  1. McNulty has only scored 7 in all competitions this season 1 in English Championship, 1 in Scottish Cup and 5 in Scottish Premiership. Not that great a record tbh and I don't see a top 4 Primera Liga team taking an interest in Marc McNulty for those 3 extra goals he has scored over the season so far. Bearing in mind this is also Harpers first season in senior football he has had a slight dip in form but up until then had been hailed as the breakthrough player of the year in a league probably equivalent to the English Championship and done enough to earn a contract with the team sitting 4th in the Primera Liga, definitely worth a look if you ask me. Time on his side I suppose and hopefully McNulty proves he can cut it also.
  2. I don't know if Marc McNulty is any good but I do know he has failed in the English Championship but yet has been picked ahead of a guy who has just signed a pre contract for a club chasing a Champions League spot. I can't make sense of that one but I hope he does well anyhow
  3. I am not sure if his choice at that time got the SFAs backs up and that is why he hasn't made so many squads as he maybe should have
  4. Yeah it had to do with him wanting to carry on playing for Hutchison Vale, the Edinburgh club Darren Fletcher played for, which was frowned upon at the time by the SFA whos opinion it was he should move on to a professional clubs youth system, whereas he wanted to stay and enjoy his football whilst studying for his exams. Low and behold United then come in after his exams are done and he now seems to be excelling
  5. That stat of 96% success rate for passing does not surprise me at all. I actually remember sitting watching that last night thinking the lad hadn't mis placed a pass all night, and a lot of them were good forward passes into lukaku and rashford, great performance.
  6. Not sure if this is a good move or not. Malaga are actually a bigger club, headed for promotion, he is getting games and the fans love him. He may not get the same game time if Getafe are really that good. I hope im proved wrong though and Getafe and Jack Harper are both playing Champions League football next season
  7. There is a potentially great starting eleven if you take the best from each squad. McCrorie Houston. McCrorie. Johnston. Church Ferguson. Gilmour Johnston. Henderson. Middleton Hornby
  8. Alright mate did you get my message about the extra seat. Also not sure where the pick up point is for us as you mentioned a couple of pick up points in your message.
  9. For the u21s standouts would probably be Ross McCrorie, Lewis Ferguson, Mike Johnston and Fraser Hornby. Both keepers are good as well. Be good to see how Hastie, Turnbull etc perform
  10. I know there actually seems like more talent in the u19s but then I've thought that before and by the time they get to 21s they all filter away. This 19s side have been together a good while now though and stuck together. I remember aitchison rudden and Middleton at u17s and doing well be interesting to see how far they go. A lot of performance school boys in there too
  11. Mctominay and McGinn would actually be a cracking midfield two in a 4231 for us. McGinn is a great ball winner but lacks McTominays compusure and awareness. They would compliment each other quite well though. McGregor is the other obvious contender but he plays well in any midfield position so could be pushed further forward
  12. I saw McTominay play more forward passes in one half against Crystal Palace than I have seen Mcdonald play in a full season.
  13. No I mean Thesaurus. Chripper would never come next to Deluded in a dictionary seeing as a dictionary is in Alphabetical order. It seems Chripper could also be filed next to something else....
  14. Deary me file Chripper next to Deluded in the Thesaurus
  15. Honestly mate give it a rest. This 3 at the back wind up has went far enough
  16. Showed great awareness for the goal tbf
  17. McGregor Tierney, Bates, McKenna, Robertson McTominay McGregor Forrest Armstrong Fraser Fletcher
  18. I'm not so sure about lack of depth, going by my recent squad we could send out two decent sides.. McGregor Tierney. Bates. McKenna Robertson McGinn. McGregor Forrest Armstrong. Fraser Fletcher Bain O'Donnell. Souttar. Mulgrew. Douglas McTominay. Fleck Snodgrass. Christie. Burke McBurnie
  19. That all depends on what the current ambitions are. Of course if the ambition is to go toe to toe with Europe's big guns and actually challenge the big nations to win international competitions then of course we are way way off. But if the ambition is just to qualify for these competitions then there are reasons to be positive that we have players at the required level to achieve this. And possibly, hopefully, have some younger players who may potentially reach the same level as Andy Robertson one day. Remember it still wasn't so long ago he was still playing for Queens Park. Stay positive.
  20. Stop looking at ratings systems and watch the game, Brown was woeful absolutely terrible. His pass completion was probably so high as after successful screwing a couple of long passes out the park and underhitting one back to the keeper he stuck to 5 yard square passes for the rest of the game. Btw McGregor wasn't much better but at least for him this was a one off and he still tried to make things happen.
  21. I like the thoughts behind that squad as well. Would be good to see Johnston integrated into the squad just unfortunate he's not seen as much game time since the start of the year. McCrorie has been outstanding recently and has nailed the holding midfield role as his own for Rangers. Since we are short of holding Midfielders I would have him or McTominay with us but McCrories game time puts him ahead
  22. Tierney will be playing right back, O'Donnell is cover. Douglas is cover for Robertson
  23. Yeah I really hope so, the only thing that worries me is he may lack a yard of pace for the top level, but his close control, movement, anticipation and finishing are fantastic. I suppose he is still small for his age so perhaps that has held him back for now. He didn't pull up an trees at his recent loan clubs either but that doesn't really mean he's not a player as different players thrive in different environments recent eg Scott McKenna or Olly Burke
  24. My Squad for forthcoming games would be.. Scotland Squad Goalkeepers Alan McGregor David Marshall Scott Bain Defenders Stephen O'Donnell Kieren Tierney Andy Robertson Barry Douglas David Bates John Souttar Scott McKenna Charlie Mulgrew Midfielders Calum McGregor Stuart Armstrong John Fleck John McGinn Ross McCrorie Ryan Christie Attackers James Forrest Ryan Fraser Oliver Burke Robert Snodgrass Steven Fletcher Oliver McBurnie Jack Harper
