killiefaetheferry
Anyone advise who has experienced this? It's due to Italian ATC striking. Getting no response from our airline and finding no availability with them online for about a week for anything going back to uk, never mind Edinburgh. Found a flight with another airline on Sunday. Book it and hope they reimburse? 2 nights extra accommodation too 🤷🏻♂️
Rich NATA
Your contract is with whoever you booked with. Did you book with airline directly? Did you book with somebody else? Expedia, Last Minute, Opodo, etc... Either way, it is the responsibility of whoever you booked with to get you home - EVEN IF THAT MEANS BOOKING YOU ON TO ANOTHER AIRLINE. killiefaetheferry
Booked flights with Ryanair. We're in Bologna and due to fly to Edinburgh tomorrow. There's clearly a huge scramble for folk to get rebooked over the next day or 2. Managed to switch onto Bergamo to Newcastle on Saturday but it means an extra night in Bergamo and a late night Premier Inn at Newcastle, plus trains from Bologna to Bergamo and Newcastle to Dundee. It's about an extra £500 plus food etc, but at least we'll get home before Monday 😂. Only question is whether any of it will be recovered... I suspect the EU rule on compensation for cancellations may not apply.
