  1. It is possible for it to be a dead rubber (for Scotland anyway) if Croatia and England have 4 points, Czechs have 3 and we have 0. We’ll need at least a point from our first 2 games I think to guarantee the Croatia game means something. Even then we could be relying on other results going our way. Let’s just beat the Czechs and England and we can party against Croatia.
  2. VAR will be in use so we will be very unlucky to get banjaxed by a dodgy penalty decision. OK so VAR isn’t perfect but if it’s a blatant dive we should be fine.
  3. Germany lost to North Macedonia in March and Löw has chucked it so I doubt they’ll be winning anything any time soon. You can never write them off I suppose but I’ll be surprised if they even get to the semis.
  4. Clarke has more or less confirmed he’s going to play McTominay in midfield next month.
  5. Well they could’ve done it so that nobody with a certain amount of points would lose out completely but yeah they had to pick a way to do it and nobody can have any complaints. Can’t please everyone when there are so few tickets available.
  6. Normally I would agree (and still kinda do) but you’ve got to feel a wee bit sorry for the guys who have went to enough games to guarantee a ticket under normal circumstances. Covid is to blame though and not the SFA.
  7. Nah it’s against the law. Except in hospitality areas of course. There was talk a couple of years ago of trialling the return of booze to football grounds and using Euro 2020 to test it but it came to nothing. Will be brutal if you have an early every slot for the games and can’t get a pint.
  8. All you’ve proven with this is the best teams have selected 26 players. Maybe Clarke is on to something? Seriously though, none of these managers are right or wrong about this. They are all different. Some will be comfortable with their 26 man squad abs some will want a look at some fringe players before they decide.
  9. They would be let go at the end of May and would then potentially be recalled up to a week later due to injuries if we pick any up in our friendlies. Potentially a waste of time and money particularly for players that would barely feature. Clarke wouldn’t have been wrong to name a larger squad but he’s not wrong to not do it either. Clarke has already told potential replacements to keep themselves fit. If they choose not to do that then that’s up to them. Not sure I’d want that sort of lack of professionalism in the squad anyway.
  10. Most other countries probably have more than 26 international class players to choose from (or maybe the manager is struggling to nail down his 26?). Clarke says he was struggling to pick 23. Or more than 23 anyway. If we have any injuries I’m sure their replacements will get up to speed quickly. They probably won’t play anyway.
  11. Yeah I’d agree. The 26 players can relax and show what they can do in training without the stress of potentially being cut from the squad. If Clarke had already decided on his final squad of 26 there would be no point in selecting additional players just to tell them to leave the camp at the end of May.
  12. I’m not sure if I agree that Clarke “should’ve” done that. The choice was his. He possibly felt there was no point in selecting people he knew he wasn’t going to include in his final squad anyway. What’s the point in messing people about like that unless it was necessary? If Clarke was undecided on his final 26 then yes, it would have been a good opportunity to see the players up close and make his final decision but if he already knew his final squad I can see why he didn’t pick a larger squad. We are more likely to suffer injuries in our warm up games (both after 01 June) than training sessions and Clarke can replace any players that get injured anyway.
  13. Clarke obviously felt he knew his 26 man squad and was happy with it. He actually stated he had more or less finalised his 23 man squad before the increase was announced and injuries hit so he actually had to pick another 6 players already. Injured players can be replaced up until the first match of the tournament so it wouldn’t be a complete disaster if we do pick up some injuries (depending on who the injured players are obviously).
  14. https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuro-2020/event-guide/glasgow/stadium/ You won’t need a test for Hampden but it states on the Wembley page that you might need one for there but it isn’t confirmed yet.
  15. Not so much as a pundit. I’m met him a few times and I found him to be a bit of a tit. He’s also a sexist womaniser. Good footballer though. I remember seeing him a few times at Ibrox when I was young and he was still decent then even though he was at the end of his career.
  16. Aye there would be a few folk would take that right now. I’d rather lose to England and win both games at Hampden to go through. Ideally 3 wins would be better. 😂 Obviously I meant goal difference in my earlier post before some smart erse corrects me. If we do go out on GD again I don’t think I’ll be able to cope.
  17. Fair point but international teams in general don’t win all that many games away from home against higher ranked teams. I don’t think we’re that unique in that regard. If it only happens every 14 years for us then I’ll take it if we beat England next month. It would be just like us to win at Wembley, lose both games at Hampden and go out on away goals or something.
  18. Returns closed before our allocation was announced and away allocations were sold 2 years ago so it would be odd if they were returned now.
  19. Fair point but I am also wondering where these 800 tickets came from and why they weren’t included in our original allocation in the first place.
  20. I don’t know, never of heard of him. In fairness there are no rules about England supporters (or any other nationality fit that matter) joining but if someone tries to turn every thread they are on into a discussion about England players or if they are arrogant or snide about our players or team then they are going to get called on it and deservedly so. Why any England fan would want to come on here is beyond me. You wouldn’t catch me on an England forum. That would explain why I couldn’t find Kiltedstalker. Maybe he’s another one of Roverboy’s personas? If the mods told you he was banned why did you say he was probably banned?
  21. I wouldn’t be on a Scotland supporters forum if I was English in the first place and if I was I would expect to get harassed. Seems legit. Would they tell a third party that someone else was banned? 🤔 You running to the mods again ya grass? 😂😂😂 Who is kiltedstalker?
  22. If you were a Rangers fan until you were 15 you must have heard the song Follow Follow ffs. I didn’t say you were Roverboy. And you call me paranoid. I just don’t believe he was a genuine England fan. Now you come to mention it though it is interesting that you know he was banned. Probably. Why would he have registered on here in 2009 if he was an England fan? We didn’t play them in 2009 did we?
  23. You mean the TDK we have no proof of being Taylor? 🤔
  24. Do you know anything about Scottish football? I don’t know or care who you support. Follow Follow is a Rangers forum. Going on there and pretending to be a Celtic fan would be about as stupid a thing to do as ‘Roverboy’ coming on here. Who was banned?
