  1. I think dimitrov could go close again, another player who looks at home on grass. Berdych, wawrinka and Tsonga will also be there or thereabouts. I always fear the worst when Murray plays Djokovic, the last time I felt confident was wimbledon last time around and I feel the same again. But yes, the draw will play a big part.
  2. I think Murray is better on grass. Some of his play at Queens was scintillating. He looks better than 2 years ago where he pretty much skelped Djokovic in the final.
  3. Glasgow 10k today. Good route, over the Kingston bridge, George square etc, managed a PB of 39.09 although my watch said 6.36 miles which is 0.15 miles longer than normal...so could have really smashed it.
  4. I'd say he is a strong favourite for Wimbledon now. Definitely the strongest player on grass for the past 3 years now......I would put last years loss down to his long term recovery from his surgery.
  5. Yes. Looking forward to the new route for this. A weekend in Dublin albeit a week beforehand isn't ideal but I'm still confident I'll beat my recent PB in the clydebank 10k of 39.22.
  6. If he goes on to win this it is absolutely massive, and could be the difference to him winning a lot more grandslams as opposed to just another one or two. Despite that, whoever wins here will have a tough task still in the final tomorrow
  7. Match is not over and even if it's 3-0 he hasn't been embarrassed. Djokovic raises his game to another level even by his standards when he faces Murray.
  8. Can't help think Djokovic calling for the trainer affected him, he only won one point after that. I used to like Djokovic but now I think he's a bit of a c0ck......although Andy has to be mentally tougher.
  9. There was an interesting programme on a few weeks back, basically saying many antibiotics could be redundant in the near future and basic diseases could kill folk just like in the 19th century etc. Pharmaceutical companies don't want to invest in new antibiotics as it's not cost effective for them. It's frightening the way GPs etc over prescribe, similarly how the majority of folk think they 'need'an antibiotic and put pressure on doctors to prescribe.....a bit of a vicious circle to some extent. Personally I've been prescribed antibiotics and never bothered taking them as I knew they weren't essential. Everyone in my family think I'm strange because I rarely take medicines, personally I probably am a bit different ? but I'd rather let my body sort itself out.
  10. Tobsillitis 90% of the time is viral so antibiotics are completely ineffective against it. The doctors prescribe penicillin anyway basically to cover all bases, another reason why antibiotic resistance is going to be a real problem in future. Anyway, bottom line is the chances are it's viral, don't get too hung up on the antibiotics, drink plenty water and get as much goodness into you as possible.....then destroy your throat all over in Dublin ?
  11. It's well documented its tough staying match fit at this time of the season when there is such a lapse between matches. Travelling to Thailand in that time for a stag really is far from ideal preparation, particularly when it's such a huge match. I understand folk thinking it's no big deal but it's a matter of opinion and for me it is.....especially when it could wait.
  12. I'll decide what I have a problem with. I'm not getting into comparisons or what I thought of other incidents previously. Call me wishful or naive but I would just prefer all our players had playing for their country a priority, with Fletcher it doesn't appear so and that's disappointing.
  13. ?? You spout some nonsense don't you? I'm a rangers fan, but unlike many I don't have a problem with Scott Brown.
  14. He's paid a kings ransom to play football, he can plan his stag for a fortnight later.....its not that difficult.
  15. I read he is away on his stag to Thailand for 5 days. Surely not ideal preparation for a huge upcoming international match. Could it not have waited until afterwards? I'd actually be quite happy if he was nowhere near the setup, seems a bit of a tool.
  16. I'm taking nothing to do with this match, I won't even watch the highlights. I know it's not the players faults it's happening but I just find it disgusting we are entertaining this mob.
  17. Clydebank 10k tomorrow night, looking forward to it as I've never raced at night before and much prefer running in the evening.
  18. I have an Acer laptop with a 11.1v battery, the old charger stopped working and I'm looking to buy a new one. Will a 19v charger be ok as that seems to be the only ones available? Thanks
  19. I also just imagine this weekend to be a scorcher.....would be a nice change.
  20. I watched the dress rehearsal, terrible song and poorly performed. Nearly as bad as Gemini.....I'll post the link ??
  21. Armenia to finish top 4 is my bet. Went to put it on earlier and never put it on until just now, came in to 14/1 from 20/1.
  22. People who put their seats back annoy me too. I wish planes never had the option of your seat going back and everyone was therefore in the same boat.......well plane! Ffs, long haul or not, it's not asking much to sit upright for a while. Sorry to hijack the thread but the other thing that irritates me is folk who queue up to board the plane when it's not their turn to board, and similarly the airlines and staff who don't enforce it. How hard is it to sit down and wait your turn, the plane isn't going to leave without you! On my way back from holiday recently I had both my boys sleeping on me in the departue area as it was 2am, being row 7 we were called to board early on but as I was having to carry both of them and there was a baying mob in front of me I couldn't get past them to board and had to wait until the very end which inevitably meant we had to stand in a queue to get on the plane. This normally wouldn't bother me too much but in this instance where I was holding two deadweight children it did. There are some ignorant people out there. Rant over.
