  1. Someone will be having a good look at the Erskine bridge now
  2. They can either sit at home or sit in a traffic jam. Not really a lot of choice as they can't pull another bridge out from behind the curtain. It must be a really bad defect if it has led to a total closure as this will be costing the economy millions. I can't see it reopening in a matter of days unless they over reacted in the first place
  3. From midnight until its fixed, at least 24 hours. Good luck traveling in the east tomorrow!! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-35001277
  4. Been a while since there was anything on this. Noticed a few stories in the news yesterday and today that suggest its coming to a head again. Just saw on the news that Macedonia are filtering what they class as refugees from migrants and its causing some bother http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-35001515 Lots of fences been built since September when there was last a post on this and a lot of borders being enforced too. Talking about closing a bridge crossing between Sweden and Denmark too to stop migrants http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/dec/03/swedish-government-proposes-bridge-closure-as-refugee-numbers-rise Greece being put under threat of being kicked out of the Schengen area http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-34983426
  5. There's something a bit screwy with our democracy when all votes are whipped. What is the point in having hundreds of MPs in parliament all day yesterday talking about a vote that they have already been told which way they are to vote. The real debates and decisions are taken behind closed doors. Your employer is not allowed to influence your vote in a general election yet the MPs when making such a critical decision are told if you don't do as a told your out of a job in a few years. It's messed up. Would be as well getting rid of all the MPs have the various parties "cabinets" and just let them divvy up their votes.

  8. 9 0 No wonder they are giving the tickets away
  9. Sky sports has been terrible this year. Almost all the decent matches are on BT. If your going to get a sports package get that or even better get BT broadband and get the sports for free
  10. I'm looking forward to when I can stick on the news and not have it look like the start of a Tom Clancy book. I cant believe Turkey shot down the Russian plane because they cut accross a wee sticky out bit and NATO (I.e. us are backing them up now). Poor pilots killed parachuting down (war crime) and then the rescue helicopters got shot down too by US supplied rocket launchers. All that is now happening in our name. Really messed up.
  11. Nice pair of Orange football boots would look great with it

Ooft if they were all eligible for Scotland think of the team we could have
  18. We will have to agree to disagree, I want independence for Scotland so we can decide our own affairs. I think the people in England deserve the same right. The principal stands wither it is assisted suicide or their planning laws. The current status quo worked in scotlands favour as we had said we would vote on English matters if it would affect the budget that came north. The MPs would have been able to decide when that was the case. Now that decision is going to be taken out of the SNPs hands and instead the speaker of the house will decide.
  19. I think Fox hunting should be banned but it was an England and Wales matter and the Scottish MPs should not have voted on it. The folk in England writing letters already have representatives in that parliament. On assisted dying I had a look for the voting record and you can see SNP folk voted for and against http://www.christian.org.uk/news/find-out-how-your-mp-voted-on-assisted-suicide/ Being able to drive to England could be used to defend voting on any issue and its a terrible argument.
