  1. Strachan to cap Arfield in the upcoming friendlies? Possible...
  2. Good he's found his level and playing regular again. Wouldn't expect him to feature in the next campaign.
  3. Tierney, Paterson, Gauld, Watt & Armstrong all in please. Give Rhodes, Griffiths, Russell etc a good run also. Greer and others don't need inclusion - If we need them as a lst minute stop gap they are there, they are a wasted place with the intent of these friendlies now stated.
  4. It's only wikipedia and a newspaper article granted. But both him and Barry Bannan are 1.67/1.68cm. Now away and cuddle your Banny Bannan doll and hope you two have a lovely evening together tonight http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/tall-short-it-how-premier-4503094
  5. Our own James McArthur is the same height. So is Alexis Sanchez! Your point is well and truly rubbish.
  6. A promising satement!!!! Scotland will begin their preparations for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers with an international double-header against Czech Republic and Denmark in March. Gordon Strachan and his squad will travel to Prague (venue to be confirmed) on Thursday, 24 March to take on European Championship-bound Czech Republic in their opening match of 2016 and then host Denmark five days later. In an effort to assess the depth of talent available ahead of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, the national coach will select a different squad for each match to maximise game time. Gordon Strachan, Scotland National Coach: “It's important that we use these two matches effectively and give opportunities to those who may not have had as many as they would have liked in the previous campaign. It also allows us the flexibility to take a look at some players who are emerging. "We would all rather be using these matches to prepare for the Euros this summer but we need to get over that disappointment collectively - coaches, players and supporters - and the best way to do that is to get together again and start planning for the World Cup qualifiers." Czech Republic qualified for this summer’s European Championship Finals as winners of their qualifying group which included Iceland, Turkey and the Netherlands whilst Denmark narrowly missed out on a place at this summer’s tournament following a play-off defeat to Sweden. Details of Scotland’s May/June fixtures will also be announced in the coming weeks.
  7. Was there for a game earlier this year it's some atmosphere and lots of pubs nearby. Not to mention the dirt cheap booze. And not to mention the.... err..... yeah.... well you know....
  8. Err... no he just isn't good enough
  9. So are we playing Serbia and Czech Rep???
  10. He's waited a long time for his chance, never really got one and it's probably about right given players ahead of him. He's a decent player but on a par with many who don't get a look in. If he can benefit Canada and wants to play for them then all the best to them both.
  11. Funny how dropping down to a much lower level has 'rejuvenated' him. Nice to see him playing but I don't see Bannan playing a big role in the next campaign at all.
  12. Am sure most of us will manage atleast 3 pints there
  13. Alex Mowatt!? The guy who already turned us down, is an average championship player - Often on the bench at Leeds and wants to play for England anyway. Liam Cooper - 100% get him in. Young centre back who committed to us at 17 and is arguably the most promising younger (he is about 23 so not young) player we have in the CB position
  14. Every other game barring those which you have listed above. And Gibraltar doesn't count. Can't understand the love for him in here, same as those who support Forrest. We are also terrible for backing players who had one good game 2 years ago. Scott Brown has been very poor for more than a year in the national team kit yet still is an automatic pick. Form seems to count for nothing, players then go off the boil and receive a call up long after their form has dried up. It's baffling.
  15. Well you've qualified for this one, qualified for Euro 2012 and also the 2002 world cup - All since we were both at France 98 which was our last tournament. Capiche!?
  16. We will take 2 humpings and also not make the playoff
  17. Desperate times; Very average championship level player at a poor club who has consistently disappointed in the past for us in being touted as a shining light. I don't think i've ever felt as negatively about a Scotland set up before....
  18. Easy to say when you fairly regularly qualify for tournaments.
  19. hahahahaha! That's just the way it is..... things will never be the same.....
