  1. Yeah fair point. The numbers don’t really matter though I suppose although it is an interesting talking point with 2 weeks to go.
  2. He’s fine to play around 20-30 minutes I think but I’m not sure if we can afford a passenger like that. If Adams doesn’t make it then we need another striker that can play the guts of 90 minutes. In fact we might even need players that can play extra time as well. Maybe I’m doing Griffiths a disservice. He could be fitter than we think but I think Clarke would need to be certain of his fitness level before calling him up if Adams does drop out.
  3. I didn’t even check, I just took TB’s word for it. This is why a link is better than typing things out. McTominay at 4 is even stranger I suppose if Clarke is going to play him in midfield but squad numbers don’t really mean anything these days except number 1 has to be a goalkeeper.
  4. You don’t even get to pick your stand let alone seat. Cat 1 and 2 tickets are a rip off. Could be worse though - most expensive tickets for the opening match were €225.
  5. Sorry, I wasn’t accusing you of lying I meant why would anyone assume that. Anyone that assumes our starting 11 will be 1-11 from the squad numbers doesn’t know much about international football tournaments. The most you can glean from it I think is that Marshall will probably start but even that isn’t guaranteed. In all likelihood around 7 or 8 of the 1-11 will probably start against the Czechs but we won’t know until around 1pm on the day of the match. McTominay being number 5 is quite interesting but I would imagine Clarke is just keeping the Czechs guessing with that one. Or maybe McTominay asked for it as it’s his lucky number? Who knows?
  6. A lot of people have made that assumption? Who are these people? There is no way Clarke has made his mind up about his starting 11 yet. He’ll have a good idea for the Czech game but training sessions and the two friendlies will have a bearing on the team that walks out at Hampden a fortnight tomorrow. The starting 11 will likely be different in all 3 games anyway. Clarke likely didn’t have that much input into the squad numbers either. He probably signed them off but I doubt he spent hours thinking about it the way he will with his starting 11 for each match.
  7. Celtic has been trying to do that for 2 years. You think Clarke could do it in 2 weeks? Nisbet is a far better proposition at this stage.
  8. Yeah I just meant for me personally. My nerves were shredded on both of those nights. Winning the playoffs via penalty shoot outs, especially the Serbia one after losing a late equaliser, can only be good for the team. Especially if we need to face a shootout next month.
  9. Isn’t going to happen.
  10. 😂😂😂 Well aye but I’d rather have beaten Israel and Serbia in 90 minutes. Can you imagine if we had lost one of they shoot outs? I’d still be greetin. A coin toss would’ve been worse though. Total farce if that happens to anyone next month.
  11. Aye penalty shoot outs are a horrible way to go out but much more preferable to a toss of a coin. At least you’ve got some sort of say in it.
  12. It’s kilt. There, I’ve decided for you.
  13. Hopefully it won’t work out that way this time. I’d rather go out by at least a point I think. Well I’d rather go through but you know what I mean.
  14. I think he’s on the wind up. Either that or he’s pished.
  15. That rule was in place for Euro 2016 I think but hasn’t come into play yet.
  16. Yeah, according to Wikipedia anyway. That’s normally how it works these days so I have no reason to doubt it.
  17. 😂😂😂 Would have been a bit harsh to make us play Croatia 2 days after we beat England. Yeah the other dates are correct.
  18. Are you having a laugh? Celtic flew to Dubai a week after the whole country went into lockdown so it’s hardly the same thing. You realise we are playing the Netherlands in Portugal next week don’t you? European squads are going to be travelling all over Europe for a month.
  19. The Croatia game is on a Tuesday night. Not correcting you to be an arse but thought I’d mention it in case you book a table on the wrong day or something. 😊
  20. I really don’t understand why anyone would be going to London this time without a ticket. I wouldn’t go to any away venue without a ticket (although I can understand why people do) but it’s certainly not worth it this time.
  21. The fan zone was announced but they did state it was dependant on the Covid restrictions in place at the time. If things go tits up over the next couple of weeks there will be no fan zone at Glasgow Green. I highly doubt Sturgeon is making decisions on Glasgow’s Covid level based on Euro 2020.
  22. Yeah it’s getting ridiculous. There are areas of Glasgow with very low case numbers but the whole of Glasgow stays in level 3 when there are areas of East Renfrewshire which have high numbers and are closer geographically to G41 and G42 etc. than the west end or North Glasgow are and east Renfrewshire is level 2. From a Euros point of view it’s probably best if Glasgow stays in level 3 until just before the tournament starts as we don’t want numbers rising and for us to be put back into level 3 and to risk losing fans at the games. From an economy point of view it doesn’t make sense to keep the whole of Glasgow in level 3.
  23. I doubt it. There are 90 people in hospital with Covid and 6 people in intensive care in the whole of Scotland. Going by Sturgeon’s comments today, unless these figures significantly increase over the next week I think Glasgow will be moved to level 2 next Saturday. Even if Glasgow remains at level 3 I have a feeling an exception will be made for the Euros matches unless cases really take off and hospitalisations and deaths increase. If this happens then we could be looking at level 4 again.
