  1. Stewards tried to eject a guy for being drunk. Police got involved then Union Bears ran down & pulled him back. Guy shouldn't have been allowed into ground drunk. UB shouldn't have got involved. Feel free to make the rest up.
  2. Went to this last night & thoroughly enjoyed it. It wasn't excellent but good nevertheless. I thought the Bollywood ending was pretty funny. Only negative - despite public announcement requesting phones to be switched off, why do some people think it doesn't apply to them. Girl 3 rows in front was told 3 times to turn her phone off & stop filming.
  3. Played v Rangers at Ibrox at least twice. 1970 in an Inter Cities Fairs Cup tie which ended 1-1 1972 Cup Winners Cup SF which Rangers won 2-0
  4. It's a lottery.................... Andy Webster Michael Ball Bert Konterman Kevin Muscat Paolo Vanoli Olivier Bernard Karl Svensson ...all worse than Nisbet.
  5. Definitely. I only discovered these 2 or 3 yrs back on a 9hr wait at Nairobi airport on way back from Madagascar. I go in one everytime I fly unless it's only a 2hr wait. Usually football on TV, free drinks, snacks etc. & more comfortable than the standard airport seats As somebody mentioned, even if you have to pay it's generally worth it. The only downside is, now they're getting more well known, a lot of young people use them as creches, sitting with their laptops plugged in watching films, music, blogging, or glued to Twitter & Basefook while their children run riot unsupervised all over the place. Can get a bit noisy with squealing kids. Generally ends in panic when whatever the parents are watching finishes & they realise that young Brooklyn, Romeo, India, Summer, Skyler, Egypt, Tulullah, Reignbeau, Poppy, Honey, Daisy, Apple* (insert name) has found the exit & is somewhere else having gone on a journey of discovery. All in all definitely worth it if you've a long wait.
  6. Thank you. You could possibly be right in that certain articles may have been removed from certain websites & are not visible now. My guess is that it's more likely to come through Basefook & Twatter & the people that frequent those sites?
  7. Maybe I don't know what a homepage is then? I went onto the Vanguard Bear's website & pressed Home. Then I backtracked through previous articles & saw nothing to support TJ's assertion that the trouble in George Sq was organised by the Vanguard Bears. I then pressed Forum but couldn't access it as it required me to either Sign In or Register. I've no wish to register so chose not to. Still with me so far? Splendid! I think as the Master of Bawbaggery on here, I have much to learn from you in the 'making an arse of yourself' department. At no time have I 'attempted to sweep scumbaggery from fellow Rangers fans in this incident. I have already said I'd be disappointed if the VB were instrumental in the organisation of the trouble in George Sq & was asking Tartan Jon to provide the link. I wasn't calling him out, just asking for proof. If there is evidence I'll condemn it like I'm sure any right minded reasonable Rangers fan would.
  8. No I didn't. I went onto the website Home page & scrolled back through previous articles & can't find any link to anything connected to what Tartan Jon's referring. I couldn't access any other parts of the site as I'm not a member so couldn't sign in & access any of the forums. Is that any clearer for you?
  9. No need to apologise but if you can post a link then I'd be interested. I'd be very disappointed too as the VB have produced some interesting articles in the past & I'd hate to learn this is something they'd endorse let alone organise. Fair enough?
  10. Really? I've just had a look on the website & can't see anything remotely like what you're suggesting. I only looked on the Home page of course as you have to be a Member to enter the forum. Perhaps you're a member so can post a link?
  11. the Dundee United 4 - Dundee 1 Falkirk 1 - Rangers 1 (Falkirk aet) Ross County 0 - Hibs 0 (Hibs on pens) Killie 0 - St J 1 Aberdeen 3 - Livvy 0 Partick Thistle 1 - St M 2 Celtic 1 - Hearts 5 Hamilton 0 - 'Well 1
  12. There's an official mark used for ballot papers issued for postal voting which is different from that used by people voting in person at polling stations.
  13. Also to avoid the scenario of someone voting in someone else's name & the correct person then turning up.
  14. The provision of pencils in polling booths is a requirement under section 206 of the Electoral Act. There's nothing to stop you using a pen. Pencils are used because pens could run out of ink whereas pencils are checked throughout the day to make sure they aren't blunt or broken. They also work better in countries with a hot climate so it's not just the UK that does this. As for tampering with ballot papers - the storage, carriage & counting of ballot papers is under scrutiny at all times The ballot boxes are sealed by the Presiding Officer & unsealed by the Returning Officer (or at least their staff) at the time of the count when the papers themselves are counted to make sure they tally with the votes cast according to the register, before staff begin sorting & counting.
  15. You do know that postal votes are opened before the day of the polls? Did you know that people actually open the envelopes. Did not know that the opened voting papers are placed on the desk in front of you (albeit face down, you can still see the cross 80% of the time). Did you also not know that candidates or their agents sit opposite the people opening the envelopes trying to see how folks have voted in order to get a snapshot of the marginal seats. Guess what they do with that information? I realise that this is different to a local or general election but both camps will have representatives there to ensure 'fair play'. The people who sort the ballot papers have a vote & I'm fairly confident they'll be interested in which way it's going? My guess is, not everybody will keep that information to themselves.
  16. Don, Can we have 2 tickets please, Thanks.
  17. No such place. Did you mean Bells Bar, Brechin Bar, Fairfields Bar, the Harmony or Richards Bar perhaps?
  18. Or Port France Paddy here Glasgow we come Bhoy (for 'short')
  19. You should know the script by now. Everytime there's a lull in the conversation somebody shouts 'Rangers.' it's a bit like tourettes.
  20. As did Martin O'Neill when he was at Aston Villa. Signed Emiley Heskey instead. How did that song go again? If Heskey plays for England so can I
  21. Going to have to disagree on Heartbreaker. They weren't even Free really by that time. Andy Fraser had left the band & Paul Kossof was a drug-addled mess. Four years between the albums too makes for a difficult comparison as the group had changed so much by then. For me, there's nothing on Heartbreaker anywhere as good as Walk in my Shadow. Musics all about personal taste though.
