Absolutely right we don't know who will make it yet. My concern is more to do with the lack of younger Scots getting a regular opportunity compared to then. eg. Killie had more players from Ireland than Scotland in their starting XI yesterday, that kind of stat worries me in the long term...

If you look at deputy leaders of parties in government they are rarely seen as one of the two most powerful figures in that party. Nicola Sturgeon is a bit of an exception in that respect...

Quite a few of those guys headed south relatively early in their careers too. Maybe I'll be proved wrong but most of our top clubs' first XIs seem to be loaded with non-Scots now, and not particularly great ones either (Eremenko excepted ).

I was watching Sportscene last night and thought back to our most recent starting line up. 8 to 10 years ago we had Marshall, Hutton, Whittaker, Greer, Brown, Maloney, Fletcher & Naismith all featuring regularly in the SPL, amongst many others. There just doesn't seem to be that depth of homegrown talent starring in our top league at the moment...
