There is such a thing as giving a young player a bit of support and not just writing him off because he's having one bad game, and not being helped out by his stupid manager playing him out of position.

The players and the manager are two separate things. The pool of Scottish managers available to us is tiny and doesn't exactly fill one with confidence and excitement. The days of "world respected" Scottish managers are now over. We have to look elsewhere for a manager. Why should we always be the exception and hold ourselves back ? Time to ditch these daft old attitudes. The idea of one David Moyes, Derek McInnes, Paul Hartley, Steve Clarke or Dougie Freedman taking charge of our national team makes my heart sink. The only Scottish manager I warm to is Alex Neil but I don't know if he'd be interested, probably not. So it's a foreign manager for me. And it wouldn't remotely bother me in the slightest if he's English.

Had forgotten all about Jack McBean there and the fuss the that the Daily Record some were making about him a few years ago. Looks like he's back at "LA Galaxy II" having barely got any game time on loan at a really pish Coventry City team. Is Oliver still an SFA employee or was he booted out with Levein ?

Not a bad young central defender. Played well for Barnsley last season and has been playing first team for Swansea this season. Doesn't appear to have played for England at any level either. I think we have to consider him if it's true he is eligible.

To think that this clown gets paid to sit behind a desk at Hampden phoning up clubs in England asking "gonnae ask yir players if any of them have Scottish grandparents and get back tae us ?". Genius.

I still can't believe how many people are totally opposed to the concept of getting a foreigner in as manager. And the arguments they use against it are stupid - "just because..." or "we had a foreigner years ago and he wiz pish so there..." or "we cannae abandon our traditions...". Apparently for the sake of an obsolete principle we have to end up with McInnes or Moyes who will continue to use the same conservative match tactics and selection policies that have held us back for years.

The veterans round my area spend most of their time moaning about "the threat to the white race" and "cultural marxism", so I think I can quite confidently say I am a much better person than them, yes.

Sssshhhh !!! Your not allowed to criticise our glorious, heroic British Army on here. Any more injury worries ? Was Morrison passed fit ? Who else could we call up ? Off the top of my head the only other Scottish central defenders available are Murray Wallace, Steve Anderson, Paul Hanlon, Darren McGregor, Danny Wilson and Zak Jules.

Your right that Dundee is long overdue having a Scotland international played in the city. The last time Scotland played a match in Dundee was 1936 at Dens Park ! Tannadice has never hosted a Scotland game which is a shame.

David Weir and Stephen McManus in central defence were a good partnership at international level. Don't think we appreciated what a good international player Gary Naysmith was for us until after it had come to an end.

I'd call it someone doing another a good turn. We need more of this in the world.

I nominated SNP MSP John Mason for his numerous foot-in-mouth moments. Would you disagree that Kezia Dugdale and Michael Gove aren't national embarrassments to Scotland ? Some of us regard the extreme self loathing cringe towards Scotland's culture, history, heritage and languages by some unionists to be a great national embarrassment.
