  1. Glad you enjoyed it Bobster . I seen it on a plane too. That was 9 years ago, the last time I was on a flight posh enough to show a film 😁 I think I mentioned before that I had had a couple of drinks before I put the film on and restarted it 3 times as I kept choosing the wrong language 😁 And yes , that small friend would definitely appreciate the painting πŸ˜‚ It was a good film. I remember laughing so much at the party with all the boring relatives. Thanks for the Blackbird recommendation. Will watch that once we have finished The Capture on BBC iplayer, which I am enjoying.
  2. As ever, with Bojo , its all about Bojo. He brought it all on himself. Was the easiest job the media have had despite rags like the Mail and Express protecting him like fook.
  3. Make that 6, if you are not afraid of the female competition πŸ™‚
  4. We have a beech hedge 3 foot in depth, 10 feet high and about 50 ft x4 round our house and an electric hedge cutter works fine. I would say it probably a case of β€˜a bad workman’ and all that ….πŸ™‚
  5. Could I ask which Christmas you are referring to, just as a gauge ?
  6. Netfix’s - The Watcher. I dont even know where to start. Do not be fooled into thinking it might get better after one episode . It is supposedly based on a true story so I gave it the benefit of the doubt. Wtf. It is one of the most bizarre programmes I have watched in a while, and not in a good way. It actually gets comically bad as it nears the finale.
  7. Would you like to narrow it down a bit πŸ˜‚ Do you mean this wee albino hedgehog?
  8. 😁 Exhibit A. That white box on the left came in this brown box with all this packaging.
  9. I agree he is the only one with a mandate, but a few illegal parties is not the only reason he was binned, that is too simple . Nor is he remotely affable. No wonder folk vote for him if that is how he is described by someone who thinks he is a fanny. He is, in his own language, a cad and a bounder. Talking of which, do you mean Gove ? Surely not ?
  10. He is the only one who arguably has a mandate and therefore could prevent a GE, for that reason alone he must be a strong candidate . It is fookin bizarre that the guy who was forced to resign as as the Tory MPs we worried about their own jobs is now a strong candidate to be re-elected to save their bloody jobs. Because that is what it has become. A race to find someone to prevent a GE.
  11. I do have the same colouring as an Orangutan 😁 Och, you can never have too many loo roll holders . Have you gave any consideration to Mrs H’s Christmas present? 😁
  12. What a bloody disaster. Grant Shapps made Home Secretary after openly criticising Truss and sacked as Transport minister 6 weeks ago. Never mind Yes Minister we have now entered Blackadder territory. What will be the next cunning plan I wonder.
  13. I was being a bit tongue in cheek. Its not great to be burning wood but I am not going to give someone a hard time for trying to keep warm . On the other hand, if everyone said β€˜well I am not doing it cos such and such isnt doing it β€˜ we may as well just accept the earth is fucked , do as we like , and let future generations suffer. I am not a massive ambassador for all things green, I could do much more myself . I would welcome a carbon footprint tracker. Would be a bit of a wake up call. We are getting a smart meter installed on Monday so that will be a start. Probably of a divorce .
  14. Wtf, how high do you think my loo seat is ? I am only 5’ 4. I was standing taking the photo. This is an on pot shot, with the lid firmly down may I add … I put the sheep on the floor and not at eye level for the very reason you mentioned, it could be unsettling for some people. Especially if they were a bit constipated. However the πŸ‘€ follow you no matter where it is placed, its like that picture of Jesus folk had in the 70’s.
  15. This will be only polar bears left soon πŸ˜₯Look how sad they look.
  16. Shame on you Malcolm. I watched a David Attenborough documentary the other night about the artic. I was almost crying. So much so I have decided to stop buying all that shite my husband complains about. I watched it too late to return the sheep toilet holder unfortunately,, but hopefully not too late for the polar bears !
  17. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ Energy saving is not the only reason showers are preferable to baths πŸ™ƒ
  18. Why I would never take it the wrong way. I like him too πŸ™‚ I was telling him about some of the money saving tips from Exiles list , the TV being left on stand by in particular. He said β€˜ I know what would save us money, if you stop buying shite every week’. And that was before he saw this little beauty that arrived from Amazon today.
  19. My husband moaned for 13 years that our bath was too wee for him so we got the bathroom done up and now he is moaning the bigger bath costs too much to fill. So I would recommend that people stick with a wee bath. On the other hand we are now saving money on washing. Last night I went to put fresh towels on the shelf after he had one of his rationed baths only to find he had dried himself then just folded up the wet towel and stuck it in the back in the shelf thinking I wouldn’t find it. Its like living with a child who tries to hide their vegetables.
  20. Agree with most of this, however aaid is also correct in as much as , in this particular instance, Uk government went off piste and too far for the financial markets. The extra debt that would have been wracked up by the kamikaze mini budget went too far. Truss clearly missed the memo reminding her she was in charge, but in name only.
