  1. Celtic and the Kelly's were well known for putting in crowds of 15000. My Celtic pals used to tell me you were choc a block and were crushed in. Official attendances were nothing like the real thing. But it is all about big bad Rangers.
  2. Whataboutery is whataboutery Scotty. But hey ho, I am a bit bored watching netflix and looking forward to the CL final tonight. Is this ok for you? Cheating The Taxman - AFC and Scottish Football - AFC Chat - Aberdeen Football Forum (afc-chat.co.uk)
  3. Yes. Hatred is hatred in all it's forms. Or is it just one side that are sectarian?
  4. Agree. I know plenty of English people who are brilliant folk. And have met many people through my life from plenty countries. There is good and bad in every country including our own. Judging people from the country they were born in is not right. Same as people on here go on about the Huns and full of hatred towards them. I don't get it. I really don't. But it's the Bile I suppose and some people can't help it. Sectarianism against Rangers is still sectarianism. Off to McD's for breakie. As Robert Burns said. 'Though it crawls on the coat of a Queen, an insect is still an insect. Stand on and have a good day. Scotty, you can be a Dons or Celtic fan without hating Rangers you know. Practice what you preach and all that. 👉
  5. Celtic. The gift that keeps on giving. How the worm has turned. Brilliant stuff. Keep it up bhoys and stand on.
  6. Just spoken to them. U will get dispensation for the Euros as you are a unique case 🤪
  7. Dont you worry. I will have a word with them so stand on 👉
  8. Aye. Might take a bit of time to sort out. And sometimes new players can be a bit of a hit or a miss. Same with managers. Always remember basil boli coming to ibrox. A miss. Ramy was excited last season when Duffy arrived. A miss. I am hoping celtic and Aberdeen do a decent rebuild. Still disappointed with hibs performance in the cup final but hope for a challenge from them as well. I don't want to see rangers running away with the league. Priority last year was stopping 10. I think this year it would be to put a good show up in the CL.
  9. Good appointment. Man made one mistake but is a good manager. Good to see people getting another chance. Hope he does well
  10. No heard from the giant of a man recently and getting worried.
  11. Good post. I assumed livingstone owned them. But you have to admit. As players and fans plastic pitches are not ideal in top flight football. I have been up to livingstone on a Sunday morning and plenty of kids at the back parks but none inside the stadium. Watching football live on TV at the like of killie and livingstone is like watching a training session. IMO but also in just about every professional player and manager. They can't all be wrong.
  12. People taking things off twitter and using them to generalise all supporters of a team. Ridiculous. Glad I don't use it. Doubt if all celtic and Rangers supporters are revelling in killie going down. That is just nonsense.
  13. There are at least 3 astro pitches at the back of the macaroni stadium which livingstone own. These are booked by local kids teams. They won't book the main pitch as too big. And old timers who play five a sides wouldn't book the main pitch either. Look. Everyone has different points of view on this. But players and supporters hate them. That is the main thing. The economic argument is nonsense. Youth clubs etc won't pay £100 per hour when there is one next door for a fraction of that. When I took my school team up for the Scottish Cup livingstone gave us the park for free. It was a great experience for the kids and myself as a coach. And we won. But livingstone never made a penny out of that. Every school now has astro so no need to hire a senior clubs pitch. And most schools can rent them out at night. So. There is no economic argument and they should not be allowed in top flight football.
  14. A 100 quid an hour? Which planet do you live on? Would you pay that when you can get your local community centre for £10 an hour? And even then they will only be used at certain times of the week by old codgers or a local side who train two nights a week.
  15. Ask a football player or manager that. How do junior clubs survive without plastic pitches. Easy answer. They train in local community. Anyone that has ever played the game knows that plastic pitches are shite. When I was up at livingstone two years ago I spoke to the chairman. They never get a booking as the local community centres are a 5th of the price. A waste of money which no player, and I mean no player wants to play on.
  16. Totally agree. You will never hear a player or manager within a team that has a plastic pitch say that though. Someone on another thread saying it is down to economics. That is a crap argument. We never trained on our grass pitch. We used local community places. And we were not a premier team. So that economic argument is a load of p....
  17. I think it was Shotts bon accord. Played there one day with a groin strain. I think Shotts was the biggest but sure Kilmarnock was up there as well.
  18. Never mate. This is the only forum I go on. On FB but very rarely use it and never mention Rangers or anyone else on it. Just my old football mates from the past. Looked at Pie and Beans years ago as I had an old friend on it but didn't like it.
  19. Ok. I was reading a news article from Celtic Park and asked a simple question about why Celtic were alligned to Palestine. But...... According to you Barney it has nothing to do with the OF. I despair. I think the Celtic board would disagree with you there. I have no interest in that conflict. More interested in getting our independence just now. But ask a simple question on here and I am the big bad hun so stand on
  20. The 66 thing is the 66 that died in the Ibrox Disaster. Been painted on murals and war graves in Glasgow over past year and been in papers. Wee neds certainly. And the wee neds from the Rangers side are putting up stuff as well. I am not about whataboutery. Just bloody neds like the ones in George Square. My dad brought me up as (VA will confirm) a Burns man. I used to love a Saturday night coming down from the farm and have a wee wander around the pubs. Both Rangers and Celtic ones. Never a bit of bother. Only times that made me angry and lose it a wee bit was when Rangers fans started wearing England tops for a spell. Again mainly young neds. Sometimes I found it hard to bite my tongue. I would say to them away in to Ibrox and wear your England tops in front of John Grieg or Tam Forsyth. You will get your arses kicked all the way back here.
  21. So pleased for St's this morning. Disappointed with Hibs though and I am sure they will be with the performance. Saints bang on team of the year for my money. Well done to the team and supporters. I think Scottish Football can kick on from this, I really do.
  22. So not one way then? You have me confused. All the graffiti on war monuments with 66 on them all year. But hey, it is all one way.
