  1. Next time the pope dies I'm booing. Just for the shits and giggles. But it's cool, cos the ones that get upset at it are showing more disrespect than the ones that are booing (EK Celt philosophy). And it doesn't really matter, as long as we win (EK Celt Philosphy). As an aside, I don't actually care but love the hypocrisy when comparing this to a certain incident (Booers in both incidents are bigoted reprobates in my opinion).
  2. So basically in a day he's managed to add to the burgeoning National Debt and write off future income. Don't quite know how that represents shrewd finance.
  3. When it comes to Tesco, pay for it before pointing out their mistake. Then take it to the Customer Service Desk. Double the Diference so for every £1 overcharged you'll get £2 back.
  4. It goes by sales at that particular shop. No profit for anyone in returned papers.
  5. It's not about walking a few extra paces with kids, it's about opening the door fully to get them out their child seat. It's cool though, I'm all for keeping the kids in the car while I'm in shopping, just as long as Michelle Mone isn't about.
  6. Oh, I'm a fan of Ryanair normally. Just think that when you book with a child you should be seated with them. Note - even just one parent. I can't be dealing with kids on a flight. Let the mother deal with it while I moan about (my) children crying elsewhere on the plane.
  7. Ryanair. Sat my three year old son away from me and the missus (we were also seperated). Despite his peanut allergy they refused to take his epi pen in case he needed it (since we couldn't see him). Labelling me aggressive when I decided to do some seat moves myself. Middle class w***ers moaning that they have been moved seat by an angry "Scotsman" (we flew from Manchester). Ryanair selling peanut M&M's on said flight despite being told of a small child with allergies. They didn't understand the concept of recycled air or airborne peanut particles. The fact I write tits instead of tits on the tamb. Edit - Sm*ll birds is changed to tits?
  8. I didn't like my shin bone vibrating but found that relatively straightforward. You got behind the knee done?
  9. My two arms and leg have full coverage. Like yourself the inner arms were easy and straightforward. Might be a lot to do with thresholds but my tattooist actively advised against kneepit and cap because apparently everyone wriggles during them.
  10. I have two sleeves and one full leg piece. Still have one leg, a back and a chest to go. I very rarely let them be seen by anyone else. I got them for me. The kneecap and knee-pit are by far the sorest places to get done and with the latter, I clenched my teeth that hard a visit to the dentist was required afterwards. My next legpiece will not have the knee pit done...
  11. It was the settled will of the Scottish people at that moment. Society is dynamic and ever changing.
  12. I was low after the referendum. Really low. I couldn't take it any more so booked a week in Poland (Gdansk) then a week in tenerife (where I write this from). I'm still struggling but some time away from Scotland has helped. With every foreign national that apologises when I state I'm from Scotland it adds to my resolve to do more. More. Weird word. More powers. More than 45%. More than just a movement. I will see it in my lifetime and I've met a few folk on my travels who are feeling all the more determined. I got the yes logo tattooed to my wrist so I can cover it with a watch. Time will see independence. It was cathartic but these two weeks have healed the tattoo. It's not quelled the fire. That's overly twee but it stands.
  13. I felt the same as you but look at what was achieved! We went from 25% at best to 45% and the only way is up... From lunatic fringe to mainstream!
  14. The bitterness must be hard to swallow. This was, afterall, supposed to kill off the SNP.
  15. I put something on facebook that is apt here - so I'm just going to copy and paste it. Had a few mates arguing with some "ex mates" about this. _______ To all those bleating about the referendum being “rigged” or somehow not 100% valid, you’re wrong. This is the second time that Scotland has been sold down the river by her populace. The first we had the excuse that a few were “bought and sold for English Gold”, this time the masses were complicit in their cowardice. What we had was an opportunity for change, and it is telling that the districts that voted for Independence were the poorest. We ignored their pleas for help. We as a nation stood back and said to those in need - we’re doing fine, so go badger yourself. That’s that! I bear no ill will to those that feel British, none. I do hold those who voted for the union for selfish reasons in contempt. It’s not over. It never will be. Nationhood and self-determination are the basis of many ideologies and fights the world over and what was disgusting on the morning of 19th September was that people the world over have died to secure their nations independence, yet we had some cheering when the results were announced. That’s the end of my bitterness, what I and many others have agreed on is to move on. To do this we need look no further than the powerful scenes in Glasgow where the amount of donations for food banks was overwhelming. That’s the society I wanted to help build, not the one that was prevalent in the same place the night before. Salmond played a blinder on two things; 1) Giving the youth a voice - never has our young been so engaged in politics. When you look at the Ashcroft findings the young overwhelmingly voted for change. The old didn’t. Well, in 10 or so years you’ll still have that bitter, angry younger generation who were let down by their peers. I personally can’t wait, and for those like me, who will become the older generation, I promise the young that I wont be so selfish. You have that guarantee. 2) He has took the independence campaign from the lunatic fringe to mainstream. I used to be in the minority for wanting independence, now I still am - but only just. So - it’s not over and the amount of effort the 45% are putting into exposing something that isn’t there or saying I told you so - don’t bother. It’s not going to happen immediately. keep offering hope that it can be better, keep holding your local politicians to account and keep trying to build a better society.
  16. The 55 is apt. Age factors if you believe the poll. The young will grow up angry. This anger will be passed to their kids. Anger is a powerful ally.
  17. Dead, infirm, holidays. I'd hazard a guess that demographic would be a cross section. I think you're overplaying it and what's more I think you're doing it to somehow gloat. That's my opinion.
  18. I think a large percentage of us yessers are going to just jack it. We've fought hard and it just feels so hard to explain. Being Scottish was a big part of my identity and "they've" took that away.
