  1. As opposed to this, which the SSC told me absolutely nothing about when paying/collecting this ticket in Lille. Thanks for that šŸ™„ Never even acknowledged my email when I got back just to let them know it was a bit crap.
  2. I had two of my mates accounts as they were working and sat on two different browsers (Chrome and firefox). The first one I logged in at 09:40 and sat in the waiting room - the next was logged in at 09:55. Both are still sitting in the waiting room at 11:47. Just to "have a look" i logged into my own uefa account (i already have tickets) at 10:30. And I was redirected into the ticket portal at 10:55!!? Weirdest queuing system in the world it seems šŸ˜ž -starting at the back or just randomised?
  3. When the DB rail tickets were opened my dad bought one to get from Frankfurt Airport into Stuttgart. Today - BA changed his flight time so heā€™s now arriving later, and will likely miss the ā€œspecificā€ train he booked. The DB rail site suggests ā€œno exchanges or cancellationsā€ but is a bit vague about what constitutes an exchange (ie name or destination or timeā€¦.or any of the above). Anyone else booked this kind of ticket and understands the German Ts and Cs printed in the ticket? Clutching at straws I think but reluctant to book another one in case the same thing happens again!?
  4. Same here know people on 11 jus got 3 codesšŸ˜³
  5. 13 points!?! if this is the case then SSC must know who got a ticket on anything less than 16 points and can surely take it back?
  6. Yes itā€™s just luck in both cases but luck and chance are two separate things - the chances of you getting a ticket if you put one in your basket prior to 10 am were improved. Also, the chances of you getting a ticket if you could login at 10am rather than 12pm weā€™re improved. I totally agree the main issue is the ticket portal. And a ballot doesnā€™t need to be non-digital. Randomiser code is very common, it could still give those selected a specific time window to login and pay.
  7. Poor word choice on my behalf. Random is absolutely correct in a ballot. Random is not who can refresh their screen the fastest at an unspecified time before a species time that tickets will go on sale. And thatā€™s even before taking into account all those 200-300 people who may not be able to be online within a set 3 hour window (which actually turns out to be a minus 5 minute window)
  8. Totally agree. I also noticed a sold out banner a few minutes before 10am. Think they need a new ticketing system (again!?) or to be more transparent to say ā€œitā€™s 10am but we are going to update it at 9:50 so you can queue from then. surely just a straight ballot like the olden days would be fairer than an online scramble at a set time where the parameters of getting in a queue or not seem completely random. My main gripe is that FIFA still think itā€™s ok to give a 5% allocation to away fans. Thatā€™s pathetic.
  9. With the mobile tickets - my phone is going into self-isolation between leaving the house and getting to the ground. So the pre-match photos may be a bit light šŸ˜€
  10. Yeah the text/email is pretty instant. I'm doing a couple of these a week just now, they are easy to do - but not pleasant......unless you like gagging and things stuck up your nose(each to their own!?). The 30 min wait time between doing the test and the result is the most nervous time of the week!
  11. Yeah Iā€™m not quite sure how it worked. I had kept my Croatia ticket from the original ballot but that game wasnā€™t displayed as an option - only the Czech game. I had lost cat 3 Czech tickets in the ballot and when i went to select these it said only 1 was available, so took the 2 x Cat 2 that it offered. Got England through SSC šŸ‘šŸ» well done everyone who got tickets, see you there!!
  12. Got 2 x Cat 2. Amazing! Thatā€™s me got all three games now. Not danced around the house like this for a while šŸ„³
  13. Think Iā€™m just bitter - but canā€™t get my head round the numbers. If the allocations are meant to be percentage based and the capacities are nearly double at Wembley then Hampden (22500 vs 12000)...... then we have either done very well getting 1900 at home or done very badly getting 2600 ā€œawayā€??
  14. Straw poll as I am on 12pts and want to cheer myself up after that shambles of an ā€œawayā€ allocation..... who on 13 and above is NOT buying a Wembley ticket šŸ¤”
  15. Seems them down south have got their allocation sorted and planning to sell their ā€œhome teamā€ tickets from next Tuesday. They have 2968 for the game against us mainly in the ā‚¬50 category.
  16. My mates not in the SSC have bought online in the Belgian end. Started a wee (tiny) unofficial Scotland end in section H of the Blue stand. They said it was an easy process, and looking at the availability - half the place seems empty!
  17. 13 of us booked on this šŸ‘šŸ»šŸŗ
  18. 11 of us out on the Tuesday 6.05 Edinburgh to Brussels. Back in the Eurostar to London then easyJet back up the road. Booked most for Ā£150 but added another today itā€™s Ā£175. Cheap hotels arenā€™t easy to come by! Any suggestions?
  19. if we have a breakaway or a decent through ball etc, nearly all the stadium stands up, how do kids see at this time? (This is a genuine question I'm not trying to be wide!). I would have thought this was the perfect reason to have a designated family section?
  20. Its all been said before I understand Uefa's reasoning Its been in place for a while now I'm really just on here to get it all out but............. I really am sick and tired of it. The upcoming games really are hitting home how pap this whole idea is for me, Mr Monday-Friday 9-5. I live in the central belt so pretty much feel for the huge numbers who dont. Of course, Scotrail doesnt help by not putting on semi-late trains (I'm not asking all night - but at least a couple of trains through East and heading North which run a bit later than 11pm!) Germany on a Monday.....Poland on a Thursday. All in all - as much as it might be better for folk watching on TV - is anyone actually enjoying this format and its working out well for them??

    Trains

Good tips folks, thanks for your help
  22. Any locals know about the train system? We are flying into Poznan and planning on train to Warsaw. Looking on the website there are quite a few and regular. But does anyone know if I book one, am I restricted to a specific train? Just in case our flights are delayed would be good to know this. Couldn't see anything specific in FAQs. Alternatively, will it be any cheaper buying in advance than turning up on the day.... I know over here it can be a lot cheaper sometimes, but I still struggle to understand our own train booking system let alone a foreign one! Finally, and most importantly - can you take a carry out?
  23. We are on those flights home (sorry we must have bumped up the price as got the second for Ā£25). Also staying in this hotel. The rooms look rotten but free breakfast and cheap rates, bang in the centre. That'll do nicely, hoping not to be in the room much anyway. We are going on Monday out 0640 Edinburgh to Stansted then Stansted to Poznan. Train from there. Hopefully arriving about 730.
