Jaggy Jim
What a way to go out in your last test. 100 off 54 balls, breaking Viv Richards and Misbah-ul-Haq's record of 56 balls. Arrived at the crease with New Zealand 32-3 in the 20th over at which point Josh Hazlewood had bowled 10 over for 11 runs. He finished with 18 overs for 98 runs! McCullum also broke the record for most test sixes in a career in the process. Just gutted I went to bed when they went for lunch at 11.30 our time when he was on 37. Jaggy Jim
Just watched the highlights and it's even more unbelievable than the stats suggest. McCullum was actually caught at gully, stunningly by Marsh in one of the best catches I've ever seen, on 39 but it was a no ball. He went from 50 to 100 in 20 balls. He's admitted he was trying to hit every ball for 4 or 6. He had 3 or 4 top edges over the wicket keeper for 4 to the extent where Australia actually placed a fielder a few yards inside the boundary directly behind the wicket keeper. I've never seen a fielder in that position before. Amazing stuff.
Guest faircity
Not often you see a back stop in test cricket. I stayed up till just before 2am and seen most of it. Breathtaking stuff.
