mcnpauls
The free entry for burgh residents meant we used to go pretty regularly when I was a kid in Stirling decades ago. It's a brilliant castle with so much to see and explore, and with huge areas kids can run around in or folk can have picnics in. The Wallace Monument is also a fantastic visit, especially with kids as it's like somewhere straight out of the Lord of the Rings. By car it only takes a few minutes from Castle to Monument. The Old Military Prison near the Castle. Is also a cracking place to visit, too.
