I'd agree with Johnston. If we're not going to get Livramento I think he's next in line at right back. I also quite like the look of Mellon, I don't know how he's done at Dundee but I thought he looked quite lively when he came on and nearly set up McKinnon late on.

I thought King played well tonight. I wonder whether he could do with a loan spell next season. Barron and Conway also impressed

Very comfortable performance so far. 3-0 at half time. Great goal from Doig for the opener. Everyone playing well.
  4. I was knocking on doors last Friday and delivering leaflets, got chatting to a more senior citizen. Had voted SNP and wanted independence but not keen on Humza. When I asked why she said he was trying to change our culture. Asked her why and it boiled down to alarmist headlines about SNP trying to ban porridge!
  5. I see that Ugo Monya features in that article, is he ever off the tele? He's done very well in the media for a player far removed from legendary status. Have they ever considered that Scots like beating England so much because the England, boosted by the media come across as arrogant and full of themselves. I'm absolutely certain that's not the case for many of them but it's the image they project Having said that there's some truth in what they say. We can't just beat England and congratulate ourselves when we then blow it against Italy and France (and very nearly blew it against Wales as well).
  6. Might even be a multitude of parties under PR with coalition governments being the norm a la Scandinavia. People with different views having to work together for the common good, may not be the worst thing.
  7. The only thing I can think of is the argument that even if Labour get in, they don't last long and you'll get the Tories back again. The only way to get rid off the Tories permanently is to vote SNP and become independent of England who keep foisting them upon us
  8. I have some reservations about Humaza's phraseology but is it really any different to saying Tories want to kick out the SNP?
  9. Lot of Man Utd fans ought to eat humble pie when it comes to McTominay, he's got them so vital goals this season.
  10. I'm just slightly puzzled by the whole language of 'demonstrate' and 'demonstrating'. Normally that's in the context of 'demonstrating' against something. What exactly are they demonstrating against or are they just demonstrating that they're a bunch of numpties?
  11. On the BBC website, I presume the debate was today: 'Speaking during a debate on safeguarding the union, Lord Moylan said: "We remain a voluntary union and that voluntary union is essentially based on affection. We are attracted to each other."' I wonder if any of those esteemed Lords pointed out the blindingly obvious fact that this cannot be a 'voluntary union' so long as members of that union are not told how they can leave!
  12. So if I understand this correctly MPs can't meet with people trying to overthrow democracy by violent means but the Government is happy to take money from people who want to kill democratically elected MPs.
  13. Just had a crown fitted and a filling. Feeling a bit battered but cost me about £150. Just checked prices for NHS dentistry in England and it would have been well over twice as much. I'm just posting this as I think there's a lot of people in Scotland who don't realise some of the differences and take a lot of stuff for granted. We're so bombarded by a biased media it's easy to assume everything in Scotland in worse than down south.
  14. Sunak needs to sort out his own party. Hester, then you had the contestant in University Challenge getting death threats because of a big mouth MP, Keegan saying she'd have punched Ofsted inspectors. For a party that claims to be concerned about MPs safety they need to set a better example.
  15. Got one right. Law of averages, had to happen some time!!!! Not really going to help Tories as it will lose them votes. But it's a terrifying insight that someone like him could rise to such a high position in the Tory Party.
  16. I'm with you on that. They used the actual transcript from the trial. They obviously sped things up a bit, edited things out. Iirc it was meant to be a four day trial, not less than four hours! Nonetheless, and the lawyers also said this, it gave an insight into the jury system that we usually aren't privy to, and raises some serious questions about it.
  17. Slightly off topic but where would you rate him amongst the pantheon of Celtic managers?
  18. Even when you were 3-1 up with minutes to go I felt that there was every chance you could blow it. On the plus side I thought Hoilett played well but I'm guessing he must be gutted now that Warnock has gone.
  19. Aye but what about Mathieson's roaming charges...?
  20. I think that's a pretty universal opinion except for Celtic supporters. Aberdeen will have to make an announcement in the next few days otherwise they're going to look really stupid. Strange timing, this might have been the result that kick started their season.
