  1. Haha!! We all hold out hope that Barrie McKay will come good one day
  2. Porteous?!?! Jesus. He's a walking liability. Yeah. I'm far from a huge McKenna fan but over the past two games he's been fine. Not quite sure what folk are seeing to be slagging him off over these games. Agree totally. He's been decent this season. Hopefully the penny has dropped and he's realised that if he wants a big move, he'll have to kick on again. Agree on the bashing of McKenna. Folk seem to want to slag him off at every opportunity these days. I always liked the idea of a McKenna & Souttar partnership. McKenna is a decent defender But has poor distribution and Souttar is a dodgy defender but can play a bit. If we combine them We've got one very good centre half 😂
  3. When he has had that and made it to the Scotland team, he's shown he's not.
  4. Mckenna has shown both domestically and at international level that he's better than Souttar. He's also been pretty comfortable in both our games, so it's weird he's the one getting picked out for criticism.
  5. One of the worst takes ever. Didn't read on after this. Under Burley we attacked and went at teams. We were more shambolic defensively but much better going forward.
  6. Yup, was saying the same last night. Everything we do is half paced. There's no urgency to move the ball quickly. It's easy to defend against and results in us passing it around our back line for the majority of our possession.
  7. I do have faith that Clarke is a good manager and will get it right given time. However, last night tested that belief. After seeing us really struggle on Friday, with the players clearly uncomfortable and totally unsure of their roles both in attack and defence, to play the same way last night astounded me. Persisting with McTominay at CB when he's clearly uncomfortable there. All the while the midfield is totally lacking someone screening the back 4 and making tackles (something he can do well). Add to that we have our best player, Robertson, playing out of position and his attacking threat negated by having no wide midfielder ahead of him who would've ensured he isn't Getting doubled up on by defenders. Then in the middle of the park the players don't have a clue where they should be. We had the ridiculous situation where they weren't forward enough to adequately support and push beyond Dykes, yet also weren't deep enough to support the defence and prevent counter attacks. Fleck in particular was grim. Barely touched the ball all game. We might scrape a result vs Israel playing like this but Norway/Serbia will trash us.
  8. It sure was. Celtic normally just get embarrassingly papped out of 2 European Trophies per year.
  9. Terrible game but getting 3 points when not playing well is the sign of a title winning side. #GoingFor5
  10. Photo of McCrorie posing at Cormack Park with a Dons top is doing the rounds on twitter. Good signing, very chuffed with that.
  11. Yeah. I mind the story on the news about him cycling 50 miles in lockdown to have a cup of tea with his daughter in the garden too.
  12. Pretty much the opposite of John Hughes by all accounts. He's a big dafty but there's no doubt he tries to get his teams to play football with the ball on the ground.
  13. Haha great take. That's exactly how I imagine him to be too.
  14. No, I'm comparing an industry that's not so much in the public eye and provides major economic output, with one that is in the public eye but provides relatively little economic output. Guess which one the First Minister has chosen to treat unfairly and grandstand over... A mountain has been made out of molehills here. There's no reason games should've been postponed this week.
  15. That's a completely false equivalence. Let's stick to the actual situation, not fictitious ones. 9 football players have broken rules, all outside a football setting. Yet an two entire businesses have been stopped from carrying out their primary business function because of it. Plenty people all over the country (and on every building site I've been on in the last 5 months) are breaking the guidelines agreed to allow them to return to work. Now I'm not aware of any company that's been told to stop operating. Since you've already admitted you don't care about fairness though, this discussion is pointless. You're happy for one industry to be held to a higher standard than others and businesses told to stop operating, all because of relatively minor breaches. Ill call that out as bullshit and completely unfair. You're claiming yourself and Orraloon are the beaters of common sense, at the same time Orraloon is claiming he doesn't care about fairness and is happy for different people and industries to be held to completely different standards? I'd suggest that's a bold standpoint. If your only response in a discussion is to say "anyone with common sense can see..." and have a dig at someone you disagree with, probably best not to enter in the first place.
  16. So we all agree it's unfair and is just grandstanding then? Glad you got there in the end. Rules/regulations should be applied evenly and fairly, applying them more harshly to one person solely based on their profile is grossly unfair.
  17. So did construction. Can you show me entire construction businesses being stopped operating due to non-compliance with protocols?
  18. Afraid they did. You need to wander round a construction site or 5 and see how many rules are being ignored.
  19. So has every industry. Them not being followed hasn't led to entire businesses being made to cease operating.
  20. There hasn't been "an outbreak" connected with football. So your comparison isn't relevant. There's been two players testing positive in an incident unconnected with football. An incident brought to light due to the measures put in place connected with football. They very much are being held to a higher standard. It's farcical and complete grandstanding.
  21. Disagree totally. Why is football being governed by a higher standard than every other industry? If a shop worker broke quarantine is the entire store being shut? If a brickie did, is the entire building site? Shes making an absolute cunt of this.
  22. Yeah. I'm interested in what Ramy and slasher Have to say about this...
