Renewals should open this week. Maybe the idea is that an away friendly arranged at short notice will encourage folk to renew early.
A manager would be handy though. Maybe an away match in Belfast to allow O'Neill to say cheerio to them and it wouldn't surprise me if that formed part of the £500k compo for him.
It's for the away games I renew. Slovakia, Lithuania and Slovenia in the past campaign did employ the points system. I know tickets could still likely have been secured but not necessarily for a group.
It's for that same reason I refuse to use the catering inside Hampden. And I've got the past few tops for the kids from Ali Express and DHgate for the simple reason of not wanting to contribute to the marketing people at the SFA.
I will probably renew for me and the kids but it'll be last minute. And I'll be giving the North Stand a miss again as the pricing there has been an excessive the past few campaigns.
However if they appoint Guardiola tomorrow and announce away matches against Argentina, Australia and Iran then they can double the renewal cost and I'll stump up.
Think they're aiming for mid/end of this month. I am amazed that they've delayed this as it brings in cash for them but with no manager or fixtures it will not be an easy sell.
DaveyDenoon that is a great post.
The SFA is run by marketing men rather than football men so they view every action in terms of money. This needs to change. We have gone backwards under Regan's tenure and we should be looking for his head on a stick.
Michael O'Neill has never been my top pick but as soon as the SFA made him their first choice they should have secured him. They are now potentially left looking like the amateurs that they are. We approach the Nation's League draw on 24 January without a manager in place. We have no fixtures lined up and appear rudderless with Regan at the helm.
His discomfort about the true cost of leasing Hampden also risks us becoming homeless due to his (in)actions.
Get him out. Get Morten Olsen in. Or Slaven Bilic. Someone at the SFA needs to show leadership but none of them will as they are just stuffed blazers.

suggests all the recommendations were from Henry McLeish. I don't see Levein getting any mention in either the above or it's predecessor which was the "original" vision:

These would have happened regardless of Levein being in post.
Wotte was tasked to implement the recommendations from Henry McLeish's review.
Suggesting this came from Levein is revisionism but I do totally agree that Cathro's youth development at Dundee Utd was very successful.
The "McFadden" shirt being a case in point. That strip wasn't exactly raved about (certainly not by people I know) but took on significance following the goal in Parc des Princes.
There's some Bratislava info in here http://www.associationoftartanarmyclubs.com/slovakia-sporran-guide/
I can't vouch for any of it as I stayed in Trnava.
Wow! So the next time your mother, wife, gf, daughter makes a comment to someone that they deem offensive then they're right to lamp them? Unbelievable.
Exactly how I feel. The only reason not to appoint a manager can only be a cost saving exercise.
Regan is not a football man, he's a marketing man and is so out of his depth it's terrifying. He and his board are the problems that are holding us back.
Previous or not, this sort of behaviour is simply unacceptable at football or in modern society. You're spot on - behaviour befitting a complete radge.
