  2. Errrr... nice misdirection. But yeah, you should doubt that doubt. (Not that there's anything wrong with it) You preach love to all and you call Rangers fans hateful and derogatory words. Nice. And no, not a Rangers fan, either. Just take umbrage to people who tell people "do as I say, not as I do" Anyway. Wasted enough time on you.
  3. Yeah. I'd actually say that Christie as well as James Maddison improved at Aberdeen, but I think that was more to do with the individuals rather than the coaching staff at Aberdeen or McInness. I always make Paul Lambert an example. I remember him at Motherwell. Decent player. More of an attacking midfielder. He left for Germany. Everyone in Scotland laughed. Overnight he turns into a world class anchorman with a European Cup winner's medal in one pocket and Zinedine Zidane is in the other. Not really sure if the players are to blame, though. More recently there was Angelo Alessioat Kilmarnock. They gave him a massive 22 matches. He was fifth when he got fired... thanks to a player revolt, something about his coaching methods they didn't like. Yeah. Good enough for Pogba, Pirlo, Marchisio, Vidal, Immobile, etc, but not good enough for Kirk Broadfoot, Scott Boyd, Alan Power, Rory McKenzie, etc.
  4. Interesting. Then I'd say that the chances of an outsider making their way into the squad is pretty slim.. barring a spate on injuries. It's a pity Scott Wright didn't move sooner as he might've been a wildcard. The situation with Scott Wright sums up the general standard of Scottish coaching, outside the Old Firm. He's pretty much said that he's developed more in 2 months at Rangers (Mentally and physically) than he had at Aberdeen for 7 years.
  5. And that's the talk of someone who is holier than thou? Me? I'm not holier than thou, so I CAN say that the Old Firm are a constant embarrassment on Scotland. You? I'm afraid, as you're God fearing, he will whip your ass if you dare say anything as Ill meaning. So you're stick in bondage. Oops. Enjoy being controlled by the Church.
  6. The punishment will always be the bare minimum. Nothing will change that, unless there's an independent adjudicator. UEFA and FIFA might talk a big game about "anti racism" but when push comes to shove, they will not want to upset clubs. In other sports, if you've found guilty of partaking in a despicable act, you're banned for years. In snooker, Stephen Lee was banned for 12 years for match fixing. And that's a minority sport with only a fraction of the wealth of football.
  7. Phil Foden has now played 150 matches. 20 years old. Now he's scored in the European Cup quarter finals. Billy Gilmour. 19 matches. He'll be 20 in two months. Chelsea are an absolute shambles of a club, lead by their trigger happy Russian owner. The sooner Billy Gilmour leaves, on a permanent basis, the better.
  8. https://www.goal.com/en/news/whats-going-on-with-gilmour-chelseas-golden-boy-pushed/sriaeydk4hql10jbgkutwlvho Ok. So it was Tuchel's choice for Gilmour not to go out on loan. Gilmour, as it is, his technical ability and game intelligence is head and shoulders above every midfielder in the Scotland squad. So it's a shame he'll miss out on Euro 2020.
  9. He speaks incredibly well and with such a maturity, for someone who is essentially, still young. If he adds more intensity to his game, he'll be the complete package.
  10. Forget about yellow cards, that's pretty much a metaphor. Yeah. That's my point. I've been noticing it more and more this season. He has the reluctance to press. With our system (as well as United's system), with the double-pivot, he has to press higher, and in case he loses his man or gets lost, he has his partner to cover for him. In 09/10 Darren Fletcher was amazing at it. I remember a game against Arsenal where he bullied their entire midfield by himself.
  11. lol I heard the dictionary elders have altered the phrase from "He/she could start a fight in an empty room" to "Roy Keane would start a fight in an empty room". It definitely is. I would actually attribute a lot of United's success, as well as instilling a certain standard of work to the class of 92, to him. I was watching a lot of highlights of when Ireland qualified for the World Cup in 2002. His contribution was monstrous. He dragged them almost singlehandedly (with help from Robbie Keane) to that World Cup.
  12. Truthfully, no one knows. He might be an emergency stop-gap, he might be the real deal. Well only really know when Celtic appoint a manager and they start splashing the cash. If they buy a center back, then we know the answer.
  13. Having watched Ryan Gauld playing about 14 times this season I can say that I think he's definitely good enough to play for Portugal. If he was playing for a Benfica or a Porto or Sporting Club, he'd shine the same way that Bruno is shining with Manchester United. His numbers for a club that will probably be relegated are insane! He could be in contention for the league's player of the year/team of the year and still go down.
  14. I think so, too, unfortunately. Even if the squads are increased from 23 to 27, I still couldn't see Gilmour push for a place.
  15. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/jim-white-proposes-drastic-billy-23904262.amp It's a nice idea, but it's too late. Even if Gilmour did get a loan move and cemented a first place spot, even that doesn't guarantee a call up (Turnbull, Gauld).
  16. Missed the part where he called you TDK/Chripper/dohadeer and you just target me? Shocker.
  17. Anywho... Thanks, but this thread is about Billy Gilmour.
  18. You might not know this but Che Adams rejected a Scotland call up on three occasions. Didn't see him playing for us in the play offs. Did you? We'll see. It's nearing the end of the EPL season and he has a fixture on the Southampton bench. Let's see if he starts for Scotland at Euro 2020. PS: You went to say that you hate the England when it comes to football. Cool. This is the man you're defending. Have a nice day: https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/805299977100675654/
  19. Never met you in my life, mate. I'm sure you're just a fan.
  20. Billy Gilmour NOT in action on Tuesday. He might live to regret not pushing for a loan move in January. For all anyone knows, we might never qualify for another tournament in Gilmour's career. This could have been his only chance of playing at a major international tournament. Technical ability, he's the best player we have. But if he isn't playing, Steve Clarke wont play him. Steve Clarke won't call up players that aren't playing first team football. *Unless it's Che Adams. Who, I suspect, only agreed to play for Scotland on the basis that he will start all Scotland's matches at Euro 2020.
  21. And you accuse people of being the weirdo grammar nazi Doeadeer? Irony is delicious. Anywho. Enough bs. Palmer, Dykes and Fulton all started on Tuesday. Two of the latter scored.
