2DarkBlues's Achievements

  1. Is Armstrong more on form than Anya? Same with Berra and Hanley? I reckon that starting line up is a pretty safe bet. It isn't the time for experimenting with our side at the moment.
  2. No point in reading too much into one result. Killie didn't play well and Dundee did.
  3. Nick Ross has moved from ICT to Dundee today. I've not seen him play much but he's still only 23 and seems to have been around for ages. Might he pick up a few caps in the future?
  4. If you look at the pots when ordered by current ranking (below) our dream group would be Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Us, Estonia, Moldova and Andorra. I'd take that but it'd be a lot of travelling! Pot 1: Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Romania, England, Wales, Portugal, Spain, Croatia Pot 2: Italy, Slovakia, Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic, France, Iceland, Denmark, Bosnia-Herzegovina Pot 3: Poland, Ukraine, Scotland, Hungary, Sweden, Albania, N Ireland, Serbia, Greece Pot 4: Turkey, Slovenia, Israel, Republic of Ireland, Norway, Bulgaria, Faroe Islands, Montenegro, Estonia Pot 5: Cyprus, Latvia, Armenia, Finland, Belarus, Macedonia, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Moldova Pot 6: Kazakhstan, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Georgia, Malta, San Marino, Andorra
  5. Ah, I was hoping it was Dundee. Reilly is a great signing
  6. Put it this way, Germany and Poland can't get more points off ROI than we do so I'd say that's a good result for us. I admit it could've been better but I'm happy qualification is still in our hands at this stage
  7. I'd take all ROIs players so they have to forfeit the game if that's an option?
  8. I think he just wanted to be able to work with players full-time. That's why he quit Alloa anyway so I assume Aldershot are a full-time club? When he was at Dundee he got the ball down and we played some good stuff (well until we were promoted to the SPL with little time to prepare). I think he'll do well and definitely isn't a negative manager. He can bring out the best of players that are at the club but I'm not sure he is the best at choosing which players to bring into the club.
  9. He's manager at Aldershot Town now. I think it's a bit unfair to write him off as a manager if you look at what he's had to deal with during his few years in management. He was thrown in the deep end at Dundee and did well to recover from the 25 point penalty. He then had to scramble for players after getting promoted to the SPL a week or two before the start of the season (due to Rangers going bust) and so he wasn't given a fair chance to prepare properly for the season ahead. As someone said earlier, he was highly rated at Alloa too so I hope it goes well for him at Aldershot. A lot of Dundee fans (like myself) have a lot of respect for him. He wasn't the most spectacular player but he was a brilliant captain for us and lead the team to a Scottish Cup final.
  10. 5 actually: Kane Hemmings, Rory Loy, Nicky Low as well as Holt and Meggatt
  11. I'm not sure why he's not more liked by TA. He seems to me to be the type of player that may not have the best club career but will give everything in a Scotland shirt. I know the last game was only against Gibraltar but he really made a difference to our attack when he came on.
  12. Can't we expect a bit more than someone who gives an honest opinion but generally talks rubbish? I prefer the type of pundit who can point out tactics etc that a regular fan like myself might not have spotted. Gary Neville does it best at the moment and Pat Nevin is sometimes good for that too. I still don't understand why Lee Dixon got such a hard time on MOTD2. I'm not interested in the Simon Cowell type of pundit that's emerging where likes of Roy Keane, Robbie Savage and now Joey Barton will say anything just to be a bit controversial. I want actual insight into the game.
  13. I think we should be really positive about Scotland's results so far in this campaign. The only slight downside is the results ROI and Poland picked up against Germany. If Germany had performed as expected the table would be looking brilliant at this stage: Germany: 15 points Scotland: 10 points Poland: 8 points ROI: 7 points Georgia: 3 points Gibraltar: 0 points However we can only control our results and if we pick up another 9-10 points I'll be very happy with our campaign!
  14. I'm not a fan of his. I'm all for people giving their opinions as a pundit but he doesn't half talk rubbish! He thinks he is a far better player than he actually is and was really disrespectful to a number of his fellow pundits and the majority of international footballing countries on last night's show alone.
