One thing he certainly shouldn't be praised for is the commonwealth games. One of the most shambolic times of his watch. Some of the other stuff he's been blamed for is a bit ridiculous though. I'm surprised there's not been uproar that armed cops are sitting about doing not very much!

I found the people unbelievably friendly. Hotel gave us free wine. Wouldn't have us get a taxi to airport and gave us a lift. Someone after the game even offered to pay for our dinner as we were guests in the country. Have to say didn't really find many bar's. I'd be stunned if there was any trouble. Kilts were certainly no problem.

I like being able to watch the other teams, especially in the build up to our game. I don't like the fact there's a day less between games in terms of travelling, although I can't say that's been a major issue yet.

Never mind the bus journey, it's the steps to the stadium! I can't believe that place was allowed to host international football. It was amusing watching fans hike up the steps after a day on the sauce though.

When they're all in the same pot I don't have problem with them being in 6 team groups but to keep them apart when in different pots is a farce.

I couldn't get it to work on my phone at all.

Is it the uefa coefficient that's going to be used for this? And if so does that mean the groups are decided at the end of this campaign?

Hope the draw is later in day. Scottish pipe band champs that day. Prefer the computer fixture arrangement tbh. Gets it sorted nice and early. With the early draw we'll not be able to book anything anyway.

Thanks for the info guys. Back to the drawing board. Think more than likely I'll have to just give it a miss. I did contemplate booking it and also a later flight as there's one for £35 a couple of hours later. Really need to be back though so probably not really an option. I'll keep hunting.

That would be great. The flight to Amsterdam is with Georgian Airways and then KLM to Birmingham so they're not linked airlines. Would be two separate bookings. I need to be in Hayfield in the Peak District for 11 and this is about the only option I can find.

Is 55 mins long enough in Amsterdam airport between flights? It would be two separate flights with different airlines. No luggage.

I got mine from Geoffrey Tailor in the High St in Edinburgh. As I wasn't paying I went for a heavyweight effort which was more expensive. Very happy with it. Think it took about 8 weeks.
