  1. They definitely showed the goals minus commentary on Football Focus / Saint & Greavsie. Can't recall the strip colour though....
  2. It was Barnes especially but the other was Viv Anderson. Your second point is bang on. Absolutely shocking in hindsight, I was standing in front of my old man and turned round to say I thought it was out of order...and he was bloody doing it too! As mentioned before, different times...
  3. Aye, and a possible red card for Forster too which would've been a game changer early on. Sunderland actually won the game on corners (© C Brown). Bit of a shame for their fans, 750 mile round trip for that!
  4. Murphy's threat in East Renfrewshire will come from the Tory candidate, especially if Labour voters drift to SNP...
  5. Heard his new record on the radio, certainly sounds like an old Neil Diamond song. Similarly Spandau Ballet's comeback single sounds as if it's been lifted off one of their 80s albums. Credit to Status Quo then for actually coming out with something a bit different for a change...
  6. Agreed and if this swing was to happen next year we might end up with a Labour government we didn't vote for too. Another side to the argument. I appreciate Sturgeon is an old school left winger but she definitely pushed the independence to get rid of the Tories line a bit too hard. Re the OP, Labour being behind the Tories in Scotland is astonishing! Also if the SNP were to join forces with the Greens next year and take most of that 5% it could make a big difference as I would guess the Labour vote would recover a bit closer to polling day...
  7. The SNP should call his bluff and threaten to field a candidate in every UK constituency in that case. They'll have enough in the bank to fund it now...
  8. Glasgow's Irish quarter can make it to Ibrox just as easily. All that would do would stop 10,000 fans attending the Ireland game who want to, and have made the crowd at the Georgia look even lower...
  9. Austria. Latvia was the clincher for qualification. It was also on a Saturday afternoon, the Austrian game was on a Wednesday night.

    Hutton

Watching the highlights last night Glen Hoddle said although Hutton was napping a bit he got done by a magnificent pass, which it was. I would definitely play him v Ireland, he always did well against McGeady...
  11. Aye big Greer was solid. Whittaker had his mad moments but made some vital blocks.
  12. Noon... http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/scottish_fa_news.cfm?page=2986&newsID=13877&newsCategoryID=1
  13. Agreed. A draw takes a point out the group every time. If Ireland, Poland and Germany draw every remaining game between each other we'll be in a great position with a couple of wins...
  14. You're right! Thinking back to the 80s it's 1 win in 11 competitive games v England, Wales and both Irelands, and it was at Wembley too. 6 defeats!
  15. ITV4 at 23:30 for highlights
  16. Our best defender since Davie Weir. Looks like a matinee idol too.
  17. We were 4th in the table at kick off. Now got our hardest 2 games out the way too...
  18. Would have taken that after 10 mins!
  19. We thought Poland would tire more than us, it's been the opposite...
  20. They are a very dangerous team, would love their striking options...
  21. Chris Martin looks knackered already! Spending too much time with J-Law....
