  1. cairney isnt a center md apparently and brown and armstrong wont start due to the weekends game, doesn't leave many central midfield options available with morrison and mcarthur being out.
  2. strachan says he wont start celtic players that have started yesterdays match, which is a heap of nonsense, more than enough recovery time. armstrong will prob get 20 mins. with Mcarthur being out i wouldnt bet against super john mcginn getting a start alongside fletcher ;-)
  3. its interesting that Bardsley hasn't questioned why he isnt being called up as charlie adam has been in the press, adam you would have thought might have mentioned him as well when discussing this if he thought it could be feasible for him to be getting a call up as well. i don't think anyone can dispute now that he isnt getting called up for "football" reasons
  4. where u pulling this from ? sounds like nonsense to me
  5. totally agree, some on here were claiming not so long ago hes the best we have had in his position since kenny dalglish !! apart from the malta game he's had 2 good performances for scotland in competitive games! both against croatia and they were ages ago. he is a good but not exception player but some people hold him up to be some sort of faddy type maverick which clearly he is not. on current form and recent performances for us he should be nowhere near the starting line up.
  6. we could always go 4-1-2-3 gordon robertson martin mulgrew tierney brown crainey armstong burke frasier griffiths
  7. gordon robertson martin mulgrew tierney armstrong brown burke cairney fraser griffiths snodgrass has been hopeless in the last 3 games and doesnt deserve a start
  8. lets hope llorente is giving him a lot of coaching
  9. been in the U19 and maybe younger team squads, won the youth cup with chelsea. defensive mid.
  10. yep, he looked kevin kyle when when i watched him
  11. no chance of that why arent spain bidding ffs about time they hosted something again.
  12. completely agree. apart from the thinly veiled wasted years slight ohh but... ;-)
  13. I didn't say that at all for management or team players, i think you have misinterpreted my post. i am completely fine with people playing or managing scotiand if they have a strong affiliation with the country, i.e actually lived here outwith being required to do so for their job, hence why i would have no problem with michael o'neil being manager of scotland (as he has chosen to live here) or a player who has no blood connection to scotland but has grown up here (feruz/dembele/ etc) i have an issue with managers managing a national team for purely financial, professional reasons rather than having a strong connection with the country. There is club football for that.
  14. just get him capped against whoever we have next after we are out of qualification and be done with it. whats the worst that can happen he turns out to be as shite as the rest of our players?
  15. that's how i see it too, international football should mean that the team and management are made up of people who have a solid relationship with that country as a bare minimum. and Irish the question i was referring to was when i asked you why u said i had to "get a life" for being happy to have 2nd generational scots represent scotland. anyway i cant be bothered getting into a lame argument on the internet, life hasn't got that bad yet. ;-)
  16. ohhh nice deflection. still not answered my question
  17. aye ok then so if martin o'neil or coleman managed scotland we'd have that in the bag would we? hands up on the forum if you are scottish and would want either of them to be our manager and please explain how i need to get a life because i'm happy to have 2nd generational scots represent scotland
  18. i actually love the old rogue apart from his pish about greeting about celtic beating barcelona because he was thinking about his dad, who was a hibs fan from leith. as for "winning" goal against england, clutching at straws classing that as victory we got beat 2-1 over the 2 legs and didn't qualify, certainly was the worst i've ever felt after a "win" i've no problem with 2nd generation scots, i could have been one myself and spent 10 years growing up in england before moving back
  19. I would be fine with michael o'neil actually, like the guy and he lives in scotland and has spent a large part of his career in scotland. if martin o'neil or coleman were in charge i wouldnt be going to games, no chance. cant stand either of them.
