  1. Nathan Patterson making a rare appearance for Everton as a 2nd half substitute has now been substituted himself with what looks like an injury. Honestly at this rate now, you are asking the question… who’s next?
  2. Gutted to hear that about Ferguson. Just hope this doesn’t derail his progression and he comes back a bigger stronger player. Midfield’s our strongest area in the team but so annoying to see him miss out as any injury to the likes of McGinn or McTominay then he would be straight in. Possible replacements is I’m hoping for is Tom Cairney or Ryan Gauld. Although I know it’s Steve Clarke so expecting it to be someone like Dominic Hyam/Ross McCrorie/David Turnbull or any other player that hasn’t been called up for a while.
  3. Out of curiosity - When do the loyalty points get added to your account?
  4. Start thinking of a plan b. For my liking we’ve just become very one dimensional and predictable in our play on what we are going to try and do. Our main asset threat in this formation was always the Tierney/Robertson link-up down the left flank but when opposition teams know how to combat that or one of them goes injured then we just look so lost and powderpuff.
  5. Seems like the only success tonight. Got in quick with no issues & turnstile queues were moving well and quickly.
  6. Unless a club comes in for his services & pays up decent compo or he resigns himself (which I can’t see) then he isn’t going anywhere. He’s on a contract till 2026. He knows he’s got an easy number and the SFA certainly ain’t going to get rid of a guy that’s took us to back to back Euro qualifications.
  7. They were an absolute horrible bunch when we played them back in November. Lobbing missles & bottles galore at FT from the tier above us. Glad we aren’t playing in a city near them. England fans will have great company with that lot in Germany.
  8. Worst performance since the Dublin drubbing two years ago. Struggling of picking a Scotland MOTM from that performance - it was very dire viewing. The loud chorus of boos at FT were absolutely justified. 74% possession with only 2 shots on target is beyond embarrassing against a nation that have only won 5 games in 3 years (two of them against San Marino). Don’t know what has happened to this team but since we qualified, it’s just gone downhill very fast. Need to find some confidence and consistency from somewhere otherwise, god knows what Germany, Switzerland & Hungary will do to this lot in the summer.
  9. Slightly off topic but are portable chargers allowed to be brought into the ground?
  10. Went with the below for tonight which is meant to be 3-4-2-1 (with McGinn & Ferguson playing off CF Shankland) but the BBC formation selector didn’t seem to have that formation listed : A couple of changes but not wholesale ones. We’ve not became a very bad team overnight that all our players need replacing. GK - Would like to see Gordon start. RWB - Some folk might go for Ralston due to Patterson’s poor performance against the Dutch but I’d keep to Patterson just in case Hickey is not back by the time the Euro squad is announced so the more exposure Patterson gets, the better. RCB - Would be happy with either Porteous or Hendry here but just went for the latter. CB - Despite his lack of game time at Leeds, I’d like to see Cooper given an opportunity here due to lack of options after Hanley & McKenna pulled out last week and also Souttar’s performance to forget against the Dutch. LCB - Picks itself LWB - Picks itself RCM - Put McTominay in that role just moreso to try and fit Ferguson in the same lineup without having to drop him/McGinn & either Tierney/Roberson. Still would give McTominay the licence to get forward when the opportunity arises LCM - Christie as the DM in a very similar role that he’s been playing at Bournemouth. We’ve got a very good DM here but it’s whether we utilise him in that role or not. Attacking midfielders - McGinn & Ferguson. McGinn obviously in that role as he’s our biggest goal threat. Give Ferguson a start here in that advanced attacking role he’s been playing at Bologna. Lad deserves a start to see what he can do on the international stage. ST - This was the tough one for me but I’ve still gone for Shankland. Despite him missing that crucial 1v1 against the Dutch, I’m not going to drop him for the basis on that. Still fancy him to slot those opportunities more than Adams & Dykes and hopefully gets a bit more service tonight than what he had against the Dutch. Overall minus that missed opppurtunity, he didn’t play bad. Just like everyone else in our team that night, we just never took our chances and our defence became as useful as a chocolate teapot in those final 15-20 mins.
  11. QR code now showing on the ticket app so will definitely be getting to Hampden sooner rather than later just to avoid any potential turnstile chaos.
  12. McGinn wasn’t too pleased either which is understandable after what just occurred. Just hope these defeats don’t damage us mentally as we’re going to be playing pot 1 nations teams like this from the Euros onwards.
  13. I think it’s just the manner of how we crumbled in that 2nd half when the 2nd Dutch goal went in is the most disappointing aspect for me. We just threw the towel in as lost all our shape & composure from there and it just became a horrible watch for those last 20 mins.
  14. As soon as the 2nd goal went in, our heads just went straight down and we started feeling sorry for ourselves by throwing the towel in. Defence was just all over the place and we just lost our whole team shape and composure.
  15. Thank feck for that FT whistle I know it’s a friendly but mentally this could be harming as we’ve been comfortably beaten whenever we’ve faced a big team. Just hope the players don’t drop their heads and take the positives forward but learn from the negatives
  16. Same. Things is this Dutch team is nowhere near as good as that one was. We’ve been absolutely trounced here and it’s a massive worry the number of goals we are conceding against top teams.
  17. 4-0 now I certainly did not envisage this.
  18. Exactly. We only have ourselves to blame for not taking those chances. Like I said earlier - Just hope they make up for all these missed attempts when they are playing at the Euros - get them out the system now so to speak
  19. 3-0 Netherlands Weghorst of all people 😅
  20. McTominay’s turn this time to miss the target. Just hope they make up for all these missed attempts when they are playing at the Euros - get them out the system now so to speak 😂
  21. Don’t take your chances at this level, you’ll get punished for it. This is my major concern with this team.
  22. And just like that, the Dutch make it 2-0
  23. McGinn should have done much better there. Perfect position on his left foot but nowhere near the target.
