  1. Until recently I'd have said 1. Gordon, 2, Shagger, 3. Marshall. I've been very impressed with Marshall though and at this point I don't think he deserves to lose the gloves. All three are great shot stoppers with Gordon possibly the best of the 3. From the last few times I've seen him though, Marshall has looked a lot stronger with crosses.
  2. Anybody make it along this morning. I'm in Aberdeen this weekend so decided to pop along. Still haven't done the other one up here. Having looked at their average turnout it seemed good today. Certainly lots of runners at the start either new to parkrun or at least the Hazlehead edition. Found the run tough compared to my usual (Edinburgh). Unfortunately Dave Moorcroft didn't run, but it was quite amusing seeing him holding the jackets and Becky Lyne dishing out the goodies at the end. Stopped for a quick word with Moorcroft at the end, who seemed a really nice guy.
  3. Nightmare. I'm sure the views, crowd and prospect of a nice medal will drag us round. How much did you pay for tickets? I had a look previously but seemed quite expensive.
  4. Same :-( Did I read before that you're doing barcelona? My training for it hasn't really worked out, or more accurately started. Having just looked I've done 9 runs so far this year. 2 off which have been more than 5k. I suspect Sundays training run and the marathon might be a struggle.
  5. The one thing I don't like about the system. You have to be at a computer at a certain time. Also as it goes through the point levels it takes days/weeks to allocate all tickets. Under the old ballot system it was done in a day and didn't involve being a computer at set time, the frustration of the system crashing and the need for any apology due to unpreeeeecedented demand!
  6. Has this been anything more on this, Qatar or any other game at end of season?
  7. Does Highland Cathedral even have words?
  8. He was linked with Hull in the summer too. Would be good if he could strike up a good understanding with Snodgrass. Amazes me he's often left out the Sunderland starting 11.
  9. Great turnout at Edinburgh today. Braw weather too. Bit slippy at points. Still trying to work off the festivities and a little slower than normal. And other than parkrun, if there's no medal, I'm out.
  10. I've used my phone for a couple of marathons and it's lasted no problem. A couple of them have been 5 hours + and I've taken photos going round. I've got an iPhone 4 at the moment, which I don't find to bad carrying, but I reckon any bigger and it would be a bit of a pain.
  11. The group 2, 3 and 4 playoffs are in March 2020 and will provide a place at Euro 2020. I suppose that's their equivelant final.
  12. 1st run in a few weeks. Slowest park run to date. Felt like I was running through treacle. Feeling good for doing it though. Hopefully make it along on 25th.
  13. You said if you don't go to the Northern Ireland game it works out more a ticket. That's obvious. If you're planning to go to all games I think it's a good deal. You're not and you don't think it is. We'll leave it there.
  14. So with that theory, no season tickets (Scotland or otherwise) would be a good deal.
  15. How much should it be? I went to quite a few Queens Park games last season and they charged £12. That's bottom tier Scottish football. Regardless of opposition you're paying to watch the best Scottish players.
  16. Granted, it's for poorer seats, but given how few season tickets were sold I wouldn't be surprised if there were still tickets just off the North stand. Scotland are playing Gibraltar in a competitive qualifier. That's who I'm paying to watch. Don't really see whether you're bothered about going to the Northern Ireland game or not makes it a worse deal.
  17. £90 for 4 international football matches is not a good deal. Really? £22.50 a game. You'd pay more to watch SPFL. Throw in ones looking like it could be our biggest game since Italy '07 and another is against the current world champions, I'd say that's a pretty good deal.
  18. Last year was a great year as well. More snow than a lot of Europe at times. Hope we get another decent spell. Doubt I'll make it up till January.
  19. A friend of a friend was working as a Scout for City. He worked the Spain area with the remit of finding players they could bring in for nothing, spend a little on and sell on in a year or two at a small profit. Perhaps not just to produce top level talent but also develop players to continue making a profit in such a way.
