  1. If he doesn't want to play, why's he playing?
  2. Oops TDK, perhaps you owe a personal apologizes to TDYER63?
  3. Oh shiiiiiiiiiiiiii... TDK does always say 'apologizes' when he means 'apologies'. Interesting spot. Weird for Rscot to make the same mistake, but he used the UK spelling instead. I'd probably just put it down to weird coincidence. Either way, I think everyone should apologises to each other and move on.
  4. Shut up ya mad fanny! Hahaha kidding on. This is the best post I've seen on here in months. Well said mate. I hope it sinks in. I too come. On here every day, as I need somewhere to share my insane love and interest in the Scotland national football team. I'm not here to find enemies. I'm here to find friends.
  5. I thought Gilmour and Hornby might have had an outside chance as they are playing first team football now. Bit early for the others I think.
  6. That's a good call. They were definitely on their way up then!
  7. When was the last time we lost at Hampden to a pot 3 team? I genuinely don't know, but I think it's been a long time.
  8. Also interesting to see who voted for what. Wasn't too hard to guess who the people who voted for option 3 were haha, but I'm a little surprised by some of the names who are being so optimistic about our chance of qualifying. Let's hope they are right!
  9. I am genuinely surprised. I figured option 2 would far outweigh option 1 on here. Good on your for procuring cold hard data!
  10. I genuinely thought he had been capped already?
  11. Just gonna leave this here Now enabling smug mode... Yes, I know I'm the worst.
  12. It's really great to see this thread after all the shit McGinn took on here for making a couple of poor passing decisions against the world's best team just a few months ago. People not selecting him in their starting lineups because he is a "bomb scare" who gives the ball away too much 😂😂😂. He's brilliant.
  13. I'd almost certainly start Tierney ahead of Palmer with a gun to my head, assuming he actually wants to play, but it's at least a little refreshing to have a match go by and not have a bunch of post saying that our RB was a bomb scare and not fit for international football. It's a small step in the right direction.
  14. I'm not sure I agree fully with this. KT definitely has more ability to terrorise, but don't you remember the main criticism of him when he played at RB was that he wasn't able to do that anywhere near as effectively as when he's on the left, and he basically sat back the whole time and passed the ball off?
  15. "Scottish enough". What IS Scottish enough? Aren't we all a spectrum of Scottishness even as fans? I'm Scottish, but I live in England. Am I Scottish enough? I don't like peaty whisky. Am I Scottish enough? It has to be about desire, right? I want Scotland to succeed with every fibre of my being. If Palmer is eligible for us and wants the same, isn't he Scottish enough?
  16. So we now have TWO suitable right backs? Great stuff.
  17. I have a hope that the mentality of this group may start to change with a few wins, even though it's been against San Marino, Cyprus, and hopefully Kazakhstan. It can actually work two ways with the big name call offs. Sometimes the guys left behind can adopt a 'help is not coming, it's up to us now' mentality and start to really play for each other. I really hope we see some more glimpses of that on Tuesday evening.
  18. Didn't hear much about him in all the post-match comments on here, and I assume that's actually a good sign? Noticed he was rated as our fifth best player in the match on BBC. Is he actually a solid, but no frills option for right back or do we still want Tierney in there ASAP? Also noticed he joined in the goal celebrations with a beaming smile on his face.
  19. I genuinely don't think many on here believe we will qualify, and your early poll results are showing that. But the point is that it's the best chance we've had in a very long time, and may have for a very long time going forward. So let's get behind the boys and try and enjoy the occasion!
  20. It's good to hear they were working together. Too many times we've had an isolated front man. Christie seems like a great option who can bridge that gap.
  21. Was really hoping McBurnie would take a step forward in the EPL, but it sadly doesn't seem to be happening. Yet?
  22. OK I've just managed to catch the highlights now. Three cracking goals! One thing that stood out to me was how so many players were making sure to congratulate each other after our goals. We may have a weak team, but a good team spirit can lead to a weak team punching above its weight. How did Naismith do as captain?
  23. Exactly, right? I'd love to share a few jars with you boys and watch Scotland at some point. I personally (like many others on here) am stuck in another country with no one else who cares about our team. This is the place I come to find people who think like me, and a sense of community. We have so much more in common than we have stuff that divides us.
  24. Hahaha I honestly don't even know any more. Am I? I'm having an existential crisis. Maybe this whole forum if just a figment of my imagination?
