  1. The world cup was the one though, qualifying for another bloated Euros through the back door to go and lump the ball up front for 90 mins does nothing for no one. He needs to go tomorrow otherwise we waste a talented generation on another dinosaur.
  2. Why the hell not? He's not a man motivated by money, you give him a chance to change the whole culture and he'll jump at it. We also pretty much introduced football to Argentina, so there's a (tenuous) connection there. We've required a foreign coach for about 15 years, you're not going to get the best out of this squad with Idiots like Clarke running the show.
  3. There are literally hundreds of replacements. The first we should be doing is telling Scottish to not bother applying because they are by and large fucking useless. Second thing we should be doing is phoning Bielsa, asking him how much he wants, where he wants to stay and how quickly can he get here.
  4. Until he's sacked, we are not going anywhere.
  5. Because they were playing a team without five or six starters, it was a dead rubber for them and it was one of the few times we didn't use Dykes and actually played football.
  6. Of course he did, it was the same against the Czechs, Croatia and England. You think we're playing Dykes with the intention of playing a modern brand of passing football?
  7. We humped the ball up the park quite literally from kick off, it was a clear instruction.
  8. I'm telling ye, he is not the answer. He played the same style and tactics at The Euros and we scored 1 goal and got 1 point. It was obvious then that his persistence with Dykes and that style of football didn't work at the highest level. He hasn't learned anything from the euros or even worse, he's not clever or intelligent enough to change his approach given the players at his disposal. He should have been sacked then and fuck me he should be sacked now.
  9. I just can't agree. The players were once again, in a huge game at home put into a system that so obviously doesn't work. Clarke is a reactive manager rather than a proactive one and this defeat, like the euros embarrassment is on him. He's got to go but that won't happen.
  10. They wanted it much more is literally just a meaningless platitude. They had a manager that knew what he was doing versus a guy playing 1970's football in 2022.
  11. This game was the an exact re-run of the Croatia and Czech games. Manager picks the wrong team, plays guys out of position, picks the wrong formation, insists on defensive approach, we play long balls to a striker obtuse in the modern game, clearly instructs our players to sit back and not to engage and 60 minutes later realises he's got it wrong. We looked good from about 60 mins to about 80 minutes, coincidentally the only time where we actually tried to pass our way through Ukraine and by that time the game was done. As with both the Czechs and Croatia, we didn't create any good quality opportunities and that's because our manager insists on agricultural football from a bygone age. I said after The Euros he should have went and if the SFA are happy to waste our most talented and technically gifted players for a generation on some dinosaur, then that's on them.
  12. I didn't call anyone cowards and i've not pushed for war, you've made that up, which is entirely on brand for you. As for your ' WhY DOn'T you go ANd Fight Ya BIg ShitEBAg' is just classic nonsense form you right wing, rabbit hole freaks. You people are beyond sad, you've spent the last decade of your life alienating everyone around you, you've no mates anymore, you've no family interested in engaging with you and all because you've been radicalised online and think Bill Gates watches you wanking to teen asian porn. You're vulnerable, you and others like you need genuine help, you need to engage with adult services because you're a danger to yourselves and other. And you are a massive Gammon cunt.
  13. And by not picking a side, you are therefore explicitly picking a side.
  14. There should be a team of psychologists working on you round the clock.
  15. It's great to see your descent into the pits of right wing extremism has continued, just as I said it would a few years ago. Please tell me you've went full crackpot and alienated your friends and family?
  16. Vanderark and PIAK heads must have exploded over night with the revelation that inferior players can give better players a game over 90 minutes with some decent management.
  17. There's five games you mentioned where we have 'shown bottle', how many of those games have we won?
  18. Strachan blamed genetics for losing football matches, he defended Adam Johnstone after he was released from prison and said last night 'you don't get beat by systems, you get beat by individuals' He does not, and I cannot stress this enough, have the first fucking clue about modern football.
  19. We've done that for as long as I've been alive. If Messi was Scottish he'd have not got a cap until he was 20/21.
  20. Again, I can't reiterate how much of a red herring this is, looking at it written down, 42 shots across 3 games looks decent, but how many of those are real good quality chances? We created two chances last night for Adams and McGinn, both of which were balls into the box that they had to stretch for. Against England we created one real chance for O'Donnell and the Czech match we created maybe three decent chances all of which came after we were chasing the game. The suggestion that we are somehow comparable to those nations mentioned is laughable, those teams play passing football and create good chances, we don't do either of those things. This fallacy that all we are missing is some sort of quality striker is just that, a fallacy. You need to create better chances, even our goal last night didn't result from incisive attacking play, it came from flinging a couple of balls into the box, getting a break and it coming to McGregor, if that is how we are going to attack then we are going to limit ourselves and get picked off by better teams every single time we play them. These three games have been dour and completely demoralising and if we continue to play like this, then we are not going anywhere fast.
  21. Primarily he's got a modern and progressive coach at Southampton, that makes a huge difference.
  22. I really like Armstrong but he was pretty dire in both games he started. In saying that, it's fairly obvious Clarke's style is one which puts safety first and creates fear and there's no doubt that then has an impact on the players.
  23. I didn't think so, it's a ball in the box and he's had to fling himself at it to even try and connect, similar to the Adams chance in the first few minutes actually. Our inability to break lines and get in behind full backs means our chances are very rarely of a high quality. Even the O'Donnell chance at Wembley, that's probably the best bit of football we played all tournament and it ends up in our fullback trying to volley it in, it's a difficult chance to score. As for the dykes one, that's a great example, it comes off McGinns arm and goes through to Dykes, it's not created as a result of clever and incisive passing, it was just a bit of luck. Our decision making in the final third is atrocious and that comes from really dreadful coaching. See Hendry ridiculous shot versus the Czechs and Dykes shot with his weaker foot from 25 yards against England that ended up in Adams having a Shot. On both occasions, the ball out wide gives us a better chance to score but we think trying speculative efforts are the best option, our in game intelligence is almost non existent in and around the box. Nisbets goal against the Dutch was the best goal we've scored in years, everyone making right decisions along the way leading to a tap in and it comes in a meaningless game.
  24. This 'creating chances' thing is a complete red herring as well, we hardly created any good quality chances over three games, odd one here and there but our inability to create proper chances is there for everyone to see.
