we should try Bannan. who else will be good enough to take the arm band. Fletcher is not a Captain and i struggle to think of anyone who is. This is just another thing we miss on the pitch as you should have 3 to 4 players who could be Captain on the pitch. Thanks Brown for what you have done i will miss you in the Dark Blue.
  22. cheers for the help got it sorted when i used my home PC.
  23. anyone got the link to buy the ticket. click on the link in the email and it takes me to a page where it has no season tickets for sale. try the away and says the same. i am clicking on the Malta link not the season ticket link in case you ask.
  24. when you look at it like that it does make the games look a lot more attractive. i work with a load of English guys (4 of them go to the games for the football) and i tell them if we get beat both games it means nothing to us but if we get a point you lot are getting it big time.
  25. I don't know about Burke as he hasn't done anything yet in a poor Forest team let alone international standard. Snodgrass will def give us something different. We all know that Forest can be a good player but has not been good enough in the Scotland shirt for a whole game. A lot of people are not including Ritchie and i think GS will play him he got better for us the more he played.
