  1. Absolutely. Strachan says "he knows what guys can do" Well atleast be consistent with that statement. Gordon Greer is 35/36 and not getting a game for his club. Surely a chance to look at John Souttar or another CB prospect if there is one
  2. Charlie Gilmour? Small central midfielder is about the height of my knowledge. Anyone seen him play? you MUST be a good player to be at their academy... surely!
  3. Players who probably should be in; Ross McCormack, Graeme Shinnie, Jordan Rhodes, Tom Cairney... Bazza Douglas. Players lucky to be included; Several!
  4. Like Gordon Greer? 95 year old CB we really needed to saturate game time for to make sure he's ready for the 2054 world cup on the Moon when he's a decomposing corpse
  5. Hahahahahahaha that made me lol a lot.
  6. Lets be positive - There are some new younger faces
  7. McLean, Tierney and McGinn for first call ups apparently. Thoughts?
  8. In the baffling pecking order Scotland have he probably will be capped then
  9. I think we need to stop looking at the Scottish Championship at the moment if we are looking for younger players to be introduced - These players will be in contention at some point but i'd be disappointed if all the above were called up.
  10. It's classic Scotland. Shinnie is probably about 25 now and still 'one for the future'. We are one of the only countries who just don't cap young players. In no way am I saying it's correct but if Wales or N.Ireland had a young player at a big team he would be capped - Often before he had even played much in the first team of that club! Again not saying that's correct but we seem to think players need to serve their time till their mid 20's and beyond and eventually gets to a point we're better off looking at younger options after yet another failed campaign.... Arrggghhhhhhh!
  11. Because he deserved to be played - It was a meaningless no pressure game and he was the only uncapped player in the squad. The rest of your post is accurate.
  12. Bit early for McKay too really - Would be best to wait and see how he gets on next season? Same for McGinn. Impressive but a very low level really!
  13. I agree Shinnie should have played that night - It was ridiculous that he didn't. He should've started.
  14. You'd probably argue if Strachan was overly fussed about Shinnie he would've capped him by now - Especially in that Gibraltar match he was an usused sub for. Tierney has impressed repeatedly in Europe and is bang on form as he showed at the weekend. He's 18 and a huge prospect - He should be called up.
  15. Neither was Charlie Mulgrew before his switch to Celtic - Shows what a step up can do for a player. Won the Polish league - Playing regular and now playing regular for a good Turkish top flight side. Would be mad not to call him up in a friendly where we are trying new guys surely!? Especially when Scottish Championship players are being touted for a call up!
  16. Andy Robertson, Kieran Tierney and Barry Douglas should be the three left backs on form considered for the next squads - Next in line is Graeme Shinnie. Lee Wallace doesn't deserve a call up yet, next season maybe. And I am a Rangers fan - Just not a delusional one like most.
  17. Really hope Tierney is called up. Would like to see Barry Douglas get a chance too. Won the Polish league and playing top flight in the Turkish league now - He will have improved in his years away abroad and is only 26. Robertson, Tierney and Douglas 3 good left back options - Something similar for right back would be nice now!
  18. Was on the bench for them yesterday too. Mackay Steven sets up Griffiths for 1-0 Sellick. Tierney, Brown and MacGregor all starting also. And Craig Gordon of course
  19. Keeping our players in Scotland till they are 16 is probably detrimental! Again highlighting the difference between a county like ourselves and like Croatia
  20. I also support Rangers. He is not good enough for our national team, possibly not even SPL standard to be honest. Fully disagree.

Does seem like if you play for Reading them you are a shoe in for the squad at times haha
  22. Yep we're pish. Unfortunately aswell as almost all countries getting better and ourselves staying at the same level or getting a bit worse... New countries have been made who are also better than us. Depressing times.
