  1. I fancy Belgium to win the tournament. I would say they have an easier group than France and should be able to win their group with a bit to spare whereas France will have stiff competition from Portugal and possible Germany for top spot. Not that Denmark will roll over right enough. Surely this Belgium team will win something? They are not going to have too many chances before this golden generation start to retire.
  2. Amazing customer service. They should win an award for that. 🙄
  3. The Sun reporting it now but only with the same source. Not that I trust the sun but you’d hope they’d have done some sort of check before running it. There will be an uproar if it goes ahead.
  4. I wouldn’t put it past us but I think we would need to be the unluckiest team in the history of football to go out with 4 points in this format. We’ll just need to get at least 5 to be sure. Sounds easy doesn’t it?
  5. 4 points should definitely be enough but it wouldn’t be guaranteed I don’t think. Two teams went through with 3 points last time. Two wins or your prediction would guarantee it I think.
  6. Well I’d sack him. If we were to lose all three group games narrowly with one of our best players sitting on the bench would you not question Clarke’s ability to do the job? Thankfully that’s not going to happen (as long as McTominay is fit enough to start) so we don’t need to worry about it.
  7. He’s one of our best players and he can create plenty. If Clarke leaves McTominay on the bench and we don’t win he loses his job as it would be a stupid decision.
  8. I’ll still believe it when I see it. If it is true and folk start throwing bottles around somebody will be losing their job.
  9. I have no doubt he will go on to be a brilliant player but he still makes too many mistakes for me to be that upset if O’Donnell starts ahead of him. He’s still learning obviously but can’t see him getting much game time next season so even the World Cup qualifiers might be too early for him.
  10. You might not get in with a book in case you hurl it at the ref or something. Especially if it’s a hardback. 😂
  11. Where did you hear that? Someone else posted about it but I can’t find anything about it.
  12. As far as my councillor mate knows there should be food and drink stalls in the stadium as normal with markings and arrows on the floor for social distancing reasons and he hasn’t heard of anything to the contrary. There is a meeting about the fan zone at Glasgow Green next week but that’s all he can see. He did say just because he doesn’t know doesn’t mean it’s not true but that bottles wouldn’t be allowed in the stadium so that part of it least shouldn’t be true. He’s going to ask some questions and get back to me but it will probably be Monday.
  13. Seems odd that it isn’t public knowledge. I wonder who the concerned fans are? I know a Glasgow City Councillor so I’ll do a bit of digging.
  14. No. Certainly not for Hampden anyway. I think the UEFA website stated they aren’t sure about Wembley yet but that was a couple of weeks ago. It would be a bit late to spring that on people now surely?
  15. Where did you hear that? According to the UEFA website there will be food and drink kiosks that will take contactless payments. Not that I’m planning on spending any money in Hampden but I’m not sure they can expect people to go 5 hours on a bottle of water.
  16. Yes as long as Patterson gets a run out in case he needs to play at some point in the group games. Of course Clarke could surprise me and go with Patterson in the group games. Just can’t see it though.
  17. Whoever starts at RWB tomorrow will likely start against the Czech Republic so I have a feeling O’Donnell will start both games. I doubt Clarke will throw Patterson in at the deep end a week tomorrow.
  18. Scotland National Team tweeted updates throughout the game.
  19. Maybe he has a bit more ambition than going to the bottom half of the English Championship? Ih he has confidence in his ability he might fancy going to a bottom half EPL team and trying to break into their first team? Newcastle are hardly Man City after all.
  20. I’m pretty sure they drew with France fairly recently. They are certainly no mugs but there would be very little value in playing San Marino or Gibraltar tomorrow. We need a good workout for the team while still being able to score a couple of goals and hopefully keep a clean sheet to get some confidence in the players. I was initially surprised that we were playing Luxembourg rather than a team on the same standing as the Czech Republic but the more I think about it I think it could be a decent decision.
  21. Maybe because you keep acting like a child and claiming you know better than football managers and medical staff? If you were gracious enough to state something like “I really don’t think Maguire will make it as his injury looks a bad one” instead of “Maguire is out” as if it’s some sort of fact then maybe your opinions would be respected more? Anyway, I’m not wasting any more time on you today. Enjoy your weekend.
  22. He hasn’t been ruled out yet. I’m sure you know better than Southgate and the English medical team though. I’m not going to enter into a debate on formations with you again. You are like a child. Feel free to paste what you like but good luck doing so without confirming you are the Dark Knight and risking yet another ban.
  23. Well you think wrong. Southgate is hopeful Maguire will be fit for their first game but he’s doubtful for that although it is hoped he could play a part in the other two group games. He may miss out altogether but we’ll just need to wait and see. He has not been ruled out of anything yet. You’ve still got a bee in your bonnet about our system? I am fairly sure we could have got draws with Israel and Serbia with a back 4. Players are far more important than formations. Our formations also had no say in the penalty shoot outs we won. What formation did we largely use to get to those playoffs again? You are entitled to your opinion but your opinion on England is bizarre to say the least (in my humble opinion of course). Don’t get me wrong, I genuinely hope you are right but you don’t appear to have a grasp on how good England are at home.
  24. All that matters to me is getting out of the group. If we beat the Czechs and Croatia but lose heavily to England I will be happy as Larry as we will be through the last 16. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t be happy at Wembley, I would be raging, but in the cold light of day after the Croatia game I think we would all be ecstatic if we are in the next round even if we lose at Wembley.
  25. This is from the ticket FAQs in the website. It seems to suggest you can keep your tickets on the one phone as long as you are using the same turnstile. You shouldn’t need to pass your phone through the turnstile. Just hand it back to your husband immediately after you scan it and then go through. I’m sure the stewards will help you if there’s an issue. You won’t be the only person in this position I’m sure.
