Tip that works for me - if I am going on a session, drink a pint of water before each pint of beer. usually 3 or 4 pints of water are all I can handle then it is beer all the way - those early waters though make a massive difference to the eventual outcome.

So the challenge for the yes brigade is to ensure that this remains the case for another 20 years... if the union gets back in favour with young-uns then 'generation yes' will just have been a blip, like the student rioters in 1968.

An interesting article in the NY times. It reckons that people's voting intentions in presidential elections are largely formed by experiences in the 14-24 age range. The implication from this article seems to be that if you want to influence the electorate, write off trying to persuade the elderly and concentrate on the young for 20 years instead.

I took a photo of the White Cliffs of Dover last time I went on holiday to France. Thought I'd compare it to a picture someone else circulated of the White Cliffs with a message to refugees added to their photo. Mine is *definitely* better.
