  1. Aye they’ll be no pushovers but not having a finals to prepare for doesn’t necessarily benefit them. They’ll be on holiday mode and as we all know from the last 23 years playing a pre-tournament friendly when you’re not going to the tournament is soul destroying.
  2. Don’t think Hansen ever scored for Scotland.
  3. 😂😂😂 That’s what happens when you only read the last sentence of a post.
  4. The last 20 minutes was like the Alamo so we were probably lucky to come away with a draw in the end but yeah it was a shocking decision. If the result had mattered Clarke wouldn’t have taken off Tierney, Robertson and Cooper and we would likely have held on as we looked comfortable until the subs were made. If we can score a few goals against Luxembourg our confidence and morale will be just where we need it to be going into the finals.
  5. Better make sure you don’t use too much sanitizer or you might need to leave your seat and go for a pish.
  6. How would you go about doing that? Just turning up early you mean? Or requesting an earlier slot? I would imagine the stewards would turn you away if you turned up early. I doubt UEFA will entertain any requests as they would get inundated with people wanting to change.
  7. Yeah it sounds like it will be a bit of a farce. Will be worse at Hampden (for the fans) as there will be no beer but at least the food queues shouldn’t be that bad. People won’t be up queueing for a pie every 15 minutes. As much a UEFA love fleecing fans they had to have some sort of staggered entry to prevent long queues at the turnstiles I suppose. They could have banned alcohol to try and help the situation inside the stadiums but their juicy contract with Heineken would have been in danger and there’s no way they’d want to lose that.
  8. Travelling isn’t really an issue if Fleck caught the virus before he travelled. If the team had stayed at home Fleck would still have tested positive and the 6 players would probably still have been identified as close contacts. Or at least some other players would have. It sounds like the Spanish regulations aren’t as strict as ours so it might actually work out better that the team is over there and not in Scotland. Travelling is safe if all protocols are followed. If it wasn’t the tournament couldn’t go ahead as teams are traveling all over Europe.
  9. Go on then, enlighten us.
  10. True but there shouldn’t be a need for everyone to go to the bar at the same time. If they didn’t have entry slots most people would rock up at the turnstiles 15-30 minutes before kick off. If they do sell beer at Wembley then you can only drink it on the concourses and can’t take it to your seat (or at least you’re not meant to) so it could be an issue if everyone is hanging around getting pished.
  11. I doubt it as it’s a friendly. Scotland National Team Facebook/Twitter pages would probably be the best place to check.
  12. Depends how they do it I suppose. As long as there are the same number of beer queues as there are turnstiles then it shouldn’t be a problem. You can’t have people in a stadium for the guts of 5 hours without providing refreshments. In fairness though I haven’t seen any confirmation that beer will be available at Wembley. Maybe they won’t sell it for the reason you have mentioned?
  13. It’s a pain in the arse but I’d rather this happened now than the day of the Czech game or any of our group games for that matter. None of the 6 have tested positive and none have symptoms so hopefully none of them have the virus.
  14. The quarantine rules don’t apply to elite sports. If they did the Czechs and would need to isolate for 10 days as the Czech Republic is an amber country. Not sure what rules they will need to follow when they get here but it doesn’t sound like the best preparation for a big match.
  15. No I don’t think so. Not the rest of the UK anyway. The rules are probably more lax in Czech Republic. There was a difference in how long Tierney and Christie had to isolate but not the fact that they had to. I think the self isolation period is the same throughout the UK now but I could be wrong. They might know more than we do but they don’t know more about it than the Scottish government who have basically said they are talking shite. Fair point about the Czechs but I’m sure it was the Croatians moaning about the cost of their base at St Andrews. Was a few days ago I read it so I can’t remember the specific details.
  16. Only thing that makes sense. The Scottish Government have already come out and said their whole squad wouldn’t need to isolate if one player tests positive. They would need to provide close contacts of that person and they would also need to isolate so maybe they assume all players would count as close contacts? This would only be the case if they weren’t bothering with any social distancing at all. The Croatia one is weird though as I think they were talking about moving their base to Wales where the rules are very similar. Sounds like cost cutting to me.
  17. Not accurate. Our whole squad didn’t need to self isolate when Armstrong tested positive. That’s just what the Czechs and Croatians are claiming. I suspect they don’t like the social distancing rules which they claim is costing them a lot more than they were going to pay when they booked the places originally.
  18. Maybe but both stadiums are going to be around a quarter full so you’d think the seat spacing would be similar.
  19. Scotland 5 - 0 Czech Republic England 0 - 5 Scotland Croatia 0 - 5 Scotland Predictions are about as much use as a shite flavoured lollipop. I’ll probably be closer than some people are.
  20. Tells you on your ticket just under the venue.
  21. Yeah nobody can sit together. All tickets are spaced 4 seats apart in each row.
  22. That’s exactly what will happen. Why would people go in earlier than they have to when they already need to be in a couple of hours early? UEFA must know that will happen and should be prepared for it.
