  1. Hopefully we can unearth the next Jack McBean. Think I seen Michael Oliver working in my local Tesco's the other day...
  2. Me neither apart from 30 minutes ago on Wikipedia lol
  3. Totally different issue - What do people think about Wales calling up Harry Wilson and Ben Woodburn? Obviously Wilsons call up at 16 was to cap him to tie him to Wales, the same as Woodburns is now at 17. Wilson has played one game for Liverpool and Woodburn has played 7 - They are just called up because they are at a big club and eligible. Wales are streaks ahead of us obviously but imagine the uproar if we called up 16/17 year old players who hadn't/had barely represented their club side!
  4. Agreed. There's probably never been such an opportune time to try these guys too; We are at rock bottom and have one of the most meaningless and least interesting friendlies in our international history tomorrow night. Also - I think he was talking about Alfie Mawson?
  5. Hahaha. You missed Ross Wallace out of the 4th choice GK slot
  6. No, no it doesn't. If McGinn was 17 and at a top club & Also had barely played first team football then yes, yes it would. We will see how he fares next seaon and see if you are right....
  7. Good example of the above now seen with Wales capping 17 year old Ben Woodburn. He's played 7 games for Liverpool. Would we ever do that? And Wales are far superior to ourselves. Oh and incidentally Shinnie is now a year older and still isn't capped!
  8. It's hard to gauge he's the best given the league he plays in. As I said, if next season he performs well, then he may we worth a call up. I stand by thinking that Adam, Shinnie, McGregor and McLean would be more worthy at the moment.
  9. Must've switched off after he ran it straight out of play ;-) Adam, Shinnie, McGregor, McLean all examples of players playing at a much better level being overlooked who would definitely be a better option than someone who plays at that level. Sorry that it's Hibs, by all means next year if he shows some form in the SPL then possibly call him up but guys who are playing regularly and well in the SPL and even the EPL can't get a look in so it's definitely bizarre that McGinn does.
  10. Wasn't so long ago Aberdeen got to the group stage and did fairly well. That's surely worthwhile? The Aberdeen team now are probably a better team than the Aberdeen team then and certainly have a better manager too.
  11. You'd hope he would get better when at present he is playing in a not fully professional league... My one memory of him during the Slovakia game was running the ball straight out of play
  12. If the likes of Cairney and Armstrong are in the squad and John McGinn starts ahead of them i think the last morsel of interest I have in the Scotland team under Strachan will disappear.
  13. After these next couple games everyone will get their chance again once Strachan is gone.
  14. No we aren't. Best outcome is probably dropping points at home to Slovenia and Strachan leaving.
  15. Nope. If we're down to Liam Cooper then I don't think Wilson is a terrible shout. He's looked good the last couple of games including the old firm.
  16. Phil Bardsley and Danny Wilson would have been worth a call up. I guess it would be silly not to just start Cooper v Canada now and see what he can do.
  17. Indeed. That's the main difference, not the team.
  18. He barely has this season and he's going to win the league by about 40 points!
  19. Makes fairly reasonable sense actually
  20. Goes to show how bad a pool Berti had to pick from, although there are some good players not in that squad.
  21. Maybe the judge will take it account that not wearing your seatbelt is cool, like smoking, and Snoddy will get off with it.
  22. our 5 centre halves being Mulgrew, Berra, Martin, Hanley and Jimmy Cranky?
  23. Phil Bardsley. There are no right backs in the squad whatsoever and the right back we have playing at the highest level isn't included in a squad which includes 3 left backs.
  24. Disagree on most baffling. No right backs is bizarre and the continual ommission of Bardsley is very wrong. John McGinn perhaps the strangest pick with the likes of Adam and Shinnie rightfully annoyed. Positives are the selection of Ryan Fraser, Cairney etc. Agree fully on the sooner they go the better. Shouldn't be long now...
