  1. Fraser or Armstrong as wing back for 1 half each & Forrest behind Dykes or Nisbet sounds OK to me. So have the squad flew into Portugal only for this game & are heading back to the Spanish training camp afterwards? Seems that was the plan if some of the players didn't travel as a precaution.
  2. I'm a dreamer (we have to be as Scotland fans) but I'm also realistic England no matter how many injuries will be stronger man for man in 9 or 10 positions so if we got a draw it'll be a fantastic result that's the reality. I'm not sure but i didn't think Pope was their automatic number 1, thought they rotated as there's no stand out choice. Hope Southgate starts Pickford over Henderson, maybe there's more chance of a mistake out of him. No further comment on the England squad at this point from me I'm much more interested in our very tough opening opponent.
  3. Yeh like he says minor issues, if any player was seriously a doubt I'm sure it would be public knowledge as i don't see any reason for keeping secrets 2 weeks before a competitive game. So until we hear different no need to speculate on potential replacements.. For what it's worth I'm more concerned with a lack of match sharpness/confidence for Forrest & especially Fraser. Hope they get a minimum 1 half each against the Dutch.
  4. I hope this in not wishful thinking from you. During the Steven Reid interview yesterday he says everyone is fit.
  5. Give the kid a chance man, he is only 19 so let's see where the next year takes him. Hopefully there's a successful loan this season to English league 1 or higher. He looks looks to have all the attributes to be a very good player, so let's just wait & see. We might even get a hint if what's to come after these under 21 friendlies.
  6. Well summed up, it's a interesting & hopefully exciting squad.
  7. I agree, excellent all action display from our man. Someone being willing to pay £95million for a player with a little application as Pogba is a prime example of everything that is wrong in the game /world. Yeh Rashford may even be a less natural finisher than Adams(no dig intended😉)
  8. Yes he has played well, arguably best player on the pitch.
  9. I saw him on TV a couple of months ago coming on a sub & he looked different class. He didn't seem to do much after that though we'd be better getting a Dunfermline fans opinion why. I just know from glancing at the Crystal Palace forum previously a lot of fans rate him & wanted him given a first team chance. I guess this time next year we will know a lot more.
  10. Nice one to follow, sounds a real talent. Think your right about Ashby, got injured just before our qualifier against Greece & I'm not sure he has played for West Ham since. Only seen him play for 20 or 30 minutes for the under 21 but i liked the look of him, small but looked pretty fast, strong & skilful. It might be a bit daft at this stage to compare but looked a similar style to Keiran Trippier. If he turns out anywhere near as good as him we could end up having endless debates on here about how we get Patterson & Ashby in the same team. Ready when your are Taylor😉🤣
  11. Harrison Ashby the highly promising West Ham right back was in under 21's previously but has been injured most of the season so perhaps he isn't fit.
  12. Nice fresh young squad. Pleased in particular that Banks seems committed to us & the lad from Bilbao has been approached & has joined us also. Hope it's true about Elliot Anderson, maybe our scouts are doing their job better than some of us thought though one lad we have currently lost is Ben Nelson the promising 17 year old Leicester centre half who was representing us but recently switched to his country of birth. Can't argue with that i suppose.
  13. Wow i better get sky sports on, i thought it wasn't announced until 2pm.
  14. Cheers you've saved me the bother writing mine. Just the same one change for me, I'd happily assist you with that squad ProudScot 😉😁
  15. I like most on here want to look no further into the future than next month! Adams (PL 40, 8 goals & 5 assists) Dykes ( PL 42, 12 goals, 5 assists) McBurnie (PL 29, 1 goal, 0 assists ) The reality of what we care about the here & now..
  16. We all know the reasons you don't rate Adams or Armstrong & it's got very little to do with their footballing ability As for this line 'There's every chance that he'll retire from international football after Euro 2020' 🤣🤣🤣 I really don't know why you bother writing such ridiculous boring nonsense.
  17. Thankfully KT seems to have just about survived tonights game relatively unscathed. I really wish our ultimate warrior would chill out in these meaningless end of season affairs & save himself for this summers big battle😊 As for wee Billy, he seemed to be doing just fine first half, certainly offered more than Jorginho so i hope Tuchel hooked him as he has plans for him at the weekend. Though i fear that might not be the case.
  18. I also expected more from him this season, looked a good prospect a year ago.
  19. Good to see a few young players getting game time or debuts even goals in the SPL tonight. I'll look forward to Sportscene tonight. I'm not a fan but watched most of Celtics first half, they played well & Montgomery has a great first touch & looked relatively quick. Shame he appears to have been converted from a forward to left back!
  20. Looking forward to seeing him, think/ hope he is a defender.
  21. Its not that i wish the guy gets injured, i wouldn’t wish that on any player i just want as strong a squad as possible. I actually think Palmer is a better defensive player than SOD but SOD is better going forward & holds the shirt from previous relatively solid performances. Reality is neither of them are ideal & dare i say it England could probably choose 20 right backs better than either of them that's why when you have a player with as much potential as Nathan Patterson i think he should be fast tracked into the squad & tested in the pre tournament friendlies. Though only if he was outstanding in those friendlies would i choose him start against the Czechs ahead of SOD.
  22. True Shinnie is a solid player & if its at the expense of Greg Taylor then I'd be ok with him being included. He can then cover holding Midfield & if disaster struck third choice left back. I just don't want Shinnie in at the expense of one of our talented young midfielders. After Gilmour if we really need to select another naturally deep lying Midfielder I'd be tempted to take Alan Campbell, i think he is already good enough to play at Shinnie's mid English championship level.
  23. Yeh you've got to feel for Kenny, for me not a first choice but certainly worth his squad place. Whatever his Scotland future is I'm sure he will always hold cult hero status for his bravery & quality pens. I think Bannan is done at this level & the mere thought of Paterson & Shinnie getting called up would have the blood boiling of quite a few (inc me) on here but they are the type of player Clarke seems to like so we better prepare ourselves for that shit scenerio. If instead he chooses Gilmour + Gauld or Turnbull then we will all be buzzing & looking forward to messiah Clarke giving us a memorable summer 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🤞
  24. It would be ideal wouldn't it but sadly Liam played his part in his clubs final game relegation on Saturday so it looks like we're stuck with him.
